Chapter 33: Familiar Morning

All Divine Realm Light was pure white, with some being brighter than the others.
This ray of Divine Realm Light was also mostly pure white and was incredibly blinding. However, within its pure white color were faint flecks of red, gold, and gray.
It was a little out of the ordinary.
There was a long passage in the meditation textbook that introduced Divine Realm Light, but there had been no records of a ray of Divine Realm Light like this one.
This ray of light was very thin, so thin that it could barely fit one person.
Countless thoughts emerged in Su Ye’s mind.
Why were there no records of this Divine Realm Light in the book? Are there any problems with this Divine Realm Light? Are there lights that are even better than this…
Su Ye once again recalled the information in the textbook and the contents of Teacher Niedern’s lesson. He finally ascertained that even if this ray of Divine Realm Light was not the best, it was at least one of the better ones.
“I forgot how long I’ve been flying in here. This place is massive. I might not be able to encounter this light next time. I can’t miss this opportunity.”
Su Ye deliberated once again for a good amount of time, then decisively charged into the light.
“Ahh…” Su Ye suddenly let out a shout.
It was an indescribable feeling.
At this moment, the feeling of mental euphoria was so intense that Su Ye even thought that he might be ascending to become a Deity.
Right now, Su Ye wanted to toss everything aside. Legendary Mage, Deity, he would give up on all of that. All he wanted to do was lay down in this ray of light.
Every cell in Su Ye’s body cheered. Every strand of hair on his body sang.
Sometime later, Su Ye felt a slight sting. He immediately remembered the information in the book. This was an indication that he had reached the limits of absorbing the Divine Realm Light. If he continued, he would be completely assimilated into the Divine Realm Light and have his soul dissolved.
Su Ye fought back the immense euphoria in a hurry. He imagined himself leaving the Barrier of the Two Worlds and returning to the city of Athens, to his bedroom.
“Sigh…”
Su Ye exhaled deeply. He slowly opened his eyes and froze in his seat.
“Was that the power of the Divine Realm? That was unbelievable… Oh?”
Su Ye suddenly turned his head and looked outside the door.
Why was it so bright?
Su Ye suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.
This seemed to have happened yesterday?
Su Ye charged out the door and looked at the time on his spellbook.
An interactive picture of the Plato Academy appeared in his spellbook, and it displayed the clock of the Plato Main Hall.
“I’m late again…”
Su Ye did not know whether to laugh or to cry. He did not expect to meditate through the night. He never had such an experience before.
Left without a choice, Su Ye grabbed his spellbook and ran out.
A familiar morning, familiar streets, and familiar people.
Figo, who was holding a piece of bread, froze where he stood. He blinked his eyes and looked at Su Ye charging toward him. He was dazed. He felt as though he had seen this scene before. He then suddenly felt a gust of wind blow past his body.
He blinked again. The bread in his hands was gone.
“Su Ye!” Figo shouted toward Su Ye, who had already run a good distance away.
“I will tear out the area you bit, kind Uncle Figo!” Su Ye continued running without turning his head.
Figo let out a frustrated smile, then froze suddenly.
“Su Ye’s aura today feels a little different. I’ll look at him closely the next time we meet… I’ll leave the house after finishing my bread next time.”
Figo returned home in frustration.
Su Ye felt that something was off as he ran.
“I was a little tired when I reached this area yesterday, but not only do I not feel tired today, but the discomfort in my feet has also decreased. Could it be that I’m about to advance to a Mage Apprentice?”
Su Ye let out a look of immense joy, then suppressed his surprise.
“I can’t be arrogant, I can’t be arrogant…”
Su Ye smiled all the way to the Plato Academy. He stole a glance at the Sea Demon Fountain but did not wash up there. He charged straight toward the classroom.
Su Ye once again saw the strange teen playing with ants. This time, the teen did not obstruct the ants, so Su Ye did not pay too much attention to him.
Su Ye once again arrived at the door of the classroom, bringing with him the scent of mud and greenery. However, this time, he was not panting.
The students in the classroom could not help but laugh. Hutton, who had been fiercely beaten yesterday, laughed the loudest and revealed a strange expression.
Teacher Niedern slowly turned his head and looked at Su Ye.
Su Ye could clearly sense the warmth leave Teacher Niedern’s eyes.
Su Ye once again bowed at a right angle and said loudly, “Teacher, I’m sorry. I am late because I studied too much. I have no excuse.”
Niedern originally had an ice-cold expression, but a streak of warmth returned to his false left eye after he observed Su Ye closely.
“Two years.”
The class erupted with laughter.
“I accept the punishment,” Su Ye answered happily.
In the eyes of most students, Su Ye seemed like someone impervious to punishment.
The students who had been sympathetic to Su Ye yesterday shook their heads gently, their hearts filling with disappointment. Some of them even wished for Su Ye to be beaten up by Hutton.
However, Palos looked at Su Ye with immense shock. She only regained her usual icy demeanor a while later.
“Is this the power of the Plato Academy? Just a mere third-to-last can advance to the level of Mage Apprentice in just their second year. He would be considered a bit of a genius if he were at the Noble Academy. But he’ll only get bullied here! I have to work harder!”
The blue-eyed lady once again clenched her little fists.
“Return to your seat.” Niedern raised his spellbook and sent out a magic message.
Su Ye happily returned to his seat. He had wanted to be punished for a few more years, but he did not expect his wish to come true.
“Should I be late again tomorrow? Forget it, I’ll give Teacher Niedern a break.”
Hort whispered, “What happened to you? Are you giving up on your studies?”
Su Ye froze and looked at Hort in shock, only to see his worried expression.
Su Ye smiled and whispered back, “You misunderstand me. I spent yesterday practicing my meditation and successfully found the light that belongs to me. I now feel full of energy. It might not be long before I become a Mage Apprentice!”
Hort was extremely excited. He opened his mouth and nearly shouted out loud. Instead, he closed his mouth in a hurry and took out his spellbook to send Su Ye a magic message.
“Really? I am so happy.”
“It’s actually nothing much.”
The two of them started to chat through their magic messages.
Palos, who was by the side, surveyed Su Ye and thought in her heart, “He has already reached the level of Mage Apprentice but is hiding his ability. I did not expect him to be this humble. Are all the students in the Plato Academy monsters?”
Su Ye was happily chatting when he suddenly felt an icy gaze coming from the stage. He immediately stopped chatting and started to take the lesson seriously.
The first lesson was on the most important subject—Fundamental Magic.
According to Su Ye’s originally perfect plan, he would have scanned through the book before he slept and quickly read through the book in the morning before class. Studying would be much more effective that way.
However, he had now lost his two chances of preparation. Su Ye was a little worried, but his worries eased as he listened on during the lesson.
Su Ye realized that his “punishment” was effective. He had already revised the material once when he was listening to the teacher narrate the lesson and another time when he wrote the material down on the blackboard. That counted as two short sessions of preparation. Thus, the effectiveness of this class was rather good even though he had not prepared for the class at home.
Furthermore, Su Ye had the faint sense that his mental energy and memory had been boosted since yesterday. He was much more enthusiastic in his studies.
Time passed by quickly as he concentrated on the lesson.
