She Belongs To The Devil

Chapter 695 Some Time

Just as Niylah was able to hear the shenanigans of Ariel and Damien, Kenneth was also able to catch a few sentences and words here and there.

For example, he heard Ariel saying, 'Damien, you can't just teleport inside my room!' and Damien saying, 'This is going to be your real first kiss.'

That alone was enough for him to know what Damien tried to do with Ariel. Right after he had figured out Damien's intention, he had sprinted out of his room so that he could drag Damien's arse out of Ariel's room.

However, when he went outside, his ears caught Ariel's moans. Though Ariel was trying to resist the temptation at that time when he heard it, Kenneth also easily misunderstood those moans.

He felt heartbroken. Ariel was his first kiss. She had also said that he was her first. But right now, she was most probably becoming the first kiss for Damien as well.

He couldn't get angry at Ariel because she hadn't committed to him yet. So instead, he got so uncontrollably enraged at Damien for trying to steal Ariel from him that he couldn't stop his fangs and claws from manifesting.

His eyes became darker red in color. Even the whites of his eyes turned slightly red. His fangs itched like never before. And he got this urge to break into the room and bite Damien.

It took every muscle in his body to stop himself from doing so. And before he would do something that he would regret, he ran towards his original room.

He flung open the door to his room and immediately went to one of the corners to open a drawer.

That drawer was full of small and thin cylindrical vials. All the vials contained blood. And just like Damien's explosive containers, these vials were also enchanted to store the freshness of the blood.

Kenneth instantly picked up a vial and pulled out the plug. He gulped down the blood in one shot and smashed the vial on the floor. He waited for the fangs to revert back. However, the bloodlust wasn't going anywhere.

"Arghhhhh!" he screamed in frustration and then mumbled, "Damien! You just wait until the duel."

He then picked up another two vials and then emptied them as well. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths in. At last, his fangs turned back into normal-sized teeth and his claws also retracted.

Back in Ariel's room, Damien finally stopped kissing her.

Both of them were panting as if they just had an extremely challenging duel. They were covered in sweat even though the weather was starting to get chilly again.

Damien then pushed Ariel's hair back and gazed at her beautiful face. He wanted to frame the image of panting and blushing Ariel in his heart.

Ariel hadn't said anything to him yet, about how she was feeling at the moment or if she liked the kiss. And to be honest, he feared to hear anything from her thinking she would say that she liked Kenneth better.

So before she said anything, Damien kissed her on her cheek and then said longingly, "Ariel, I want you to love me and me only. I cannot imagine eternity without you."Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Ariel looked into his winter grey eyes and honestly said after mockingly laughing at herself, "Just a while ago I was so sure that I wanted Kenneth. But now… I am not so sure anymore."

When he heard that Ariel had already thought Kenneth to be the one for her, Damien was so glad that he teleported into Ariel's room right away. He was glad that Kenneth didn't permanently sway her heart.

Ariel looked away from Damien's eyes and thought for a few seconds. She kept on looking down and mumbled, "Give me some time to sort out my feelings first. And by 'some time'… I don't know how much time I will need."

She heaved a deep sigh and then resolutely looked back at Damien's face. "But I will try to figure it out sooner. I know I am hurting both of you by sitting on the fence."

Damien didn't blame her. He only blamed himself for being absent from Ariel's life for so long and allowing another man to try and make space in her life.

Damien gently caressed Ariel's swollen lips and then said with a smile, "You can take your time to think it through. But you already know that I would prefer it if you chose me. So I am going to keep on trying my best to keep you by my side."

He then cleared his throat and said, "I will go and prepare for the duel. I have a feeling that it's going to be wild."

Before Damien would disappear from the room, Ariel held his hand and asked him, "Please try to go easy on him. I don't think he can withstand your full power."

Damien smiled and nodded. "Don't worry. As much as I hate that hybrid for pursuing you, I don't hate him that much that I will end up breaking or killing him."

He chuckled and then added, "He is a gentleman if I overlook the fact that he irritates me every now and then."

Ariel gave a mirthless smile and slightly tilted her head. And she mouthed, "Thank you!"

Damien then disappeared from the room, leaving her alone and feeling giddy after those passionate kisses.

Ariel instantly sat down on the cold floor. Her knees were still shaking because of that thrilling experience.

She then hugged her knees and asked herself, "Why am I like this? Why can't I make a clear decision?"

Ariel rested her head on the wall and kept on sitting there for quite a while. And when she felt that she had regained control over her body, she got up and walked straight to the window.

She had so much in her mind that she felt the need to do something to clear her head. So she pushed the window open and looked down. The ground wasn't that far below.

Ariel then gave a tap on her heart to make herself invisible. And she instantly threw herself out of the window.

When she was about to hit the ground, she spread out her massive white wings and flapped them to fly towards the cloud- and fog-covered sky.

As she kept on soaring higher and higher, the air became colder and colder. However, she loved how the cold breeze hit her face and her wings.

Even though it was just for a few moments, her cluttered mind felt crystal clear. The only thing that was in her mind was the feeling of cold air caressing her, and the sound of the breeze mixed with the sound of a flock of birds that were flying a little further away from her.

She kept on flying higher until she reached the clouds. She spread her arms and moved around in the cloud.

She suddenly recalled riding on Arion with her mother and playing in the clouds. She smiled and whispered, "I never thought I would miss mom this much. And dad... I miss him too."

She then longingly sighed and thought, "I hope everything is okay back in Wyverndale."
