Chapter 1186: Feng Ziying’s Anticipation

With the death of a high-level True Immortal from an Essence World, Shang Xia felt as though he was living in a dream.

Shang Xia thought to himself as he watched Wen Juxiang’s corpse scattered into the vast sea of stars.

Even though Shang Xia knew that Wen Juxiang had been heavily injured after he summoned the projection of the Crimson Soul Tablet, and his bout with the Star Origin Lord’s clone, resulting in Wen Juxiang being weakened by close to 70 percent, it didn’t matter.

During the battle, Shang Xia didn’t use the Crimson Soul Tablet, and neither did he drag the battle out. He didn’t attract too much attention and he finished off Wen Juxiang, the high-level True Immortal from the Essence Hong World, who had been giving him a massive headache.

With that, he could also determine that he became even stronger ever since he left the Essence Ping World.

The clone that attracted Wen Juxiang’s attention earlier approached Shang Xia and laughed, “The reason you’re able to produce so many clones like me is because of your powerful soul. Even though we can absorb energy to replenish our reserves, all of us require a strand of your divine soul in order to possess our own consciousness. Ordinary True Immortals won’t be able to do anything like what you did to create 3 different clones at once...”

When Shang Xia left the Spirit Luxuriant World, he left a clone back in the institution.

That was something he and Kou Chongxue had learned the hard way after their Tongyou Elysium was infiltrated back then.

No matter which one of them leaves, they would create a clone to watch over the institution. Even after the rank six grand formation around the institution was created, it might be a habit they would find difficult to get rid of.

Back when he was waiting for Wen Juxiang to appear, he also created another clone to enter Star Origin City to meet up with Feng Ziying. He didn’t retrieve the clone when he started fighting.

The clone chuckled again, “What do you plan to do next?”

Shang Xia couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the obvious question. “Do you even need to ask? Since I dealt with the hidden threat that is Wen Juxiang, I’m naturally going to enter secluded cultivation in the Spirit Luxuriant World.”

After he spoke, he tossed the Star Origin Lord Robe which had a massive tear on it at the clone.

Instead of wearing the robe, the clone absorbed the robe into its body, and it resulted in his aura gradually growing stronger. It didn’t take long for him to grow to the peak of the first tier of the Martial Void Realm, comparable to Huang Jinghan. He even showed signs of reaching the level of a second tier True Immortal.

That was one of the functions of the robe, and it wasn’t just effective on the clone. If Shang Xia’s true body wore it, the effects might be even more pronounced.

Even though Shang Xia’s clone wasn’t great at conversing, it was still alright for Feng Ziying to ask him questions about cultivation.

Feng Ziying took the chance to ask Shang Xia’s clone many questions about his experience in entering the grand completion stage of the Martial Dipper Realm and how he broke through to become a True Immortal.

Shang Xia clearly gave the clone that was talking to Feng Ziying a lot of authority as his clone didn’t conceal anything. Instead, it quickly clarified many doubts and questions regarding cultivation Feng Ziying had.

They didn’t know how long had passed, but the clone seemed to regain its conscious mind and become lively again.

Feng Ziying chuckled softly, “Did you finish things up there?”

Slightly taken aback, Shang Xia’s clone eventually smiled, “It went pretty smoothly, but I can’t stay here for long. I need to leave.”

Feng Ziying wasn’t surprised. After all, the aura of a True Immortal approaching the Star Origin Dao Field was discovered before it disappeared abruptly. The Star Origin Guards would definitely be alerted and if Shang Xia didn’t leave soon, the Star Origin Guards might be able to quickly discover he was a clone and might have something to do with it. Feng Ziying’s laughter stopped midway and he stared at Shang Xia in shock. He was only planning to encourage Shang Xia, but he didn’t think that Shang Xia would be able to surpass Kou Chongxue. At the very least, he didn’t think that it would happen so quickly.

Shang Xia might not be sure he was able to do it, but Feng Ziying managed to hear a trace of confidence.
