Chapter 143: The Advancing Clawitzer

"What should we do?" Robert was growing increasingly anxious as the encirclement closed in.

With a quick change of thought, Yuga turned to the approaching Clawitzer and said, "I could release the Clauncher if you want."

Hearing this, Clawitzer halted in their tracks, gazing at Yuga intently, signaling him to continue.

Clearing his throat, Yuga continued, "Let's follow the rules of humans. We'll have a one-on-one battle. If you win, I'll release the Clauncher, and we'll leave without disturbing you."

Yuga's words made Clawitzer jubilantly wave their massive claws. But before three seconds had passed, Yuga added, "Don't get too excited yet. Since we're following human rules for this battle, if you lose, I'll have the right to capture you."

Upon hearing this, anger flared among Clawitzer. They raised their claws, ready to attack Yuga.

"What's the matter? Are you afraid?" Yuga's situation was getting a bit out of control, so he quickly continued to taunt them.

Fortunately, Yuga's taunts still worked. The leader of Clawitzer stepped forward, quelling the anger of the others and agreeing to Yuga's challenge.

Although the other Clawitzer were reluctant, they ultimately agreed under the command of their leader.

Clearly, the leader of Clawitzer had a strong sense of pride and confidence in its own strength.

Seeing that Yuga easily tricked Clawitzer, Robert nodded in admiration and gave him a thumbs-up, earning a satisfied raised eyebrow from Yuga.

"Let's change the location. The terrain here is all water, and my Pokémon can't move well." Yuga said to the leader of Clawitzer.

"Clawitzer!" The leader of Clawitzer nodded and agreed to Yuga's request.

Clawitzer and Yuga's group moved to an open area beside the water. The leader of Clawitzer and Yuga both prepared for battle.

Yuga sent out his most powerful Linoone, of course. Yuga was concerned that the other Pokémon's strength might not be enough to face the leader of Clawitzer, so he had Linoone take on the challenge.

Linoone stood on all fours, looking solemnly at the leader of Clawitzer. It was cautious and didn't dare to be careless. From its previous battle with a Clawitzer, it knew that this Pokémon was not easy to deal with.

"Linoone, use Headbutt!" Yuga took the initiative and had Linoone use its STAB move, Headbutt.

Linoone turned into a blur of light and rushed towards the leader of Clawitzer.

However, the leader's reaction speed was also impressive. It shot out a Water Gun towards the ground, nullifying the impact of Linoone's Headbutt attack. It managed to dodge the attack by disappearing into the ground, narrowly escaping Linoone's Headbutt.

Nevertheless, Linoone's attack didn't stop there. The moment its Headbutt missed, a Shadow Ball appeared without needing Yuga's command, shooting towards the still moving leader of Clawitzer and hitting it successfully.

"Clawitzer!" "Clawitzer!" "Clawitzer!"

Seeing that their leader was suppressed from the start, the other Clawitzer became anxious and started crying out.

The leader of Clawitzer shook its head, trying to shake off the daze caused by the hit. It lifted its large claw and fired a white dragon-shaped energy, Dragon Pulse.

However, Linoone was incredibly fast. It dashed away from Dragon Pulse attack by quickly darting in another direction. The attack missed, leaving behind a sizable pit in the ground.

Seeing the massive crater caused by the missed Dragon Pulse, Yuga shuddered. If Linoone had been hit by that attack, it could have lost half of its health.

"Linoone, use Bounce to evade. Don't let Clawitzer hit you with their moves." Without hesitation, Yuga ordered Linoone to use its move "Bounce."

Seeing their Dragon Pulse easily dodged, the leader of Clawitzer became frustrated. Immediately, it formed another dark purple energy and launched another Foul Play, aiming it at Linoone.

"Linoone, Play Rough!"

Linoone soared to its maximum height, a pink light surrounded it, and it spiraled towards the energy column created by the Foul Play, crashing into the leader of Clawitzer.

Unable to match Linoone's speed, the leader of Clawitzer was hit by the Play Rough, sending it flying and crashing into a rock not far away.

As the situation for the leader of Clawitzer became increasingly unfavorable, the rest of Clawitzer grew more and more restless.

"Linoone, another Shadow Ball." Seizing the advantage of the leader's defeat, Yuga pressed on.

Another black energy ball shot towards the leader of Clawitzer, who was pressed against the wall.

However, the leader of Clawitzer didn't just stand still; it retaliated with another Dragon Pulse.

Clearly, in terms of attack power, the leader of Clawitzer had the upper hand. Its Dragon Pulse shattered Shadow ball with ease and continued to surge towards Linoone.

After a violent explosion, the Clawitzer leader's Dragon Pulse struck Linoone, who hadn't managed to dodge in time.

Fortunately, the power of Dragon Pulse was mitigated by Shadow ball, resulting in only minor damage to Linoone.

As the leader of Clawitzer hit Linoone, the other Clawitzer immediately cheered and became lively again, shaking off their previous slump.

Seeing that Dragon Pulse had an effect, the leader of Clawitzer immediately launched another Dragon Pulse.

However, this move no longer worked on Linoone, which was now prepared. With a burst of speed from its powerful hind legs, Linoone easily evaded Dragon Pulse.

Yuga noticed that while this Clawitzer was indeed strong, its lack of training in actual battles likely made its attack speed slow. This was one of the main reasons its moves were easily evaded by Linoone.

Linoone, having dodged Dragon Pulse, once again accelerated and used Headbutt, transforming into a white streak of light that heavily collided with the leader of Clawitzer. This time, it finally incapacitated the leader.

Seeing their leader defeated, the other Clawitzer immediately grew agitated, with a few even assuming aggressive stances.

Observing this, Yuga's expression changed slightly, and he sternly said, "What's this? You want to back out now? Don't forget what we agreed upon! Don't forget what your leader said to you!"

Of course, Yuga wouldn't know what the leader of Clawitzer had said to the others; he didn't understand the language of Pokémon. He was just gambling on the leader's dignity preventing it from betraying its followers.

Upon hearing Yuga's words, Clawitzer indeed quieted down. They looked left and right, seemingly unsure of what to do.

At this point, a smaller Clawitzer stepped forward. It appeared to be relatively young, likely having recently evolved.

First, it pointed at Yuga, then gestured towards the nearby Linoone, assuming a combat stance.

"Are you saying you want to battle me?" Yuga asked.

The small Clawitzer nodded.

Yuga certainly wouldn't turn down Pokémon that approached him voluntarily.

However, unfortunately, the strength of this small Clawitzer was much weaker than its leader's. It couldn't withstand more than a few moves from Linoone before collapsing.

Seeing their smallest member challenging Yuga, other Clawitzer began to request battles with him as well.

One had to admit that these Pokémon were fearless. Even though anyone with discerning eyes could tell they were no match for Yuga, they still rushed forward without hesitation.

Of course, Yuga and Robert couldn't handle over twenty of these Pokémon all at once. They tackled them with their Pokémon, taking turns to battle and finally dealing with the over twenty Clawitzer, each of whom was at a level above 30.

Yuga accepted the Poké Balls containing Clawitzer handed over by Robert and asked again, "You really don't want them?"

Robert shook his head. This was the third time Yuga had asked him, and he was still declining.
