"All right guys, listen up," Luke raised his voice when the dark elves approached. "We are going to free this world from the clutches of the overlords. You guys have two options: follow us, or follow us after being beaten. What are you going to do?"

"You dare to mock us, weird creature?" One of the dark elves said.

"How am I weird? I just don't have pointy ears," Luke frowned.

"That isn't the time for that, Luke," Rina said. "I can't say that I like this plan of yours."

"You already know that they are a difficult bunch, do you want to work here forever?" Luke asked. "In Rome do as the Romans do."

            Rina realized that Luke had a point, and Shalia seemed like she was going to like how things would play out. As for Nambra, she wasn't thinking about anything. In any case, Luke stepped forward while looking imposing with his arms crossed. He will have to be a bit more persuasive to make those fellows listen to him and the dark elves only knew two languages: their usual one and the fighting language. Unlike Billy who had a polyglot and knew two idioms: English and Bad English.

"Let's solve this like those who have pride do, by fighting to see who is stronger," Luke said. "Solve what, exactly?" Rina asked.

"... Fight me and win and then I will become your servant and this army of skeletons will be yours," Luke said while ignoring Rina's question. "Lose and you will have to swear your undying loyalty to me."

"Ha! Fair enough!" One of the elves said. "We will fight one at a time."

              They had some sense of fairness, but Luke thought that things would take too long that way. There were hundreds of dark elves there, after all. Still, he couldn't back down now after that point. In the end, even though the levels of those guys were high, Luke didn't have a hard time dealing with them. In the first fight, he approached the first guy with a flying kick while the target was creating a massive fireball… As if Luke was going to get by a big attack when they were so close from each other. After that, Luke marked the place he landed with Checkpoint and then always made the targets get close to that place before the fights. Once that was done, he used the spell and then punched them in the gut, making them lose their lunch.

              It took two hours, but Luke managed to defeat 270 dark elves. After they woke up, they silently watched the next fights while showing upset expressions. Things were going too well for Luke's tastes… At the end, when the last dark elf was defeated. Several of them got up with determined expressions on their faces. They wanted to fight, but some fire pillars emerged from the ground and engulfed them before that could happen. On the elves' world, Luke took more of a supporting role, but Shalia was the one who wanted to do that for him while he follow the path to become a ruler of that world. he didn't like that much, but since it was something that Shalia had decided, Luke decided to do the things she wanted.

                While Luke didn't do anything, he still gained some experience and gold coins due to Shalia's actions. She wasn't a patient person, so that didn't surprise him. Still, it was a bit worrying that she did that without even blinking.

"Who else wants to go back on their word?" Shalia asked. "I hate liars more than anything…"

                Thanks to Shalia's persuasive skill, Luke began to see those notifications rain down in front of him. It was the same as Nambra's, so perhaps her loyalty was also recognized by the system. Thanks to that, Luke felt conflicted again since he didn't expect that such a thing would happen. Moreover, accepting them before Nambra seemed wrong, but as usual, she wasn't showing any emotion through her face.

"Thank you, master," Nambra said after bending her knee. "I will do my best to serve you well."

"No master and no servitude stuff," Luke said. "Wait a minute… Didn't Frank use this to get stronger? He forced the soldiers to become his followers, so he could obtain all of their coins and half of their experience."

                  Luke thought that it was due to some skill, but even so… For him to know that so early on. In any case, at the very least, he had some Illusory powers that made his soldiers become his followers. It would be weird if people were willing to sell their freedom so early after the monsters appeared.

              Regardless, Luke felt that he was slowly finding more pieces to complete that massive puzzle. Now he just needed to know why that cloaked figure came to earth and why Frank knew about them. That will probably take some time since Luke didn't hear anything like it, after all.

"Now this is more like it," Shalia said. "In any case, Luke, you can give them orders that they cannot disobey, but since they are smarter than monsters, they might be able to find a loophole in your orders. So, you should give them some powerful orders that they will have to follow if they try to screw with you."

"Like what?" Luke asked.

"Like they have to break their own arms several times in a row if they think about that, or like they need to eat a rock," Shalia said.
