Systemless in a Parallel World

Chapter 198 Liberation War - Demon (4)

The entire battlefield was a chaotic scene of death and destruction.

The air was heavy, filled with unstable soul particles that were wreaking havoc, and the smell of smoke, blood, and sweat, while the ground was littered with the bodies of fallen Demons and eliminated Normies.

In the distance, the sound of clashing metal and battle cries echoed across the Demon territory.

In the center of the battlefield, Zayn and the Demon King faced each other, the remnants of their armies clashing around them.

Zayn was still in the sevenfold Spirit Fusion, while the Demon King had lost one of his arms. Zayn's body was on the verge of bursting apart due to the high toll that weighed down on his body. Even a twofold Spirit Fusion was dangerous, but Zayn increased his strength by undergoing a temporary sevenfold Spirit Fusion. It was already a miracle that he was still standing.

But that was not everything. Zayn was not only standing firmly on the ground after transforming due to the sevenfold Spirit Fusion. He moved around, used the power of every single one of the seven Spirits he fused with an unleashed power that ought to be impossible for him to handle.

However, that was exactly what Zayn did. He could handle the power, even if it were just barely.

He killed the Infernal Demons, manifested their Spirits, and threw them at the Demon King's Armies. The more time passed the more Demon Spirits manifested out of nowhere.

The entire sky was filled with Soul Wisps and a single grasp was more than enough to extract their Soul Essence and manifest their Spirits using the ownerless soul particles in the surroundings.

The Demon King and Zayn charged at each other. Their blades clashed and it didn't take long before they were locked in a deadly dance of blades. Both sides were trying to gain the upper hand, but neither of them seemed to be able to make the final strike.

Zayn was busy multitasking, fighting, and manifesting Spirits. His Spirit Army expanded while his battle with the Demon King continued.

Their clash sends sparks flying in all directions, the power that erupted around them destroyed the ground, creating several huge craters while the sound of metal on metal reverberates through the entire battlefield.

Their faces were contorted with rage and determination as they tried to overpower each other. They moved with lightning speed, each feinting and parrying, trying to find an opening to deliver the final blow. The ground around them was torn up by the tremendous strength that spread through their feet as they darted and weaved across the battlefield.

As the battle raged on, Zayn and the Demon King continued to fight, their blades bathed in the last rays of the sun

They had fought for three days and two nights, and the third night was approaching fast.

Both were skilled warriors with high combat experience and exceptional talent. They were well-trained and clearly the cream of the crop. However, both slowly grew more tired. After fighting three days and two nights without a significant break it was only obvious that they would be tired out.

Nonetheless, Zayn was still full of energy. He may be tired, but his stamina replenished faster than the Demon King as well. Why? Zayn constantly replenished his used-up energy using high-quality Soul Orbs!

By keeping his energy at the highest possible level, Zayn allowed his body to replenish his stamina much faster. After all, the energy in his body enhanced his physical capabilities. Abusing this system was easy and extremely useful.

Zayn's movements were still fluid and precise, and the Demon King had to break his limit to continue fighting Zayn. Most of his army had already been killed, and it was clear that his territory was doomed to be obliterated. His death would only seal the inevitable.

Never in his life would the Demon King have expected that he might end like this. His rise to the top of the Demon World several hundred years ago was fated to end just like that, fighting against an Army of Spirits, and a young Spiritmancer, who didn't seem to have matured fully yet!

It was humiliating, but the Demon King was not capable of changing his fate. He was bound to die today, that was as clear as the two sides of a coin. Their eyes fixed on each other, both sides knew what was about to happen.

The tension was palpable as Zayn and the Demon King circled each other. The corners of Zayn's mouth curled upward while the Demon King tensed up. Suddenly, the Demon King made a grave mistake. He forgot that Zayn controlled the surrounding area with his soul particles.

Pillars of searing flames shot out of the ground like lava. The flames engulfed the Demon King. He screamed out in pain while trying to escape the pillar of flames. Zayn seized the opportunity without hesitation.

With lightning-fast speed, he accelerated and swung the Dragontale Twin Sabers at the Deon King's head, aiming to sever it from the rest of his body.

With a sickening thud, and the Demon King's grave mistake, Zayn's sabers connected with its target.

It was then.

Splash!

A huge fountain of blood spurted out of the Demon King's neck, and his head flung through the air.

The head rolled over the ground for a few meters before it finally came to a halt. The Demon King's eyes widened in shock, and his skin burned.

Realization slowly dawned upon the Demon King, who saw Zayn towering above his fallen opponent. Zayn tightly gripped the Dragontale Twin Sabers, his chest heaving up and down heavily.

At the same time, silence spread across the entire battlefield as the two armies paused to witness the outcome of the battle.

There were not many survivors left, but their roars were deafening as the Normies and Spirits surged forward, ready to claim victory.
