Chapter 252 - 252 Ouyang Feifei’s Proposal

Chapter 252: Chapter 252 Ouyang Feifei’s Proposal

Ouyang Feifei didn’t answer immediately but picked up the tea cup in front of her and gently sipped it before speaking softly, “Li Haiyang and Dragon Rise’s help.”

Luo Ziling, who had never thought of seeking help from Li Haiyang or Dragon Rise, lit up upon hearing Ouyang Feifei’s words, his previously furrowed brows smoothing out. However, he didn’t know how to respond to Ouyang Feifei.

“Li Haiyang was personally promoted by your maternal grandfather and, it is said, had a connection with your grandfather back in the day. Now that you’re treating him, he should be willing to lend you a hand. With the backing of Dragon Rise and the protection of Li Haiyang, the Yang Family would definitely have reservations about moving against you,” seeing Luo Ziling’s complicated expression, Ouyang Feifei continued, “It would be best for you to ask them for an identity, an identity with Dragon Rise. You could be on their staff in an unofficial capacity, which is entirely possible. With that status, things wouldn’t be so troublesome.”

“Thank you for the suggestion; I’ll consider it,” Luo Ziling was truly grateful that Ouyang Feifei had given so much thought and done so much for him.

After he broke off their engagement, Ouyang Feifei didn’t hold anything against him; instead, she had helped him on multiple occasions. Although some issues were caused by Ouyang Huihui, Ouyang Feifei’s actions weren’t poor, and her behavior made Luo Ziling feel quite ashamed.

“Actually, I’m very curious how you got along with Yang Qingyin,” Ouyang Feifei, despite her proud and indifferent nature, still felt incredibly curious about how things turned out between Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin after finding out they had gotten together.

When she had first talked to Ouyang Huihui about Yang Qingyin, she was afraid that Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin would spark a connection, since both were outstanding individuals. Little did she expect that her words would turn prophetic, and within just a few days, Luo Ziling had gotten involved with Yang Qingyin.

Even though Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin were very discreet about their dating and outings, Ouyang Feifei still managed to learn about it through her connections.

During this time, she had been keeping tabs on Luo Ziling’s movements.

The reason for her attention was not only Ling Ruonan’s request but also Ouyang Feifei’s personal intentions.

Unwilling to accept being cast aside after the broken engagement, she had wanted to purposely get close to him, to fully display her charm and make Luo Ziling fall for her.

Once Luo Ziling fell for her, she certainly would respond in kind; she wanted Luo Ziling to taste what it felt like to be despised and abandoned.

However, she hadn’t expected that before her plan could even start showing results, she found out that Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin had become involved with each other.

After learning of this, Ouyang Feifei was deeply hurt and filled with resentment towards Luo Ziling.

But she was not willing to admit defeat just yet.

Yang Qingyin and she were renowned as the “Yanjing Beauties,” considered the number one beauties in many people’s eyes.

Although Ouyang Feifei was indifferent to the title of “Yanjing’s Number One Beauty,” she was dissatisfied with Yang Qingyin just as Yang Qingyin was with her.

Being jilted by Luo Ziling had already tarnished Ouyang Feifei’s reputation; now that Luo Ziling was involved with Yang Qingyin, it only deepened her sense of failure. She also wanted to know how Luo Ziling ended up getting together with Yang Qingyin, so she broke from her usual behavior and took the initiative to inquire about it.

“It was a coincidence that we met, and we just hung out a few times, that’s all,” Luo Ziling said dismissively.

Ouyang Feifei felt even more frustrated but merely asked Luo Ziling softly, “Do you know the current situation with the Yang Family?”

“I know,” Luo Ziling nodded, “That high-profile individual often seen on TV, Yang Yuanshan, is her grandfather, and her father is the administrative head of Yanjing.”

“Then you should also be fully aware of the situation with your mother’s side, the Ling Family, right?”

Luo Ziling nodded slightly.

“The Ling and Yang families have political statuses far beyond our Ouyang Family,” Ouyang Feifei said with a hint of sourness, and then asked again, “Have you already considered how to deal with the Yang Family members finding out about this?”

“No,” Luo Ziling shook his head, thought for a moment, and then added, “They have already found out, just today.”

Ouyang Feifei’s heart skipped a beat with Luo Ziling’s words; she now understood why his mood was so low today.

“So, what are you planning to do?” Ouyang Feifei still asked softly.

“I don’t know, I’ve never thought about this issue.”

“Have you really fallen in love with Yang Qingyin?” This question blurted out from Ouyang Feifei.

Luo Ziling was stunned for a moment, not knowing how to answer Ouyang Feifei’s question.

Though there had been many intimate gestures between him and Yang Qingyin, and Luo Ziling had even given her his first kiss, they had never talked about anything related to feelings; everything happened naturally.

He had never professed his affection for Yang Qingyin, and she had never said anything similar, but their intimate actions spoke volumes.

Without verbal expression, Luo Ziling did not dare to tell others that he was in a relationship with Yang Qingyin.

Others asked him, and he didn’t know how to answer; Ouyang Feifei asked him, and he was even more uncertain how to respond.

Luo Ziling’s silence made Ouyang Feifei feel a bit bitter inside.

She felt like a loser—at least that’s what Luo Ziling made her feel like—so she was full of a sense of defeat.

“During the National Day holiday, do you also have a break?” Luo Ziling awkwardly changed the topic, “You don’t need to go to the company these days?”

“If there is business to handle, I still need to take care of it,” Ouyang Feifei replied with no unusual expression on her face, maintaining her calm demeanor as she answered Luo Ziling, “If I’m free, come join me for a meal at my grandfather’s place. Perhaps, he can give you some advice on some matters.”

After thinking it over, Luo Ziling eventually did not refuse Ouyang Feifei’s kind gesture, “Alright then, I’ll visit Sir Ouyang someday, please arrange it for me.”

After thinking for a moment, Ouyang Feifei spoke again softly, “How about tomorrow? If possible, you can also treat me tomorrow. The last treatment felt very effective, and I’d like to continue with the therapy.”

“No problem,” Luo Ziling readily agreed.

Ouyang Feifei didn’t know what to say all of a sudden, nor did Luo Ziling know what to say to her. Silence fell upon them again, a rather uncomfortable awkwardness spreading through the living room.

After about a few minutes of silence, Ouyang Feifei spoke up softly again, “Actually, the favor I asked of you last time, you could reconsider it. If so, the Yang Family would think twice before moving against you. Although the Ouyang Family may not have the political status of the other two families, we are stronger economically. If many people knew you were my fiancé, they would think twice.”

Luo Ziling was taken aback by Ouyang Feifei’s frankness.
