Rebirth: Over the Horizon

After walking for almost an hour, they finally reached the forest. The two of them regained their liveliness and increased the pace they were walking.

The dense forest was not letting most of the light pass from the sky and was very dim.

It also has a lot of bushes making it a terrain well suited for the surprise attack from monsters.

And after 30 minutes.

There wasn't one surprise attack that the two of them was worried about after all, and their exploration continues peacefully.

"Nothing is coming out?" ariana asked.

*Shin*, the forest that was silent and eerie.

The more they move deeper, the sounds were really disappearing.

"C-Can we talk about something?!"

Because of the anxiety beyond description, Ariana shouts.

"Eh?! I-Its okay though?"

At the time, Adam forcefully started to talk and tried to change the atmosphere.

The two heard *Po*, the sound of igniting a fire.

Because it was the first sound since they came here, they sensitively reacted and looked towards where the sound came from.

Adam saw a few blue supernatural fiery balls, floating, and approaching them.

"Its game, game, don't be afraid" Ariana mumbled.

"Hey, don't be afraid, I'm here na?"

"That's not reassuring at all"

"Do you want to run?"

"Huh, who wants to run, Even if I am afraid, this is only a game"

The next moment, some supernatural fiery balls appeared, the monsters also became lively.

Floating skulls, supernatural fiery balls with different colors, zombies, and transparent humans, various kinds of ghosts and specters started to appear.

"Khuu! We shouldn't have entered this forest!!"

"Hey, hold up together"

Ariana started to run without listening to him, "Don't run, you will attract their attention"

After running for a few minutes, she found a crumbling deserted house and jumps in it like an emergency escape.

"Ariana, I didn't expect you to be afraid of ghosts"

"Uh, Then why did you run with me"

"Uhm, Well-Never mid, it's an old house, want to search around?"

"I'll leave it to you," Ariana says.

"Well, you've always been bad with ghosts right?"

She didn't reply, seemingly very exhausted, sat on the chair in the deserted house.

Adam started to search around, but in the first place, there wasn't much furniture inside the deserted house.

There was only a worn-out table and the worn-out chair. 

The dirty carpet was placed beneath the table.

And an old chest of drawers.

In this room, there wasn't even a bed, a person couldn't live in it.

The windows are shattered in some parts, it was barely closed shut with the remaining shards of glasses.

Inside the chest of drawers, there was nothing.

Adam had a faint expectation that there might be a medal, but it couldn't go that easy. While he was searching the house, which had nothing, adam heard a voice from behind.

"What do you think? It is already past 6 in-game time, it is evening soon"

"Ah maybe that's why the ghosts came out, we choose the wrong time to enter the forest" Ariana said in a realization.

"I have some food we could eat it and rest here, but, I think you'd hate to stay here"

Ariana silently took a glance outside of the window, there were silhouettes that were clearly not of the players outside.

Since the monsters were not entering the deserted house, it seemed to be safe, but if they go outside, it would sure be a pandemonium of hell for her.

"It can't be helped I should be fine for a day"

Adam sat beside Ariana, after searching the house.

"Hey, Want to play cards"

"Well, I am not really interested in it"

"Adam, We live in las vegas, how can you not like cards"

"Huh, Is there any rule saying that, I have to like cards if I stayed in las vegas"

"C'mon baby, I am very bored"

"Stop with those teasing words" adam slightly blushed for the first time.

'Hehe, he is blushing'

Adam grabbed the cards and started to shuffle it. Inside the game, a few simple entertainment items exist. That was one of those.

"It might distract us for a while, but there are only two people so, it will end fast you know?

"Then, let's make it a little more interesting, you have to take lead to kiss me, If I won"

"W-what are saying!!"

"Then, I won't play"

"OK, fine, but I have to see by myself, how good are you at cards"

The two were playing games, cards, the night was still young but, "S-stop, it...Mmhhpp...It's already the fourth time...ha..ha"

Adam could feel her hot breath, sweat dripped from his face, in a cramped and deserted place he kissed her for the fourth time. Ariana's face was fully blushing and she couldn't help but feel hot.

"You, C-cheated me, how can you claim that you didn't like cards when you are this good at playing it"

Adam smirked, "I only said that I don't like cards, but, have I ever said that, I am bad at playing cards"

"You idiot, Let's go another round, this time I will be sure to win"

"Hehe, it's a deal then"

In the middle of it, they ate dinner and continued the game.

"Hum, I won!"

"Damn it"

He tasted her lips for 5th time, "Do you want to play another round, baby?"

"G..G..G...Go to HELL!! You idiotic Bastard!!" Ariana jumped out of his embrace.

"I'm going to sleep," she took the sleeping bag and quickly went inside.

'Silly, you will be mine, soon or later' Adam gave her a kiss on her forehead and went to sleep.

Because the possibility of monsters attacking was zero, the two of them slept relaxing.

When the time turned 12, A low, unclear voice was heard near the table, which made them wake up instantly out of their slumber,

It was very intermittent, but they heard it clearly.

Uuuwwwaaaaaaaaa!!

"Beneath the table?"

Adam quickly flips out the carpet and checks what's below.

"There is an underground tunnel?

The voice was getting louder, the source of it was below there for sure.

"I'll go exploring okay?" adam said as he prepared to jump.

"I will also go. It would be bad if you got defeated"

"What. I will get defeated?"

"Yes, you will Hmp~" Ariana cutely snorted and stuck closely to Adam from behind.
