Chapter 9: (2/9)

"Good. Now go to your parents' house and kill them too." The Second Soul said.

Kain sneaked to his parents' house and killed Natali in her sleep. Hagar woke up on time to grab his sword and fought back while continuing to ask Kain what was wrong with him. Hagar was a ninth-tier warrior so Kain couldn't defeat him in physical combat. Kain remembered he is a magic caster and doesn't need to waste his time fighting with Hagar physically. Kain casted [Conjure Ice Gargoyle] two times and commanded them to kill Hagar.

After slain his entire family, Kain closed his eyes to wait for this illusion world to collapse to bring him back to reality. Instead of that, Kain heard his Second Soul laugh out loud and said, "Haha you are an idiot."

Kain opened his eyes and was confused as to why his Second Soul insulted him like that. Kain saw the Second Soul slowly transform into a tall man, with white hair, and had a face that he had never met.

The man said, "I am Tykan, Watcher of the Hell Realm. You have slain your entire family just because you wanted to pass the trial to successfully duplicate your Twin Soul for massive power. But you know what? You have passed a nonexistent trial, Kain Bersk. I won't grant my power to such an evil person."

"Didn't you say they are just illusions?"

"Illusions? Look around. Everything is real. I have brainwashed you into believing you were a magic caster. Try to cast any spell now."

Kain looked around and could not see his Ice Gargoyles anymore. Kain casted [Conjure Skeleton Warrior] but nothing happened. "Whats going on?"

"I love to travel to Toria Continents and mess with the humans over here. They are so stupid. Haha"

"Alright, I had my fun. Go ahead and kill yourself to end your pathetic misery instead of standing there like a dumb ass." Tykan advised Kain.

In anger, Kain launched at Tykan with his sword. Tykan grabbed the sword from Kain's hand and punched him once in the stomach. Kain could feel his bones crack as he flew toward the corner of the house from the power of Tykans punch.

Tykan threw the sword back to Kain and said, "I am a Watcher. My power can destroy a hundred thousand Saint-tier Blood Mages in the flip of a hand. Your useless sword skill won't be able to scratch me at all. End your pathetic life, stupid human!"

Kain cried thinking about how stupid he was. He killed his daughter, son, wife, mother, and father because he believed in the nonsense this Watcher said. Kain took the sword and put it up to his neck.

"Yes, do it. Cut your throat. End your pathetic life, little worm." Tykan said in a cheerful tone.

Kain was about to do it but then he stopped. Kain put the sword down, stood up, and said, "This is not real. You are not real. Even if you are real, you are not a Watcher. Watchers can't enter the realm that they dont control. The Creator would have destroyed any Watcher that dared to break that rule. Everyone knows about that."

Okay, you got me. I am not a Watcher. I have tricked you to kill your family. What are you going to do about it besides ending your life?

Kain launched again at Tykan with his sword. Like last time, Tykan grabbed Kains sword and punched him in the stomach. This time, Tykan's punch was so strong that it made Kain fly outside of the house. Kain felt like all bones in his body were broken after receiving that punch. Tykan threw Kains sword back at him and said, Im being generous by giving you a chance to end your life instead of getting killed. Dont you understand that? You cant defeat me, little worm. Even if you can, so what? Will you stay alive knowing you have killed your entire family? Will the Law Enforcers of this realm allow you to live or execute you for your crime? Stupid worm, stop wasting my time and just end your pathetic life already.

You f**ked with the wrong one, Tykan. You cant kill me or you wont continue pressuring me in to commit suicide. Kain stood up and flexed his muscle. He smiled and said, Just like I thought, everything here is just illusions as you claimed. My family, my pain, my injury, all of it are just illusions. I dont feel pain anymore.

Kain launched at Tykan with his sword again and this time Tykan punched Kain four times, creating tremendous pain feeling all over Kains body. Kain stood up again and flexed his muscle. Your trick wont work anymore since I know this is not real. Tykan, Im gonna keep attacking you until my sword is thrust deep into your skull.

Kain kept his fighting spirit up regardless of how many times Tykan punched him. Suddenly Kain felt like there was water dropped on his face. Kain woke up and saw he was laying in the woods. It was the same location where he was knocked out by the black figure. Some genius bird just dropped its miracle poops on Kains face that woke him up from a very bad dream.

"A dream? Yes, it was just a dream." Kain thought to himself. Kain noticed there was a letter placed on his stomach. Kain opened the letter and read it, the letter was written as Kain, you have succeeded. Congratulations. Etgar.

I have succeeded. succeeded in what? Kain asked himself. Kain checked his face, torso, arms, legs and everything appeared to be the same. Kain raised both of his hands up then activated his Twin Soul and saw in his left hand was a big dark red energy ball flying. Two energy balls were flying on his right hand, grey color and orange color. The orange color indicates it's a Free Soul and Kain can select any Elemental Soul he wants to set it to.

Kain angrily whispered to himself, Damn you, Guild Master. You did not respect my decision after all.

After several seconds, Kain smiled in relief knowing the Tykan Eye had successfully duplicated his Twin Soul. Kain thought to himself, It would be really f**ked up if I failed and lost the chance of advancing into Legend-tier in the future. Kain sat down and meditated in order to choose an Elemental Soul for the Free Soul that he has. After several minutes of thinking, Kain decided to turn his Free Soul into a Demonic Soul.

Kain thought to himself, Besides Conjuration Magic, I have always been interested in learning Black Magic. My physical strength is already on par with a seventh-tier warrior. If I transform myself into a big Flesh Demon using [Abyssal Flesh] combined with [Demon Anatomy II], then will it boost my physical strength to Saint-tier warrior? I cant wait to try it out.
