Chapter 268: The Difference Between Golden Core Stage and Foundation Establishment

"How confident." Wei Mu sneered. "I’m a body cultivator. Do you really still think that I can’t defeat these puny beasts?"

Body cultivator.

Listening to their conversation, Lin Xiao was a bit stunned. He looked at the others, hoping that they could provide him for some hint but it was clear that the others were also focusing their attention to those four.

"When you reach Golden Core Stage, you’ll have an option to become certain type of cultivators. Body Cultivator is just one of them and what you’re going to be will depend on what kind of cultivation you have so far." Prince Lin Yan looked at the four of them as his lips curled up to form a sneer.

"Body cultivator always thinks that they’re the strongest because they always rely on their strong physique and brute strength. Those who become body cultivator usually are cultivators who can’t master many technique and have lower intelligence. Of course, there are exception."

Lin Xiao: "..."

"How do I know what kind of cultivator I am?" Lin Xiao asked.

"You will know when you form your core." Prince Lin Yan refused to explain too much. It was the revelation that usually would help one to advance to Golden Core Stage from Foundation Establishment. Telling too much to Lin Xiao would not help the brat to reach one quickly.

Lin Xiao also understood that his brother would not answer, so he focused his attention back to the front.

"Tsk, as expected of body cultivator, you’re willingly spread out the name of your cultivation type." The woman snickered. "Anyway, I’m going ahead first."

"You!"

Swish!

There was not even any indication or movement before yet the wind around the woman’s move had brought her forward. Her steps looked so graceful like she was having a walk in the park yet it carried immense power.

Her hand stretched forward as countless blades suddenly formed and aimed towards the two beasts in front of her.

The woman’s lips curled up to form a smile.

Slash!

Roar!

With a roar, a defensive shield was formed around the bear’s body.

The woman clicked her tongue as she drifted to the side. Her movement was so agile and it made her looked as if she had no bones for she was capable of twisting her body so much.

"Tsk, tsk, such a bear is really a hindrance. I really hate that shield."

"No worry."

Behind her, the hooded man was also raised his hand. There was no specific movement that he did but the first bear that was forming the shield suddenly stopped moving. There was no one who could see what the hooded man did but they could have already guessed from the way he did his move.

The man was attacking the bear from a distance away!

The woman smiled happily and turned around once more. By now, she had taken out a sword and pointed it towards the shield and pierced through it.

Prang!

The shield shattered into pieces. The woman twisted her body and swung her sword, cutting off the boar’s head cleanly.

While the two of them were facing the first bear, the skinny man had rushed over to the second bear just a step after the woman. Fire enveloped the man’s hand as he flapped his fan.

Flap!

The fire had already danced and rushed over towards the second bear without stopping. The bear naturally noticed how its partner suddenly died and quickly stopped its movement and roared wildly.

ROAR!

Swish!

The man jumped to the side as the ground rumbled and several earth spike formed on the ground. The skinny man didn’t seem to be surprised as he merely folded his fan and pointed towards the bear.

"You’re really quite the heartless figure, aren’t you. Elemental beast are quite rare but unfortunately, I meet you at the wrong time."

The fire began to spread from the fan towards the bear, piercing a point of its hand.

"Move away!"

Wei Mu couldn’t stand how he was being ignored by the other three. He rushed like a bull before an axe appeared on his hand. With a loud shout, he jumped in front of the bear and hacked down his large axe!

Slash!

Fresh blood splattered as the second bear died!

In the hand of these four cultivators who had only met for the first time, they worked seamlessly to defeat the four beasts.

In the carriage, a middle aged man was looking out. His eyes were watching the four cultivators who were fighting outside. "Young Master, those four are not too bad. Do you have any plan to recruit them?"

In front of him was a young master who was lying sideways on the chair. His face was pale and it made him looked like a sickly young boy. Compared to the four people outside, who were definitely young, he looked even younger.

His eyes narrowed when he heard what the middle aged man said. "Them?"

"Yes?"

"They might be good but they can’t even compare to my personal guards. If not because of emergency, I will not agree of hiring them to be guards." The young master’s tone was extremely cold.

The middle aged man sighed. He knew that the young master’s standard was extremely high because of his background. Those four would surely attract the attention of so many people if they were placed in regular kingdom.

But for his young master, they worth nothing.

"Just tell them to rest." The young master coughed and titled his body to the side. He was clearly unwilling to say anything more because his condition was deteriorating. If not because of his current body condition, they would have already taken the teleportation array and head back directly.

The middle aged man sighed once more and nodded. His eyes landed on the two bears. "I wonder what actually attract those two beasts. Is there any good herbs nearby?"

"They’re only at rank 5. Herbs that can attract those two are not of my interest." The young man scoffed.

"True." The middle aged man could only shake his head in pity. If only the one that attacked was a beast at higher rank, they might have a chance.
