The Moon Thief

Chapter 96: Critical Concealment

Chapter 96: Critical Concealment

"It's good that everyone is here!"

There was a sound that made the hearts of everyone there tremble. The power contained in this voice made even the Level 2 Ainsars there feel under pressure.

The owner of this voice was Eneel, a Level 3 Ainsar.

"Master!" All the Pavants there, especially Janeroth, knelt down and the mighty existence before them. Tisha and Arlies also knelt in shock.

This Level 3 Ainsar who suddenly appeared and spoke the Ainsar Language made them wonder what they had been through. However, they also realized that he was the traitor who betrayed the academy.

"What's going on!?" Tisha cried out inside. While she was thinking that everything was going well, she suddenly found herself in a game where she was used as a pawn. In her opinion, if this person really was Eneel Alsen, it meant that they would n't get anything but death.

Likewise, Arlies realized the tricks they were getting into, and she turned his cold gaze directly on Janeroth, but he did n't dare to keep that gaze on him for long.

"I am grateful to you for helping me destroy my enemies." Eneel sneered at Tisha and Arlies, then continued, "When I destroy this poor formation, everyone will attack and kill everyone they see."

Eneel raised his hands.

Storm clouds containing intense elemental energy began to appear in the sky. The sky was illuminated as lightning danced with the clouds.

Heinald watched the sky in horror.

Fierce surges of Magic Energy emanating from Eneel had caused some weak-willed magic users there to faint.

A deafening thunder was heard, and hundreds of lightning bolts emanating simultaneously from the storm clouds came together in one point. It was so bright that no one could look directly into it.

The lightning bolts gathered together to form a ball of lightning several miles in diameter. The energy emanating from this ball of lightning was so terrifying that most people who witnessed this scene knew in their hearts that they would never encounter such a sight again.

"Don't tell me...!" Every cell of Heinald, who was watching the event in horror, started to give a danger alarm.

At that time, a lightning ray with incredible destructiveness shot out from the lightning ball that had appeared above the headquarters of the Deph Enerun organization.

*BUUM!* When the Lightning ray landed on the defense formation, terrifying waves of energy and shock were released.

Every second the incredibly powerful lightning ray landed on the formation, thousands of lightning bolts appeared and the entire environment was illuminated.

The resulting energy and shock waves caused all surrounding trees and plants to be uprooted.

Even though the defense formation blocked the lightning ray for about five seconds, it couldn't hold out any longer and shattered.

When the terrible explosions finally ceased, Heinald got up from the ground and began to look his surroundings.

Although they were hundreds of meters away from the headquarters, some trees in the wooded area where they were hiding could not withstand the strong shock waves and fell over.

After the terrible noise pollution caused by the explosions, the surrounding was covered with dead silence.

"RACHSA!"

At that moment, a shout was heard that made the earth and sky groan.

"These energy waves" Tisha's voice began to tremble.

An old man wearing a golden robes had appeared in front of Eneel. The waves of energy emanating from this man showed that he had a Level 3 Ainsar power.

At that time, a large number of Pavants were coming out of the headquarters.

"Kill them all!" At the behest of Janeroth all the pavants under his command went into action. Tisha and Arlies were thinking about what to do. They realized that they had been trapped, but everything had happened too quickly and they had no time to decide what to do.

Naturally, they didn't want to fight alongside Eneel. They wanted to just leave everything and run away, but they thought that there were some plans prepared for them by a Level 3 Ainsar who had managed to play with them like toys for a long time.

In the current situation, bad things could happen to them if they just retreated.

"It's too late to go back now." Tisha's expression darkened.

Thus, two Level 2 Ainsars attacked the headquarters along with the others.

At the time, Heinald was on the move with them, but was also thinking about how to keep himself out of this meaningless war.

Spells and shouts began to fly in the air.

The powerful spells that Janeroth, Tisha, and Arlies used in succession began to land on the Pavants emerging from within the headquarters. Chaos reigned over the entire area, and violent explosions sounded from everywhere. At the same time, how fierce the duel of the two Level 3 Ainsars, which took place further away from the headquarters, was evident from the energy waves that emerged.

In a short time, all of the Pavants who went outside the headquarters were killed. However, most of the people they were supposed to kill were still inside the headquarters.

When Heinald entered the headquarters with the others, he headed towards a corridor where no one was heading, and immediately concealed his energy. He then took out some of the Shadow Powder he had prepared earlier from the dimensional pocket of his robe and sprinkled it on him. He made sure that no one was being watched while he was doing this.

A few seconds after he disguised himself, a few Pavants rushed down the corridor he was in. Meanwhile, violent explosions were taking place all over the headquarters building. These explosions caused the building to shake as if it had been subjected to a non-stop earthquake.

"With the energy concealment technique given to me by Master Kunes, I can hide my energy even from a Level 2 Ainsar, but the Shadow Powder I crafted can only hide me from a Level 1 Ainsar." Heinald muttered.

There were many corridors inside the headquarters building, and as everyone expected, the main part of the headquarters was underground rooms and sections. He had continued to move ahead without stopping, but had move to the non-conflict areas of the headquarters.

Unfortunately, the area he could escape from was getting smaller and smaller, as energy waves were rising from everywhere as a result of conflicts.

Heinald had gone through many corridors and stairs and had gone quite deep. A long hallway he followed eventually led to a large, platinum door that looked pretty solid. There was no longer a corridor to go any further.

This platinum gate was protected by some kind of barrier.

At that time, he began to hear footsteps and conversations coming from the beginning of the tunnel.

"Damn it!" Heinald's eyes narrowed.

A young man was walking briskly with an old man beside him.

"Young Master, please listen to me! If your grandfather heard that you were not fighting, he would give you a great punishment!" The old man seemed to be trying to persuade the young man walking ahead.

"Shut up! Whoever attacked here managed to destroy the formation. I won't risk my life by showing up. Now get out of here!" The young man turned around and shook his hand sharply.

"As you wish" The old man gave up with a sigh and quickly turned back the way he had come.

Thereupon, the young man quickly headed for the platinum door.

"He didn't notice me!" Heinald let out a sigh of relief. He could feel the waves of spiritual energy emanating from this young man.

These energy waves were the same energy waves that a Level 1 Ainsar had.

When the young man came to the platinum door, he took a jade necklace from under his shirt and lifted it up slightly. A few beams of light shot out from the pendant and interacted with the barrier. After a few seconds, the beams of light disappeared along with the barrier surrounding the door. The large, platinum door opened wide.

Seeing this scene, Heinald's eyes radiated a strange glow.

He gathered all his physical strength at his feet and shot like an arrow at the entering young man. While he was still in the air, Embers appeared in his hand with only one thought.

The young man stopped, feeling the danger suddenly rising in the depths of his soul, and tried to turn around. However, it was too late, an extremely sharp sword stabbed into the back of his neck.

"Puahh!" The young man coughed up a large amount of blood, and the vitality in his eyes completely disappeared. After he fell to his knees, he fell to the ground and did not move again, a pool of blood began to form where he lay.

Heinald immediately began searching for this young man. At that moment, a jade necklace caught his eye. He immediately picked it up and began to examine it, soon discovering that this jade necklace was controlling the defensive formation in the room.
