Chapter 138: Linoone The Treasure Hunter

Chapter 138: Linoone The Treasure Hunter

When Yuga and the others stopped, they noticed that the rest of the people and Pokémon had already gathered around to watch the battle.

"Both Big Brother Yuga and Brother Robert are so amazing!" Luna exclaimed as she clapped her hands in excitement after their battle concluded.

Seeing Luna, the little white-eyed wolf, applauding for them, Yuga couldn't help but feel comforted. He had thought that this heartless brat would only clap for its idols.

After the battle, Yuga called over Chimecho and Audino. He had them use Heal Pulse on Florges and Milotic respectively, then fed them a few Oran Berries to help them regain their strength.

Seeing both Pokémon were recovering well, Yuga said to Milotic, "I'm sorry for being too careless earlier. I hope you don't blame me."

Milotic gently shook its head, indicating that it had already moved on. Yuga sighed, impressed by how well Milotic embodied the gentle nature of its species. It was quick to forgive and forget.

Yuga suddenly felt like he was being a "green tea b*tch," causing harm and then acting innocent to seek forgiveness. Of course, he wouldn't admit to that – battles naturally come with injuries!

After their injuries had mostly healed, Milotic slid into the sea to stretch its body.

Once the onlookers dispersed after the battle, Yuga saw Linoone returning to its sand pit to continue digging.

Walking over, Yuga looked at the pile of items Linoone had dug out of the sand. He absentmindedly sifted through them and was about to continue when he saw what lay beneath. Shocked by what he saw, he inspected these newfound treasures: Shoal Salt, Shoal Shells, a pile of soft sand, pearls, big pearls, star sand, star fragments, and more.

Yuga picked out the useful items from the pile, which included materials and items beneficial for Pokémon. He then pointed at them and asked Linoone, "Did you dig these up?"

Apart from the items like Shoal Salt, Shoal Shells, and soft sand that could be used by Pokémon, the pearls, big pearls, star sand, and star fragments were quite valuable.

Linoone lifted its head, nodded at the items Yuga pointed to, and then with a sweep of its paw, a water-blue stone dropped right in front of Yuga.

"A Water Stone?" At this moment, Robert suddenly appeared behind Yuga, startling him with his unexpected voice.

Yuga patted his racing heart, "Couldn't you make a sound when you walk? You scared me." He then picked up the water-blue stone and examined it. "Indeed, it's a Water Stone."

"Who would have thought your Linoone is a treasure hunter," Robert chuckled. "Its Ability is Pickup, right?"

Yuga nodded, holding the Water Stone. "Yes, you're right, it's the Pickup Ability." He paused for a moment before raising a skeptical eyebrow. "Is the Pickup Ability really that useful? Can I just take Linoone out to find treasures and get rich?"

Rubbing his chin, Robert pondered, "It shouldn't be that easy. Even with the Pickup Ability, you can't just randomly pick up so many valuable items."

Yuga shrugged indifferently, collecting the items into his bag, or rather, into the system's inventory. He remarked, "Who cares if it's possible or not. Come on, Linoone, let's keep searching. We'll exchange these items for money later, and I'll buy you whatever you want."

Excited by Yuga's words, Linoone nodded vigorously and happily resumed its sand-digging adventure.

Observing Yuga's money-driven behavior, Robert shook his head helplessly. He wasn't concerned about these items himself; he was more curious about how Linoone managed to find these items so effortlessly.

If Yuga knew what Robert was thinking, he would probably want to spray him with a soda. Of course, Robert didn't care; after all, this wicked rich kid probably wouldn't understand what it's like to support a big family!

Under Yuga and Linoone's "diligent efforts," the sandy beach soon became dotted with sand pits.

Originally playing in the water with Rand, Luna saw Yuga and Linoone digging holes and found it fun. She picked up a twig and joined "the digging business" with Rand.

Dian, with his mom, saw the older kids digging sandcastles. Excited, he tugged at his mom and joined them.

What had started as a simple day at the beach had gradually turned into a sand-digging competition. Luna even played a game with the three-year-old Dian to see who could dig the biggest and roundest hole.

Observing this nonsensical scene, Robert gazed at the Baltoy beside him and asked, "Should we join in?"

"Baltoy~"

Chimecho shook its head, indicating it didn't know either.

Although everyone was digging, it was only Linoone, with its Pickup Ability, that managed to find anything valuable. The rest were just having fun. In no time, Linoone unearthed a pile of pearls.

While Linoone continued digging, suddenly the sand disappeared and hit rock underneath. Linoone called Yuga over, and he leaned in.

Beneath the sandy pit was not just golden sand, but also some brown rocks. On one of these rocks lay a rusted, black iron object.

Because the iron object was fused with the rock, Linoone couldn't extract it directly.

"Linoone, use Rotottiler to crush the rock beneath," Yuga commanded. Linoone lay down, emitting a tan glow that spread from its body to the rock. The rock instantly fractured.

"Good job, Linoone. Bring that thing up now." Yuga couldn't wait to see what Linoone had found this time.

Linoone brushed aside the stone fragments, finally revealing the object. To everyone's surprise, it was much larger than Linoone.

Linoone attempted to move it, but the object was incredibly heavy. No matter how hard Linoone tried, it wouldn't budge.

Helpless, Yuga called upon Florges and Audino for assistance.

Yuga had Florges wrap vines around the iron object and had Audino grab Florges' vines. With a strong pull, the iron object was launched from the pit like a cannonball.

As the heavy iron object hit the ground, it stirred up countless sand particles and made a dull sound. This caught the attention of Robert and the others.

Seeing that Audino had successfully pulled up the iron object, Yuga gave her a thumbs-up. "Well done, Audino. You're truly the big sister of YoYo Day Care. You're quite powerful."

In response to Yuga's praise, Audino proudly puffed up her chubby head, seemingly saying, "See? You had to rely on me in a critical moment!" It was as if all the setbacks she had faced under Yuga's care were now forgotten.
