Chapter 1143: Section 1144: Safety Passage

Chapter 1143: Section 1144: Safety Passage

Time trickled away, second by second.

Before Angel’s eyes, red and green hues crisscrossed in a bizarre spectacle, these colored lights manifesting in various forms.

Sometimes red prevailed, spreading a fiery red mist; at other times, green took the lead, generating a multitude of green threads that intertwined into a net, driving away the red fog.

But these were, in fact, manifestations of energy.

In a state of extreme rationality, Angel truly could calm down and observe the flow of these energies, and with the help of “super calculation,” his information processing capability was not inferior even to that of an Official Wizard.

But even so, Angel still couldn’t find an opportunity to leave amidst the red and green before him.

The problem was that Fafnir and Komodo’s energy levels were too high. Even though they hadn’t yet come to real blows, the energy they were leaking caused a wide range of Chaotic Energy.

This Chaotic Energy was so dense that even after Angel had sorted out the patterns, and even analyzed the different entanglements of “wind” and “fire,” he still couldn’t change one fact.

—He couldn’t get out.

The energy density was too high; even if he could see through the illusion, he still found no opportunity to leave.

As the Domain of Wind was being increasingly weakened by the surrounding chaotic energies, and since Fafnir seemed to have no intention of replenishing energy, if Angel didn’t leave soon, he feared he would become the first case of “seemingly the focus of a duel but dying due to insufficient strength impacted by the energy.”

Angel looked up, only to see the grey haze of Dust, occasionally streaked with red and green light when wind and fire intertwined, yet still no sign of Fafnir and Komodo.

In such a situation, the string of rationality in his heart seemed on the verge of snapping under the pressure.

“Angel…”

Just then, a voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz penetrated Angel’s ear. His eyes flickered, and had he not been in such an extreme state of rationality, he would have thought it was a hallucination.

He pricked up his ears, listening intently.

This time, he didn’t hear anything, but he felt a vibration coming from his bracelet.

With a flip of his hand, a Blood Pearl, faintly glowing with a pale red light, appeared in his palm.

This was the essence blood left by Sanders.

After excluding other factors, Angel finally sensed the faint voice coming from the droplet of blood.

“Angel, can you hear me?” The voice was still faint, but at least it no longer seemed to fall on deaf ears.

The one who could communicate with Angel through this drop of essence blood had to be Sanders!

“I can hear you, but the voice is very soft.” Angel’s eyes lit up, “Is that you, Mentor? I need your help…”

Before Angel could finish, Sanders’s voice came through again, “The voice is soft because the energy nearby is too chaotic, and it’s being obscured by a Domain… To avoid losing contact, I’ll get straight to the point. Your current situation is very dangerous, the surrounding energy density is too high, and you must leave as soon as possible. I will create an energy pathway leading to you in a moment; there will be a vacuum of energy, a corridor around you. When you see this corridor, use the Gravity Meridian to escape; I’ll be waiting outside to receive you.”

Although the speech was disjointed, the main message was clear.

Upon hearing this, Angel breathed a sigh of relief. He had previously felt cornered, but now the tables had turned.

Still in a state of extreme rationality, Angel didn’t get excited too soon and instead responded calmly, “I understand, I’ll be vigilant at all times.”

With Angel’s response, Sanders too let out a sigh of relief.

As soon as Fafnir and Komodo fought together, Sanders had stealthily sneaked near the battlefield from the ice floe. Entering the fray while they were locked in combat would surely provoke the ire of both, with even more unpredictable consequences.

Therefore, Sanders could only find a way for Angel to leave on his own.

It was also a stroke of luck that Fafnir and Komodo had clashed, their energies entangled with each other, and Sanders was close enough to his own essence blood to contact Angel.

He had thought Angel would be panicking, but from the voice that came through, he could sense that Angel was still maintaining his calm.

This reassured Sanders.

After feeling reassured, Sanders began to work on creating the energy vacuum corridor.

With his abilities, creating a corridor amidst the chaotic energies was not difficult. However, to ensure Angel could exit safely, Sanders had to carefully consider his options. So, he too was observing the energy flows, waiting for the right moment to come.

Angel’s gaze was fixed on the changing energies outside, silently chanting the secret soul litanies, ready to react at a moment’s notice.

Time steadily passed.

The Domain of Wind was now hanging by a thread, seemingly on the verge of collapse at any moment.

Just then, a path nearly devoid of energy unexpectedly split through the interwoven red and green energies before him.

