Chapter 331 Yet
The blast sent Jake in the opposite direction, but while the impact caused a crater around the explosion spot, Jake still landed on his feet… However, his left arm suffered enough damage for him not to feel it… Jake used Regeneration several times, but he didn't see much progress.
Fighting with one arm was going to be tough, but Jake knew that the enemy wasn't much of a better spot. When the smoke dissipated again, the enemy was having a hard time moving due to the damaged cybernetic parts.
"I guess we are going to fight on equal terms…" Jake thought.
Unfortunately, the enemy summoned several Fireballs and fired them. While Jake blocked them with his sword, the impacts pushed him back for several meters, each one of them… he might have done something about the enemy's strength and speed, but now he had to do something about their magic…
Instead of blocking every single one of the attacks, Jake used Flash to the side and began to dodge them. He passed by the enemy in order to attack him from behind, but he quickly followed him with his eyes and turned and kept firing his barrage of Fireballs.
Jake kept running around, imagining that the enemy was eventually going to run out of mana, but it didn't seem like it was going to happen any time soon. He had to create his own chances instead of waiting for them…
"I already know what I should use next… I just need to get close in order to decrease the chances of missing the attack and make it hit at full power," Jake thought.
Jake kept moving around, getting used to the enemy's moves and the speed of their attacks. Eventually, he began to get closer, and he also could tell that the enemy realized that since the speed of his attacks decreased, and they weren't being fired as often as before… he was baiting Jake.
"Only someone who lacks fighting Experience would be so obvious… what the heck is going on here…" Jake thought.
Either way, Jake didn't have much more time to rest. The wound in his arm was the type that would take a while to get better. So, a dragged-out battle wouldn't end well for him.
Once he got close enough to approach the enemy by using Flash just once, Jake used and toward the enemy. Once he appeared right there in front of him, the enemy summoned several fire spears and prepared to fire them. However, Jake's sword was enveloped with the dark flames as he swung toward the enemy… unfortunately, it wouldn't reach him before he exploded to pieces… under normal conditions.
In the end, Jake used Thunder Slash, and a beam of dark lightning was fired toward the enemy, and it hit him instantly. The fire spears dissipated while the enemy was paralyzed all over… the mechanic parts began to melt, while the flesh of the enemy began to emit some heat while being burned, but in the end, it resisted a lot more.
Around one-third of the mechanic parts melted, so the enemy stopped moving altogether. Still, the creature was alive… Jake wondered how the heck was possible, but he decided to finish off the job before anything else. The questions can wait for later… Jake beheaded the enemy without a hint of hesitation… now it would be weird if it could survive even that.

"... I need answers. Everything else is consequential before that, even my life…" Jake thought while cleaning his nose.
Much to Jake's surprise, the ceiling of the city began to open, and then he heard the sound of engines working. When Jake looked around, he saw the buildings literally flying away and leaving the spaceship…
"I guess this guy was their final layer of defense…" Jake thought. "In any case, it seems that this place is filled with small spaceships, so I can't let the target escape."
Air was starting to vanish from the spaceship, and gravity was decreasing as well. So, Jake just hurried to where his target was supposed to be. The small spaceships probably will make bases in other worlds and control the people there, but Jake couldn't afford to think about every single problem…
Jake thought that the building that he was heading to would try to protect itself from him or try to escape, but he didn't find any traces of that. The windows were still open as if someone was telling him to enter. There might be some traps around, but in the end, time was of the essence now…
After jumping into the building. Jake looked around and didn't find a single soul there. That only made him raise his guard since it looked as suspicious as hell… still, the weirdest thing only showed up a bit later.
"Welcome, traveler. How can I help you?"
"... For starters, tell me where you are," Jake replied.
"Before that, might I ask some questions of you? You don't look like the inhabitants of that world, so why did you get in our way?"
"You're Not the one asking questions here, buddy," Jake said. "Still, I supposed it would be rude to deal with you without saying anything. Let's say that I have a grudge against those that started the end of my home planet,"
"After analyzing your DNA, it doesn't seem that you belong to any place here. There is a species similar living on a planet called Earth, but they have yet to awaken to the system… still, you are part of two…"
