Chapter 39
Settling a Score
This Kong Shuo guy was being pursued by Xi Shu. Anyone who could catch her eye was definitely not a good person.
In this school, the only person who could compare to him in terms of looks was Kong Shuo. Xi Ze hated the feeling of being compared to him.
On his side, Kong Shuo’s face was expressionless, but he was actually inwardly cursing. He had never thought that Xi Ze and Xi Wan would be siblings.
He knew Xi Ze was a hooligan in school, but always got good grades. Now that he took a closer look, Kong Shuo felt that it wasn’t impossible for Xi Ze and Xi Wan to be brother and sister; both of them were extremely good-looking.
He suddenly realized something: if Xi Ze and Xi Wan were siblings, then Xi Ze was likely also siblings with Xi Shu, but the two of them had almost never interacted before.
Xi Wan was a little princess in school, but Xi Ze was different.
Kong Shuo couldn’t help but feel a little lost and confused. Were these really the young masters and mistresses of the rich? He just couldn’t understand.
“Xi Ze, weren’t your parents called? How can you still move freely?” The moment Xi Wan spoke, everyone’s eyes were focused on her.
It was only then when he heard her voice that Xi Ze realized it was Xi Wan. Surprise was evident in his eyes. “Why are you the one here?”
Xi Wan took off her sunglasses. “I didn’t want to come either, but your school director called me. I happened to be free now, so I decided to come over.”
Then, she looked Xi Ze up and down, frowning. “Why are you doing so badly? It’s even to the point where they had to call?your parents. Tell me what you did first.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong.” Xi Ze turned his face away. Forget Xi Kang—he didn’t want Xi Wan to come either. Maybe even moreso than Xi Kang. He’d always felt that Xi Wan was a little too obedient. For the sake of her business, she would even sell her own marriage.
Xi Ze felt that they were not from the same world when he saw Xi Wan’s lack of resistance.
Looking at Xi Ze’s proud and awkward expression, Xi Wan was fired up. Was this little brat still angry at her here?
She raised her eyes slightly and glanced at the few people standing beside Xi Ze. “Are you all his friends? ”
For some reason, when Xi Wan stared at them like that, the six of them felt a wave of pressure sweep over them.
One of the girls was the first to react. Her face was full of surprise as she said, “Oh my god, you’re Xi Wan, right? That female celebrity who left the industry?”
Xi Wan nodded and put on a professional smile. “Yes. Are you my fan?”
The girl was a little excited. “Yes, I am! You’re so good-looking! I’m Lin Lu. You want to know about Xi Ze, right? I’ll tell you.”
As she spoke, Lin Lu leaned closer to Xi Wan and quietly told her what had happened. By the time Xi Ze tried to stop her, it was already too late.
After listening to the entire story, Xi Wan looked at Xi Ze with a meaningful gaze. Then, she pulled away. “Let’s go and find your director!”
Xi Ze was a little dazed at her aggressive look. If he remembered correctly, the school director was the one who wanted to settle scores with his parents. Why did Xi Wan’s attitude make it feel like she was the one who wanted to settle a score with the director?
Xi Wan walked with an imposing manner while Kong Shuo led the way. The group of handsome men and beautiful women quickly attracted the attention of the students in the school.
“Oh wow, who is this? She looks so beautiful!”
“Why does she remind me of a certain celebrity?”
“Forget it. If a celebrity were to come to our school, countless fans would have followed along.”
The people around them discussed her presence, but it did not affect Xi Wan’s mood at all.
Just as they arrived at the director’s office, they could hear Xi Shu’s voice coming from the half-opened office door.
“Director, I’m sorry. Xi Ze is my younger brother. I didn’t educate him well. I’ll bring him here to apologize to you now. I hope you won’t be angry anymore. He’s used to being arrogant, but I didn’t expect him to be so unreasonable in school.”
Xi Ze was furious when he heard this. He kicked the door open. “Xi Shu, you’re really good at pretending to be a good person, huh?. I don’t need you to ‘educate’ me. You’re not worthy!”
