The academicians exchanged excited glances and turned their attention to Gu Yang.
Academician Lin managed a strained smile, his usually stern face softened but still somewhat intimidating. He addressed Xiao Yize, “Yize, I heard from your grandfather that you found your sister. This is her, correct?”
Even Xiao Yize was taken aback by Academician Lin’s smile. “Grandpa Lin, please don’t smile like that. My sister is a bit scared.”
Gu Yang thought, “I’m not scared, don’t exaggerate.”
Academician Lin looked at Gu Yang with a mix of tension and joy. He could hardly contain his excitement. “This is the first time we’ve discovered a living SSS-class Mutant, and a hypnotist at that. We’ve never had any experimental data on an SSS-class hypnotist before.”

Gu Yang looked puzzled. Was she being treated as an experimental subject?

Academician Lin, still eager, urged, “Then what are we waiting for? We need to start the admission procedures immediately!”
Xiao Yize was keen to proceed, but he knew Gu Jin wasn’t comfortable with the idea of being restricted by the department. He said tactfully, “My sister and girlfriend are top students at Hua University’s Physics Department. They scored full marks on the College Entrance Examination last year.”
“They’re committed to their studies and contributing to the country like you all, so they may not want to join the Mutant Department.”
