Rise of the Great Emperor

Chapter 225: Released

Chapter 225: Released

In the prison, Lin Xiao opened his eyes and stretched his body. The three months of vacation he had inside the prison was nice. He treated this place as his training room and aside from the lack of food, which he compensated by eating the food he had prepared in his Spatial Ring, it was not much difference from a training room.

Overall, Lin Xiao was also very satisfied with his gain.

There was no one to bother him and he could train freely over the course of three months. It seemed that Elder Wang must have made sure that he was not disturbed during this period of time.

"Lin Xiao, you can get out now."

"Ok."

Lin Xiao walked out of the cell then headed back out. Feeling the fresh air outside, he felt more satisfied. It was much better than staying inside that cell since the window was simply too small and they were practically in the middle of nowhere.

"Lin Xiao!"

Looking to the side, Lin Xiao sneered when he saw Prince Lin Hong standing there. He arched his eyebrows. "What do you want Prince Lin Hong?"

"I want you to become my follower."

"Your follower?" Lin Xiao laughed. "You’re not worthy."

"Heh, I already thought you’re going to say that." Prince Lin Hong’s expression was cold. He knew that Lin Xiao’s words were always infuriating, so he learned how to be patient. "However, do you think you have any choice? With so many students here, do you think that you can defeat all of us?"

"Try me." Lin Xiao was standing back coldly.

"Attack him."

Lin Xiao glanced to the back towards the guards and smiled. "All of you are eyewitness here that they’re the one attacking me first. Those who dared to lie may be struck with lightning later."

The guards were stunned when they heard what Lin Xiao said. Curses could be powerful if it was said by other cultivators and even though they had no relationship whatsoever, some of them did believe in curses. Their expression turned pale when they heard what Lin Xiao said.

Swish!

Lin Xiao swiftly moved to the side, evading the attack. His eyes were cold as he punched forward and the young man was flown back like a kite, crashing onto his teammates.

"Foundation Establishment!" in that moment, Prince Lin Kai had realized that Lin Xiao had advanced. His expression turned grave, but he also understood that it was impossible for Lin Xiao to not advance with his current ability.

Would that young man stay still in Body Training Rank 10 forever? That was nonsense.

Lin Xiao arched his eyebrows. "Do you really think I’ll stay in Body Training Rank 10 after staying in the prison for so long?"

Swish!

With a jerk, he had already arrived before the row of students there. Since he didn’t have any intention to kill them, Lin Xiao merely punched them with Mountain Punch. That skill alone was more than enough to send them off flying back.

Bang!

The students were unable to properly receive Lin Xiao’s attack. Many were looking at Lin Xiao with disbelief because he was much more powerful than he was before. Did training in prison actually made him more powerful?

They were perplexed.

"You.."

Tring~!

When the melodious sound rang, most of them were unable to step another step. At the same time, several shadows moved forward to block their path from getting closer to Lin Xiao. The swift movement seemed to seal their path completely.

"Brother, are you alright?" Lin Yun asked.

Lin Xiao nodded. However, his eyes lingered on his younger brother in surprise. "You’ve already advanced?"

"You’re not the only one busy training, Brother."

"Hmm, good."

Looking at the others, he noticed that all of them have already had their breakthrough to Foundation Establishment. While body training stage was the best to increase their physical strength, level 10 was usually acknowledged as the highest level they could achieve. Only very few of them could reach above it and mostly through medicine.

It was because of that the others chose to make their breakthrough and no longer cared about their overall strength. They were already quite powerful enough as they were.

"What should we do with them?" Sui Wenyan asked while her finger still played the zither in her hand. What she had been practicing the most was crowd control. After all, soundwave was the easiest to reach further and with this skill of hers, she knew that she would be able to control the crowd.

Extending her Qi and perfecting her control, it was no longer that hard for her to affect more than 100 people all at once.

"Do you still want to have a go, Your Highness?" Lin Xiao asked. "Mind you that unofficial fight can be turned against you."

"You wouldn’t be able to touch me, you country bumpkin." Prince Lin Hong sneered. He was clear of his background and the power that the Royal Family could pull. Since Prince Lin Kai had fallen, those who supported him had already moved allegation.

In fact, Prince Lin Kai and his family members were all assassinated not long ago. Several other Royal Family members were also involved, killing many of them all at once. As for who sent them, there were many speculations.

"I can’t touch you?" Lin Xiao sneered. He turned his body around. "I can touch you if I want. However, I don’t feel like doing it.

Swish!

Prince Lin Hong felt as if something flashed, but he couldn’t pin point what it was. His eyes were narrowed when he saw the lock of hair in Lin Xiao’s hand. "You..."

"Let me take this lock of hair as a warning." Lin Xiao smiled. "Would you like to try again, Your Highness?"

Chill permeated deep within Prince Lin Hong’s bone. He was staring at that lock of hair in disbelief. All this time, he was always the first amongst those around his age. Aside from his brother and those geniuses older than him, he would be the first and the best.

But now... how could this person, who only placed at rank 99, possibly touch him, who was at rank 1?

He couldn’t believe it.
