Never Judge

927 Chapter 927

"Don't try me Lucius." Julia said as she turned to confront her husband. "He is long dead!"

Lucius took a step forward as he tried to reach for her, he looked desperate, making Julia doubt that he was saying the truth.

"Julia-" Just as Lucius tried to get to Julia, several police and military vehicles arrived, stopping right in front of him.

"What's going on?!" Lucius Ting demanded as men and women came out of the cars.

In front of him, Cedric too stepped out of his car and gestured for Julia to get in.

Julia gave a tentative look back at Lucius Ting, it seemed as if she was about to say something to him but changed her mind.

She shook her head, thanked Cedric, and got inside the car.

"Julia, no!" Lucius shouted as he reached out as if to grab her, but several policemen were already blocking his path.

Julia closed the door hard behind her, leaving Cedric standing outside of the car as he nodded, sending his wife and her friend as far away as possible from the scene.

"You monster, you didn't tell her he was alive!" Lucius Ting shouted as several policemen cuffed him.

Cedric observed Lucius Ting as he struggled against the police men, clearly he had no plans of coming peacefully.

"She'll know, eventually we will tell her the truth, but right now it's not exactly her right to know." Cedric said in a cold tone as Damien Park came up and stood next to him.

"She has every right to know that her son is alive and well! She's his mother!" Lucius Ting shouted, in his mind the true criminals were Cedric and his friends.

"Should we arrest him now?" Damien asked Cedric as the police continued to hold down Lucius Ting.

Cedric simply nodded, and at his command, the police men took Lucius Ting away.

"They are waiting at the police station for you." Damien told Cedric as a sports car came up behind Cedric.

He sighed and shook his head. It was never his preferred mode of travel, he didn't like the flashy sports cars, he preferred the comfort of a luxury sedan to one of these monsters.

Unfortunately, Ian had volunteered to pick him up and accompany him to the police station. Even Ian wanted to get some punches in when it came to Lucius Ting.

"Hey Damien!" Ian waved at his friend as he got out and stood by his car.

"Ian." Damien said with a nod as he eyes his friend's vehicle.

Ian couldn't help but laugh at how silly his friend was acting. Damien Park was in no way poor and his family was quite wealthy.

"Don't look at my car as if you can't have one." Ian said as he rolled his eyes. "We both know that you can afford one. You just want to keep this image of yourself and you are not happy with it." He said, rolling his eyes at Damien.

The policeman could do nothing but laugh at his friend's words, because it was true.

"We'll see you at the police station then." Cedric said with a nod as he made a move to get into Ian's car.

Damien simply nodded as the two men got into the car and drove off.

Ian noticed that there was something odd with Cedric's behavior. He was mostly silent on the drive to the police station and although he could always chalk this up as Cedric crafting a plan, he knew something was wrong.

"What's bothering you?" Ian asked his friend as they were stopped by traffic. One thing Ian hated the most about the capital was the traffic due to over congestion.

"Sometimes I wonder if my decisions are right." Cedric said with a sigh as he shook his head. "Like today, Lucius told Julia that Dominic is actually alive."

"Did Julia believe him?" Ian asked with a concerned look on his face, worried that their plan would be ruined by Lucius Ting's revelation.

"No, she didn't." Cedric said shaking his head as their car lurched forward with Ian stepping on the gas. "Luckily she doesn't trust him and anything he says comes out as lies."

"But?" Ian asked, knowing that there was some doubt and hesitation in Cedric's thoughts.

"Julia trusts us, she trusts us completely and when someday, Dominic is ready to meet his mother, she will find out we lied to her." Cedric said as he looked down and shook his head. "I don't think Adrianna could take her best friend hating her again."

Ian sighed as they pulled up to the police station right behind the police vehicles that had transported Lucius Ting.

As he had expected, multiple members of the media were already hanging around, waiting to see Lucius Ting or any of the high profiled guests that wanted to speak to him.

"It wasn't your choice to make, you're forgetting that." Ian pointed out as he parked the car. He didn't want Cedric to step out doubting himself. "You cannot make this choice and she has to understand that. She gave away her son, she didn't care that he was dead. She only cared now."

Ian tried his best to remind Cedric of the situation that Julia had placed herself in.

"Jonathan is right, she should be allowed to know he is alive, but unfortunately only Miguel, Veronica, and Dominic can decide on that. Maybe someday Dominic will say he doesn't want to meet her, or maybe he will, but this isn't on you." Ian said as he shook his head.

In the distance, he could see Lucius Ting being escorted out of the police car to a wave of flashes all around them.

Cedric nodded as he digested his friend's words.

"Are you ready?" Ian asked as Lucius and the police men entered the building.

Cedric closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He needed to face this, he needed to deal with this, it was for a better future for his children.

"I'm ready." Cedric said with a nod as he stepped out, ready to confront Lucius Ting and to send him away once and for all.
