Chapter 199 Finally home

Chapter 199 Finally home

When his arm circled around her waist, Lexi immediately turned vigilant. Alas, right after a second, just when she as about to turn and back away from the man behind her, Ethan Lu's familiar citrusy scent with an aquatic vibe tickled her nose.

Only Ethan Lu could smell so refreshing like this to her hence, she stopped and let him embraced her from behind. He then rested his chin on her shoulder saying in a low note, "Here…"

"... finally home." He added.

Upon hearing his last remarks, Lexi chuckled as she tilted her head back and leaned it to the side of his head that was on her shoulder. Just when she opened her mouth, Lexi abruptly closed it upon hearing a harsh noise of clothes shaking off in the air and the next moment, Lexi's front was covered by a blazer suit.

"My home's windows and doors were all open— must cover it." Unlike his gentle voice earlier, Ethan Lu's face had this distress expression plastered across his face. God knows how shocked he was as he got a closer look at Lexi's fine figure and how she confidently carried her dress.

Ethan Lu almost fainted even before he could reach her standpoint. Fortunately, his determination to hide the drool-worthy figure of hers triumph in the end.

In the past, Ethan Lu would not mind gracing his eyes looking at other girls who would wear much shorter, revealing clothes because it was normal for women to flaunt their money maintaining such flawlessness. However, now that he had a woman whom he loved dearly— Ethan Lu could not share this eye candy for others to admire— only him should and could adore every detail of her beauty and body.

"Gosh…" Lexi heartily chuckled at his overprotectiveness just wearing such clothes. Also, how he referred to her as his home and how he uttered his displeasure towards her attire relating in a way as if she was a house. nevertheless, Lexi found his rare possessiveness rather cute. After all, Ethan Lu never forbid her on her choice of clothing.

"Love, I was kidding when I said to be confident with your body." Still had his eyes mildly dilated and a slightly pale complexion, Ethan Lu profusely shook his head.

In his mind, Lexi had been partying since earlier, then that only meant that tons of eyes had glued their gazes on her— unacceptable! Although Lexi sent him photos earlier, Ethan Lu overlooked her seductive attire as he was struggling internally after knowing Morris Liu's side of the story. But now, he was utterly flabbergasted upon a closer look at her.

"Hahaha!" This time, Lexi could no longer suppress her laughter as she slowly turned around to see the horrified expression on his dashing yet exhausted profile. Slightly thrusting her chin upward, Lexi raised her brows as a mischievous grin formed on the side of her lips.

"What's with your face? Don't tell me you don't like it?"

Ethan Lu glanced down at Lexi with his whole body unable to move. She coquettishly looked at him as if she was taunting him. Didn't they talk about it the other day? He had already made it clear to her that he had his limits yet, here she was again, seducing him with her overly... oh god, he didn't even want to look at it again as he was afraid that he'd lose control.

"Uh… I love it, but that means everyone liked it as well— where is Elliot?" Frowning, Ethan Lu let out a heavy sigh as he envisioned all the stares and wild imagination Lexi triggered. Therefore, aside from Lexi, Ethan Lu asked for Elliot Gong's whereabouts.

"Eli had been acting weird, you have anything to do with it?" Arching her brows, Lexi finally had the strong conviction that it was Ethan Lu's doing why he was akin to a protective father.

"Hmm? Is he?" Ethan Lu could finally regain his mobility as he fixed his blazer suit on her shoulders. Raising his gaze to meet her pair of pretty nut-brown eyes, Ethan Lu briefly brought up his brows as if he didn't have any clue on what she was referring to.

"Tss, whatever. Let me go back inside to say goodbye to everyone." Still grinning, Lexi slightly shook her head as she didn't press on the matter anymore. Slightly pushing him away, Lexi slowly turned her back on him but, sensing that Ethan Lu was about to follow her, Lexi raised her hand with her index finger erecting, gesturing him to stop or stay still.

"I'll be back, wait for me okay?" With that said note, Lexi grinned for the last time in satisfaction seeing that he obeyed. She then went back inside the establishment with his blazer suit with her.

Ethan Lu furrowed his brows in confusion as he watched her return inside the establishment. Slipping his hand in his pocket, he heavily sighed.

"What should I do?" He murmured as the thought of Morris Liu flashed across his mind again. Although the sight of Lexi distracted him for a moment, Ethan Lu was still struggling inside him if he should tell her about it or should just keep it to himself for a while.

"Hmm?" Tilting her head to the side, Churu's forehead creased as she scrutinized the glint of pained emotion in his eyes. "Mr. Main Task, why are you crying?" Although there were no tears flowing down on his eyes, Churu sensed that his heart was hurt to the point of screaming internally.

"Damn brother Mo… what a selfish bastard." Running his fingers through his hair, Ethan Lu muttered as he turned to get and ready his ride. He didn't want to think about it anymore as he shrugged the matter on the back of his mind for now. Maybe, when his stomach was full, he could think properly.

"What? Mr. Main Task, what did that Morris told you?!" Slightly panicking, Churu bellowed on his side but to no avail, Ethan Lu could not hear her demands for an answer.

"That guy! That iceberg trying to get in the way again! I'll teach him a lesson!" Slowly showing her small muscle, Churu took off her red lace gloves as if she was going to an all-out war. Without asking for Lexi's permission, the little dumpling then disappeared without a trace.
