Human King

Chapter 126: Returning home (End)

Chapter 126: Returning home (End)

"Hmm. The sun is about to rise." Karkas said as he looked at the sky.

A long time has passed ever since they decided to camp in this place when they run out of manpower.

However, due to their defenses and hard-working goblins, they were able to keep this place as safe as the village.

There were many goblins who did the work and contributed to doing that, so that was the only natural result.

Besides, Karkas' brains worked hard in making this place as safe as possible.

What's more, the goblins had previously swept this place up when they were fighting with the wolves.

It would be just weird if this place weren't safe with all the efforts the goblins have made to make it one.

"The king is still not awake..." Karkas said as he whipped his head towards the place where Dawn was sleeping.

Of course, Dawn was still not awake, and Karkas could see that clearly.

Dawn has not moved a single muscle in this whole night.

It was weird, but Karkas have come to accept it now that Dawn's situation was even worse than he thought.

After all, even though he didn't trust Moris, Karkas first thought that things would turn out okay immediately.

Moris was a member of the Five Great Clans, making him one of the most knowledgable goblins in the world.

That was why Karkas thought that things would be okay, but...

It didn't turn out okay as Dawn was still sleeping.

Well, Karkas have accepted it at this point.

He just switched up his determination to protect his king for a longer time.

He would defend the king better, and he would expand the village in his king's stead.

He would make the goblins submit to the fallen king and make them protect him until the day that he finally wakes up.

That was how bad Karkas thought Dawn's condition was.

Well, it isn't easy to accept it for Karkas, after all.

"Karkas."

Karkas heard someone call him, and he immediately whipped his head in that direction.

And when he looked, he could see Ika walking down to him.

"What is it?" Karkas spoke as soon as Ika reached him.

It seems that Ika had something to say to him as Karkas could see the look on Ika.

It was the look of impatience and also the look of terror.

"We were out hunting, and we could feel the ground shake and rumble! However, we can't see anything at all!"

"Rumbling? What do you mean?"

"The ground is shaking! We don't know what's the cause as well, and that is why I came to inform you."

When Ika finished explaining, Karkas' brain immediately started working.

They were in a place where they could be certain that there was no monster, but they could hear and feel the rumbling of the ground.

That could only mean that there was something big down somewhere.

Something big and so monstrous that they could make the ground shake like this.

And when Karkas realized that...

'Good thing we didn't push it.' Karkas thought as he closed his eyes.

He was relieved that he didn't make the stupid decision to push and go to the village right away.

After all, there was the possibility of meeting that monster while they were marching.

No matter how many blessed goblins that they have, they wouldn't be able to defeat a monster who could make the ground shake like this.

At least, they can't unless their king is leading them.

It was then that Karkas heard something make a noise.

"Gaooo!?"

"Roga! Roga!"

"Chweee!"

And when Karkas whipped his head towards the noise's source, he soon found out that it was the goblins.

And the goblins were pointing their fingers to something with wide eyes and wide smiles!

It was as if they were so happy now, even though there was a danger threatening them from afar.

And that piqued Karkas' interest as he whipped his head towards the place where the goblins were pointing their fingers at.

And when he saw it, his eyes immediately widened!

Why? It was because...

"The king's body...is burning." Karkas murmured as his mouth turned into a smile.

It was weird for the goblins to smile as Dawn's body was burning, but they were all glad.

After all, this was the first time that Dawn's body did something.

Karkas would still probably rejoice even if Dawn were to cough out blood.

"No...it's not burning, but it's emitting smoke...?" Karkas said as he squinted his eyes.

The smoke was being emitted by the king's body, and it was being swept by the wind.

However, that was not important.

All over Dawn's body was smoke coming out of it, and it wasn't just some weak ass smoke either.

It was the smoke that makes one thing that the forest is burning!

Of course, that smoke didn't matter at all to the goblins and their enhanced senses.

They could see Dawn's body clearly, even with that in the way.

And what's more, Karkas could see Dawn move his mouth.

Dawn opened his mouth as wide as he could!

"ROAR!!!!" Dawn bellowed out a roar while his body was emitting smoke.

He wasn't moving, and it was as if Dawn still didn't have his consciousness at all!

However, that soon changed as Dawn's body moved!

He raised his arm and tried to grab something as he raised his body.

It was then that Karkas finally could say that Dawn was awake!

And that was...

"The king's black eyes!" Karkas shouted as he saw the darkness within the smoke.

And that darkness..was Dawn's blackish eyes.

Karkas was so excited that he didn't even notice that he was shaking right now.

Even though his heart was rejoicing that his king was awake, his body was scared.

In fact, all of the goblins here were scared. They just didn't know.

As they looked through the smoke, their instincts knew better.

Combined with the smoke, Dawn's blackish eyes were giving them hell!

"GRRRRR."

Dawn growled as he made everything in this place fear him!

However, not even one noticed that as they rejoiced with all their hearts.

"King!!! He's awake!"

And it was then that Dawn woke up in the middle of dawn.
