Type-Moon, but the Servant is Tom

Chapter 136: The Severe Schrödinger PTSD

Chapter 136: The Severe Schrödinger PTSD

"... Spike, did you eat a person?" Upon hearing Bai Song's question, Spike, who was looking excitedly at Bai Song, paused as if not understanding what his owner was saying.

Although Spike was confused, it seemed his confusion level didn't surpass Bai Song's. In the time it took to have a meal, Bai Song realized that his dog might have eaten a person.

Seeing Spike's silence, Bai Song assumed Spike had tacitly agreed with what he had just said. Seizing the opportunity, Bai Song immediately seized the moment, his expression appearing "sad" and somewhat excited as he shouted out the words he had always wanted to say.

"C Chulainn is dead!"

Upon hearing Bai Song's statement again, the perplexed Spike began to panic. It had a strange feeling of being wrongly accused, so it quickly shook its head.

Seeing Spike shaking its head, Bai Song then asked, "What? You didn't eat C Chulainn?"

Spike didn't know who C Chulainn was, but based on the context, it was clearly referring to the man who had come to pick a fight earlier and called Spike a dumb dog. After a moment of thought, Spike nodded.

"Are you sure?" Bai Song asked, looking at the chaotic scene around them, clearly still skeptical.

Seemingly aware that its owner didn't fully trust it, Spike, as a loyal dog, immediately became anxious. It quickly got up, opened its jaws wide, and pointed to its own mouth.

"... Are you suggesting that I stick my head into your mouth to see?" Bai Song asked after hearing Spike's response.

Upon hearing this, Spike decisively nodded.

After nodding, Spike opened its dog mouth even wider.

Bai Song knew very well that as a comedic character, Spike couldn't possibly kill anyone. If it really had eaten C Chulainn, then C Chulainn would definitely be trapped in its stomach.

But knowing it and actually sticking his head into the dog's mouth were two different things. Bai Song found this method highly inappropriate. Asking him to put his head inside a dog's mouth? Wasn't that absurd?!

Bai Song didn't hesitate at all and firmly refused Spike's misguided suggestion. "But I refuse!"

As soon as Bai Song refused, Spike immediately became crestfallen. However, it didn't stay crestfallen for long before it figured out how to prove that it hadn't actually eaten C Chulainn.

The method of proof was quite simple. Since Bai Song wasn't willing to put his head into Spike's mouth, all Spike needed to do was find someone who was willing. In Spike's opinion, Tom, hanging around Bai Song's neck, seemed like a good candidate. Even if Tom didn't want to, he would have to be willing!

At that moment, Tom was happily sitting on Bai Song's neck, enjoying the show and occasionally bursting into laughter.

Spike decisively pointed towards Bai Song's neck and then towards its own mouth.

Bai Song easily understood Spike's intention and his eyes lit up. "Put Tom into your mouth? Good idea!"

"Tom, I'm counting on you for this. I'll treat you to fried chicken later!"

Spike nodded and widened its mouth even further.

"Oh hohoho... huh?" Tom, still covering his mouth and chuckling while watching Spike's amusement, suddenly realized that he had become the subject of entertainment. Instantly, the cat's expression froze.

Tom desperately tried to escape, but Spike responded by tightening its grip around Tom's neck. With a single hand, Spike forced Tom into its mouth, completely disregarding Tom's feelings.

In a split second, Tom entered Spike's mouth, with only his lower half flailing outside.

After spending several seconds in Spike's belly, Spike pulled Tom out from its stomach.

"Gurgle~" When Tom was pulled out, his entire cat face turned green. His neck slanted to the side, as if he were about to be sick, indicating that the taste inside Spike's stomach was far from pleasant.

"Tom, is there a person inside?" Bai Song asked.

Upon hearing Bai Song's question, Tom trembled and crossed his hands over his chest, making an 'X' gesture.

Seeing Tom's gesture to clarify, Spike wiped the cold sweat from its forehead. It was genuinely afraid that Bai Song would think it had actually eaten a person and abandon it.

"That's good, you didn't eat him," Bai Song reassured. He then wrapped Tom around his neck.

Afterwards, Bai Song untied the rope that was securing Spike to the dog post, holding Spike's leash as he prepared to leave. After all, he had come to the amusement park to enjoy free food, not to get into fights. If he could avoid conflict, he would.

Now that Bai Song was certain that there were Servants nearby, he had no intention of lingering any longer. He planned to check the battery level of his electric scooter. If it was sufficiently charged, he would ride the scooter and leave the area.

After all, freeloading meant exploring a large amusement park. There was no need to stay in one place.

"Master, are you okay?" Red Archer approached Gudako, attempting to show some concern.

Since he had never been on the frontlines in Chaldea, he had no idea what Gudako had experienced in the previous Singularity. He only knew that for the past few days, the pressure of cooking for the residents of Chaldea had gradually decreased. Normally, just preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the residents would exhaust him to the point of potential breakdown. But starting from a few days ago, the amount of food he needed to prepare had significantly decreased to only a few Chaldea staff members and a handful of Servants. This was something that had never happened before.

All of this exposed the crisis that Chaldea was facing to this humble chef. Clearly, Chaldea had fallen into an unprecedented danger.

"It's not like I'm fine," Gudako said, squatting on the ground in an Asian squat position. She absentmindedly drew circles on the ground with her finger, feeling despondent.

"Senpai, please cheer up. Maybe we can make it through this," Mashu said, attempting to comfort Gudako once again.

But it was evident that Gudako's "Schrdinger" version of post-war trauma was not something that could be easily cured, unless... unless she could beat up Schrdinger and all the other cat, mouse, and dog versions. Otherwise, it would be difficult to heal.

Mashu's words only made things worse. Gudako became even more panicked. "This world is so terrifying..."

At the moment, Gudako just wanted to silently escape from reality.

"Is this 'Schrdinger' you mentioned very powerful?" Red Archer raised an eyebrow, looking at Gudako's fearful expression. He couldn't help but feel puzzled.

In response, Mashu turned to Red Archer and explained, "It's not about whether he's strong or not. He's just... very rare. In any case, he's not a Servant that a couple of Servants can handle."
