Rise of a Dungeon Lord

Chapter 35 Dungeon day(I)

Chapter 35  Dungeon day(I)

Dungeon day!

Unexpectedly, contrary to the heroes' expectations, it arrived faster than any of them expected

Even the gods who were overwatching the heroes had a strong reaction

[A certain dwarven blacksmith God ruffles his beard In excitement]

[A compassionate goddess can't wait to see many of her valiant heroes in action]

[ A God who loves war passes the compassionate goddess some popcorn to chew]

Looking at the reactions of various Gods on their screen, the heroes couldn't help but excite themselves

Especially those who had never received any atten from Gods during their arrival to present

Now everyone seeing the god's reaction only had one thought in mind

'This is my chance!'

Realising this was an opportunity to impress some Gods and gain some blessings, the heroes could wait to head into the dungeon

And the pope seeing this, had a relaxed smile on his face

*Oh? It seems like the gods have started to react*

Sensing the change in the heroes' moods, the pope could already tell what has going on

Thankfully the appearance of the gods don't bring any damage to his plan, rather it was an unexpected form of help

After all, just now he was still planning on how to persuade the heroes to go into the dungeon in case someone objected later

Fortunately, thanks to the heroes and their desire to be noticed by the Gods, the pope realised his worries were unnecessary.

Thinking of this, he decided to immediately lead them into the dungeon while they were still so hyped

So with a loud clap, the pope created a sound gaining their attention

*Clap!*

"My esteems heroes of Elias, thank you for your willingness to help, and while I want to brief you more on the dungeon, unfortunately I cannot"

"Due to the current situation, we have no choice but to level you up as quickly as possible"

With a worst-case scenario a curse being imposed upon them for wasting their time.

23:35

And the heroes realising this knew they couldn't go against the Pope's words

*And as for combat skills, you'll learn them as you fight the monsters in Dungeons"

"Now all you need to do is follow me for now and we'll head to the nearest beginner dungeon"

Emphasising on the urgency of the situation, the pope smartly pushed them into a position where they couldn't refuse

After all, if they decided not to head back with him, then it would be no different from admitting they were cowards

And being bring branded a coward would almost definitely lead to instant abandonment of the gods attention

With a worst-case scenario a curse being imposed upon them for wasting their time.

And the heroes realising this knew they couldn't go against the Pope's words

So seeing the heroes remain silent without any objection, the pope finally gave them one last bit of reassurance

Guarantee their safety!

Thinking of this, The pope slowly talked to them with a smile

"Heroes of Aincrad, to be honest, I as the pope am the one who's most annoyed by the current situation"

"After all, why would I want to endanger the future saviours of Aincrad by rushing into a dungeon unprepared?"

"Unfortunately, as I said, given the current situation we have no choice."

"If you heroes don't level up quickly and gain some fighting power, then given the current situation we'll soon be overrun!"

Taking a deep breath, the pope let them take in the current situation

although just how correct what he said was unknown, especially since the heroes had never left the palace

So listening and believing the Pope's words was the only thing they could do

And the pope knowing this, decided to take advantage of the situation.

After planning a bit of fear into their hearts, it was then next to give them hope

So with this in mind, the Pope continued speaking

"However, don't worry too much about the danger of the dungeon, all you have to do is focus on levelling up"

"And as for your safety, that would be left to none other than some inquisitors, castle knights, and priests who would follow you"

"With them around, even if you accidentally lose an arm, you can trust the priest to reattach it"

Cracking a joke, the pope went on to reassure them on just how much their safety would be guaranteed in order to strengthen their courage

And thankfully this worked, especially after hearing the appearance of the inquisitors have the heroes a serious confident boost

Looking at the tall expressionless inquisitor in their front, as the heroes thought of that pressure that oppressed them not too long a go

They couldn't help but be glad that such a person was watching over their safety

Seeing this, the pope knew there was nothing more for him to say

Now all that was left was for phase two of his plan to commence by them entering the dungeon

Thinking of this, the pope couldn't wait for it to start

So with that on his mind, the pope immediately announced their departure for the dungeon

"Alright heroes, since you all understand let us start going!"

"The carriages responsible for carrying each and every one of you had been arranged in front"

"While the soldiers and everyone else responsible for protecting your safety would ride beside you"

"As for me, I'll be waiting right here in the castle palace hoping to see your glorious return and growth once you're done"

Saying this, the pope still had his signature heart-warming smile on his face making even the most nervous heroes calm down

However, just when the heroes were about to take their leave, Hibiki suddenly asked a question

"Wait a minute sir pope, what's the name of the dungeon we're going to?"

Hearing this, the pope couldn't help but be stunned before turning back to his usual smile

It just occurred to him that throughout the curse of this meeting, he hadn't once said the name of the dungeon

Thinking of this, the pope couldn't help but give Hibiki a grateful smile

"Thank you young hero for your reminder, that's a good question."

"The place you're going to is none other than the famous great undead dungeon!"
