She managed to defeat Raticate after 3 Psychic. Actually, two psychics would have been enough, but thanks to Raticate's Protect, Raticate could hold out one more move.

Although she was able to defeat this Raticate, she used up all of her Teleports. In addition, she only had around 50% HP left. But because Kirlia is still strengthened by Calm Mind, Alex did not exchange her.
