Chapter 181: Illya is the victim? No, she is attacker!!

"Why am I your second master? What happened to your first master?" Hearing Illya's soul-searching question, Ruby, who had just been excited about successfully tricking Illya into forming a contract, now felt like he was caught red-handed.

In Illya's hand, Ruby twisted and squirmed, stuttering in response. "Uh... ahaha, originally, I was supposed to save the world together with my previous master, but due to some uncontrollable circumstances... I, uh, I accidentally fell out of the interdimensional teleportation channel..."

Hearing Ruby's description, Illya couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. She immediately asked, "And then? What happened?"

"Uh, I, uh... accidentally grabbed my previous master, 'SuperIlya's,' ankle while falling out of the interdimensional channel. And then, I accidentally pulled her out too," Ruby explained with a mental image of himself and his previous master falling out of the channel.

Now, both of them were flung into an unknown universe, and no one knew where they ended up. It was only a matter of hope that they were safe and sound.

Because Ruby lost his first master, he came to this snowy plain to find his new master, who was now the successfully contracted Illya.

"Ah?" Illya was taken aback upon hearing this. She suddenly felt like the word "danger" was written above her head.

Ruby noticed Illya's concern and hurriedly injected some courage into her. "But please rest assured, my previous master departed peacefully!"

However, as soon as Ruby said this, Illya's expression turned terrified, and she quickly distanced her hand holding Ruby. She was only 8 years old and still very young; she didn't want to die!

If she were to suddenly meet the same fate as that person who disappeared after becoming a Mahou Shoujo, her 9-year-old mother would undoubtedly be devastated.

So, with her hand keeping a distance from Ruby, Illya asked fearfully, "What do you mean by 'departed peacefully'?!"

"After realizing Illya's terrified reaction, Ruby seemed to understand the problem and quickly changed its narrative, describing the scene when its first master fell out of the interdimensional teleportation channel.

"Oh no, I misspoke! She didn't depart peacefully; she screamed so loudly!" Ruby said, trying to rectify its previous statement.

Upon hearing this, Illya's pupils dilated, and her heart turned cold. She felt like she had been thoroughly deceived. "This can't be happening; I've been duped!" she thought.

As the realization hit her, Illya's face turned horrified. She closed her eyes tightly, gripping Ruby's handle, and then she swung Ruby around in an attempt to get rid of it, shouting, "No, no, no! Get away!"

Before Ruby could respond, it was overwhelmed by extreme dizziness and disorientation. Illya's wild swinging created a powerful gale that blew the entire ceiling off the castle, revealing several floors above.

Luckily, no one was living on those upper floors, but the unconscious maid was thrown outside, landing safely in the snowy courtyard.

Feeling the elements churning in its 'stomach,' Ruby pleaded, "Stop, stop, stop!!! Please, let go! I'm feeling nauseous!"

"Let go of it! Quick, let go!" Illya finally realized that she was holding Ruby too tightly, which explained why it hadn't been thrown away despite her vigorous attempts.

Once she realized this, Illya decisively released her grip on Ruby's handle. Upon being released, Ruby spiraled away like a flying stick. Initially, it seemed to achieve an incredible speed, at least ten times the speed of sound, creating a sonic boom.

However, Ruby had a unique deceleration technique. After flying about five meters, it rapidly decelerated from its supersonic speed to a complete stop.

As Ruby stopped, it gave Illya a deep look and then tilted its head to one side, beginning to 'vomit.' "Ughhhhhh~" it gestured, creating a beautiful rainbow flowing out of its 'mouth,' despite not having a mouth at all.

Within moments, Ruby vomited a multitude of rainbows on the floor. After wiping its 'mouth' with the handle, Ruby stared at Illya with fear, thinking, 'Oh no, I seem to have found a troublesome child as my master!'

As Illya opened her eyes, she noticed that Ruby was still hovering not far in front of her. She was immediately scared and shouted, "Don't come any closer!"

But before she could finish her sentence, Ruby preemptively yelled the same words, "Don't come any closer!"

Although Ruby didn't have a face, it was evident that it was feeling afraid.

"Uh...what?" Illya blinked a few times, realizing that this seemingly soft and timid object was actually afraid of her.

To test her theory, Illya bravely took a step forward and raised her hands like claws, pretending to grab Ruby. "Roar!" she pretended to growl.

"Umm...?!" Startled by Illya's actions, the already soft Ruby became even softer.

"Oh, it's true!" Illya's eyes lit up at the sight.

With a gentle wave of her hand, the scared Ruby, who was now trembling, slowly flew towards Illya, seemingly uncontrollable. "No, no!" Ruby struggled, but it continued to fly towards Illya involuntarily, desperately pleading, "Don't!"

Clearly, the roles of attacker and target had reversed. Ruby was now the one who seemed afraid!