“Come out!”

Sanders didn’t need to say anything; as soon as Angel saw the path, his soul performed astral projection, dragging his own body along with the Icebound Hex out of it.

The moment he left the Domain of Wind, the frenzied energy from the outside world began to surge over. These chaotic energies were like a Rain of Blades, and even though they didn’t scratch his soul, the sharpness made his entire body feel a tingling sensation.

Angel didn’t pay attention to the pain in his soul and looked ahead with a sober gaze.

Following the energy vacuum’s pathway, he continuously calculated the deviation angles, speed, and the range he could move. Often, the path of passage would appear only for an instant, and he had to seize that less than one second of opportunity to quickly move through it.

It could be said that this was probably the most dangerous path Angel had ever taken. A slight deviation or a minor miscalculation would likely turn a living soul into a dead one in an instant.

After several shifts in position, Angel had moved more than a hundred meters away from the previous Domain of Wind.

At the same time, the Domain of Wind finally succumbed to the violent energy from the outside world and shattered into fragments.

Seeing this, Angel felt a complex emotion. If he hadn’t saved himself, if Sanders hadn’t provided support, he would probably have been ground into pieces by now.

Putting aside unnecessary thoughts, Angel continued to move forward cautiously and with great care.

When crossing an area covered by dust and sparks, Angel finally saw Sanders’s figure hundreds of meters away.

Sanders was now focusing intently on the chaotic energy ahead, his hands gloved in white like playing the piano in the void, leaping continuously. Each leap brought a note that added a new safe passage in front of Angel. Even for Sanders, sorting through the chaotic energy and forcibly creating a path to survival amidst the chaos was not easy.

In just a few seconds, Sanders’s entire body looked like it had been drenched in water.

Fortunately, for now, everything still seemed to be going smoothly.

Angel passed through several more channels in succession, and at this time, he was less than a hundred meters away from Sanders.

The exit and hope were close at hand!

But at that moment, a strange energy suddenly flew in from the heavens.

This energy penetrated the dust and sparks in the air, and by no coincidence, it hit a “note” released by Sanders.

That note contained all the information from Sanders’s energy sorting. When the note fused into the red-and-green-entwined chaotic energy, the information inside would automatically diffuse and seek out the predetermined coordinates to carve out a path to life for Angel.

Before, each note had successfully reached its intended location, guiding Angel in the right direction.

But this time, due to the impact of the strange energy from the sky, the note shattered before it could integrate into its proper place…

This meant the next safe channel could not be constructed!

And in Angel’s current channel, there were only a few seconds left. Once time was up, the channel’s energy would collapse, and he would immediately be exposed to the chaotic energy and torn to pieces.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Even if Sanders immediately reconstructed a note and sent it over, there still wouldn’t be enough time!

Life and death, in the blink of an eye!

A second later, the energy ahead already began to collapse.

In this critical instant, Angel’s thoughts suddenly became incredibly clear, and his thought speed seemed to break through some kind of shackles, making everything around him fall silent.

Time appeared to stop in that second.

Angel was glad he still maintained an extremely rational state, not allowing panic to distract him.

In such a situation, Angel didn’t even think about the reason for the current situation or the source of that heavenly energy, but directed all his thoughts on how to save himself.

All the conditions in front of him transformed into informational data, taking a roller coaster ride in his mind.

The ability to process information, the accuracy of analysis, and the speed of thought all reached their peak at this moment.

In a chaotic and crisis-filled labyrinth, finding an absolute path to life was very difficult. He was like standing on an island surrounded by fast-spreading lava, with the lava almost reaching his feet.

In such a desperate situation, finding a glimmer of life was almost negligible.

If his strength had been great, he could have grown wings and flown to the sky to avoid the lava. But with his weak power, he could only shrink back and pray that the lava would spread more slowly…

Perhaps, as they say, heaven never seals all exits. Just when Angel was about to give in to despair, he spotted a path where the densely packed energy was slightly sparse. Although it didn’t reach a complete energy vacuum, it seemed much safer than other areas with chaotic energy.

This path didn’t lead towards Sanders but towards a deep pit; what lay beneath the pit was unknown.

Moreover, Angel couldn’t guarantee that taking this route would ensure his survival.

But in his current situation, staying put meant certain death, while taking this passage might offer a chance to live.

Without any hesitation, Angel decisively flew towards that only path to life, and as he did, time seemed to resume its flow around him.

Amid the clamor of energy, in the next second, Angel plunged into the boundless darkness…
