Chapter 144: “The Basilisk”

He looked embarrassed as if he didn’t know how to explain it to Sean.

This basilisk looks dull and has a low IQ, and its ability should be limited. Otherwise, the basilisk can completely threaten Sean with Hagrid’s life or directly attack him and then control his body like it controls Hagrid.

The ability is special but has no lethality. He still has to be careful and wait for the professors to come.

Sean unconsciously glanced in the direction of the Forbidden Forest. But he didn’t move at all. Sean wouldn’t use his own safety to test the authenticity of the basilisk’s words.

Naja lightly pecked his finger, which was ordered by Sean in order to prevent himself from being unknowingly dragged into the illusion again.

Sean said, “I don’t know you, and you seem did not need my help.”

“I don’t know…” The basilisk’s voice was full of confusion, “but I have this feeling that you can help me fulfill a certain wish, which is left by my master.”

“Who is your master, and what is your wish?”

“I don’t know…my master is called Isolt Sayre.”

“Isolt Sayre?” Sean frowned. He seemed to have seen this name somewhere.

“Come here!” Dave thought again.

The professors are coming. He and Dave’s mind differs from others, which cannot be faked. Sean regained his mind, but he didn’t show any abnormalities and was ready to continue to drag the basilisk down.

However, The basilisk that controlled Hagrid turned his head and said, “Someone’s coming. I have to go.”

“Since you want to ask for help, why do you hide?” Sean said.

“If I get caught, my master’s wish will not come true. If you want to help me, come to the center of the forest. I will always be there waiting for you.”

A ghostly basilisk crawled out of his mouth. It spat at Sean, the gemstone on its forehead flickered and disappeared.

“Wallup!” Professor McGonagall’s voice came over. She held up her wand and was riding on a horse.

Following her is Newt, who even has his suitcase. Professor McGonagall saw Hagrid standing in the same place, she jumped off the horse, and the horse turned into a piece of wood.

“Are you alright?” She waved her wand, and from the tip popped three silver cats.

The silver cats enveloped Sean and Hagrid, making them feel warm.

Sean breathed a sigh of relief and said, “I’m okay. But Hagrid is not, and the enemy is gone.”

The two professors immediately raised their spells and cast other spells. After making sure that there was no danger around them, they checked Hagrid’s situation.

“He’s okay. He just fainted. What happened?”
