I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 331: Circus Carnival

Chapter 331: Circus Carnival

Connor was sent as a backup to the fallen team of Aquarius. From Frederick's team, he was sent to the other side of the stadium so he could help the remaining Adventurers there.

"My name is Connor Carp and I'm here to" he momentarily paused after seeing Leslie's body cut in half. The cut was created with an intense flame that the wound was charred beyond explanation.

"What in the Six Realms did this?" Connor asked, turning his gaze to the four who were now on the ground, shaking in fear. "Even Frederick's flames are having trouble while battling Aviditio. This is something that's not from this Realm."

"That's because it's not."

A familiar voice spoke behind Connor, making the boy turn around and gasp after seeing Therese there. "The Priestess told me and Cain to help."

"Therese," Connor grinned. "But where is she? Is she here?"

"She's watching you," Therese replied. "She has always been watching you."

Connor nodded, looking up and smiling, "I hope she's okay."

"Are we just going to talk or are we going to fight?!" Levitican groaned. He appeared behind Therese and sat on her shoulder. "Because my flames can't wait to burn some Abyssal Being!"

"I'm not fighting anyone right now," Connor said. "My duty is to gather and regroup a team."

"You seem to be done," Therese smirked after seeing the four people hug each other. "They seem to be traumatized. What happened?"

"From fourty-nine, this is what's left," Connor said. He started gripping his knuckles and clenching his jaw. "That's how powerful a Sin is."

"Nothing new," Levitican said. He hopped off Therese's shoulder and raised his scepter. "I thought the Sins would be even stronger so I came prepared."

"Prepared? What do you mean"

Connor cut himself off when he heard a metal sound clanking behind him. When he turned to see what it was, his eyes landed on a flaming portal and a group of lage lizards carrying cannons.

"We're going to war," Therese said. "Everything should be prepared."

Two figures continuously clashed and pushed each other rapidly. One was three times the size of the other, but the smaller figure seemed to be keeping up with the other.

"You're fast," Livor chucked. He slammed his claws down to meet Jester's toy hammer. "And that toy looks pathetic, but it is durable."

Jester took a step back and pointed his hammer at Livor. "Blast of Surprise!"

Six gift boxes with red ribbons on them shot from Jester's hammer. The boxes circled around Livor who had a curious look on his face. "What's this?"

"Surprise!" Jester raised his hand that made the boxes lit up. The light from each box created a beam that connected each other and formed a ring. "Gift of Binding!"

Another round of beams shot forward and formed a rope. The rope wrapped Livor tightly, making the Sin tilt his head to the side. "This actually feels tight. But, no."

With a single sigh, the beam of ropes broke. It vanished into thin air while the gifts they were connected to stop glowing. Livor was about to attack when the gifts rotated around him again.

"What now?" Livor groaned. "Your magic output is smaller compared to mine so I'm curious as to why you can keep up with me."

The sin pointed his finger at Jester, grinning widely with his sharp teeth before firing a thin beam into Jester. Although the beam was fast, Jester managed to dodge it.

Livor moved his finger to the side, making Jester gasp. The beam swerved to the side, something Jester did not anticipate.

The clown threw his hammer to the direction of the bwam. He them slapped his palms together, and casted, "Confetti Party!"

When his hammer reached the beam, it exploded into a loud sonic beam with a blast confetti. This was enough to counter the beam that was coming after him, something Jester was grateful for.

He turned to see where Livor was, the Sin smirking as he locked eyes with the man. "You know, you were able to keep up, but for how long? I guess it's been too long."

Jester panted, his shoulders dropping in front of him. "I-I can still keep on going."

"No, you can't," Livor said. He dashed forward and slammed his knee right into Jester's stomach. The sin raised his claw, grinding his long sharp nails together to create sparks before slamming it right into Jester's stomach.

The clown could only cough out blood. The rest of his team gasped as they watched their commander easily wounded by the Sin. To them, Jester was one of the elites in the kingdom, even the entire realm.

He wasn't as strong with damage output and magic reserve, but he was able to keep up with the already stronger Adventurers due to his techniques. In a battle, Jester could beat almost all the Adventurers in the kingdom.

There was even a report that he managed to beat Johnson once, right before the man was promoted into Guardianship. These rumors spread around the kingdom like wildfire and they named Jester the Clown of Power.

But this time, right in front of their eyes, Jester was being toyed with. The clown looked like he was keeping up with the Sin earlier but now, they realized that Livor was only playing with him.

"If we gang up on him, Livor will fall!" Tempest yelled. He was the vice guild master of Circus Carnival guild. "He's killing him! Cater the Field of Flowers!"

Tempest raised his right hand and pointed his palm at Livor. With a scream, the man shot a green beam that had flowers and vines inside.

"What is this?" Livor quirked his brow up. He used his other hand and blocked the beam, only for the beam to explode into the vines and flowers. It all wrapped around him, binding Livor and making his claws slip out of Jester.

"Now!" Tempest yelled.

Another member from their guild conjured red balloons all over the air. The balloons were put randomly, but they all have the same general direction. It was going up to Livor.

After Tempest gave the signal, the members of the Circus Carnival guild scattered to retrieve their commander and guild master.

It was a sight to see after the clowns hop into one balloon and into the other. They were switching positions and moving as much as they could.

Each member of the guild was taught and trained by Jester himself. It was through him and his techniques that even when his guild mates have lower capabilities than any other guild, they still reign over the others.

At first, everyone was skeptical. Jester wasn't a noble, nor he was a child of an exceptional Adventurer. He was born in a circus and he lived his life there until his early teens when he decided to become stronger.

Of course, since he didn't have the best background among all applicants, Jester was rejected by hundreds of guilds. The history where he built Circus Carnival was unknown, but the guild was established and he started recruiting.

"The members of our guild aren't born rich," Tempest said. "Most of us come from the streets and a lot of us came from orphanages. Greatness does not come from our blood but our guild master made sure that we can rise up to the ranks!"

The leaping Circus Carnival guild members had reached the top balloon. They raised their hands and conjured their powers, attempting to strike down the Sin in one strike.

"We are Circus Carnival guild! And we will not let you harm our guild master!" Tempest yelled.

"Some are distractions, and some are illusions," Livor chuckled. He raised his hand in front of him, the Sin laughing after his arm passed through the vine ropes. "I can say, you are a very good illusionist."

Tempest gasped, seeing Livor raise his arm above him. He opened his palm and his claws started multiplying.

"Everyone! He's going to attack!" the illusionist yelled but he was too late. The nails from Livor's claw had stabbed his guild mates different parts of their bodies. One by one, the clowns fell to the ground. Tempest's eyes bulged out of their sockets as he watched his friends lay lifeless on the floor.

"And what's this?" Livor returned his nails and watched the blood from them. "I didn't hit anyone in their critical spots. Why is that?"

"Mismatched Socks," a woman behind Tempest whispered. He extended her hand in front of her while rows and rows of glowing bracelets had their light slowly die down. "I did my part, Jester."

"Thank you Marissa," Jester chuckled. He raised his head and grinned at Livor. "Nobody hurts my family."

Tempest covered his mouth with his hands, tears brimming from his eyes as he watch his guild master punch Livor in the face.

"How dare you hurt them?!" Jester yelled. He got behind Livor and wrapped his arms around the Sin's neck. "Realm Domination! Circus Carnival!"
