Chapter 127
127 Wanting to Marry
“Fat boy, I really like you. Do you like me too?”
The sudden question left Nathan speechless.
He wasn’t someone who could express his feelings easily. His body felt stiff for a long time, unable to utter a single word from his mouth.
Ella felt a little disappointed when she realized this.
She thought that this fat kid also liked her, even if only a little. She also wished she could hear it from Nathan’s own mouth.
“I... I’m not ready,” Nathan muttered.
Hearing Nathan’s voice, Ella felt a little surprised. What kind of answer was that? What did he need to be ready for?
Shouldn’t he just have to nod?
Before Ella could ask, Nathan answered seriously. “If you want to marry me, I have to think about it. I’ve heard on TV that marriage is a lifetime decision, it can’t be decided on a whim.”
.....
Holding the ointment in his hand, Nathan lowered his head and thought about the matter very seriously.
“If you want to marry me, will my father agree?” Nathan raised his head and asked Ella.
Ella looked at Nathan and couldn’t understand how this fat kid could conclude that she wanted to marry him.
“Fat boy, I don’t want...”
Before she could finish her sentence, Nathan had gotten out of bed.
“Old woman, wait. I’ll ask my father,” Ella couldn’t help but be stunned when she saw the bedroom door shut with a bang.
Did he say he wanted to ask Christian? Has that fat boy gone mad?
Ignoring the pain and discomfort all over her body, Ella got up from the bed and went to the changing room to get some clothes.
At this time, Nathan, who had already descended downstairs, went straight to his father. He was leaning on his father’s arm while showing a sweet smile.
Nathan raised his head and blinked, trying to put on his best smile. “Father, the old woman said she liked me. She wanted to marry me.”
Nathan was very excited and happy when the old woman wanted to marry him.
Because he was also happy when he was with Ella.
Christian was watching the stock market movements on his cell phone and his concentration was slightly disturbed when he heard his son’s words. He lowered his head and looked at Nathan who was beside him.
“Where did you get that confidence from?”
“Hah?”
Nathan didn’t understand what his father meant so he could only stare at Christian’s face with a blank gae.
“Where did you get the confidence that Ella would marry you?” Christian laughed at Nathan.
Even when dealing with his own son, Christian was still ruthless.
There was no way Ella could say that she wanted to marry Nathan, a five-year-old boy whose height only reached his thighs.
“She said she likes me!” Nathan immediately replied with disapproval.
Although he was still very young, he had a bright future. Plus, he’s handsome. And even if he was not as handsome as his father, his good looks were enough to make Ella want to marry him. And he also liked Ella, unlike his father.
Most importantly, the old woman loved him!
Christian looked at his son who didn’t want to admit defeat with an annoyed look.
This morning, he had time to go to his office but he could not do his work in peace. He returned at lunchtime to see Ella. He knew that he had exhausted Ella’s energy last night. Ella must be feeling uncomfortable right now.
However, as soon as he came home, he was greeted by his son who said that Ella would marry him.
“I’ll take you to ask her directly,” Christian said as he put down his phone. He picked up Nathan and walked upstairs.
Ella was much calmer after putting on the clothes. After taking a change of clothes, she immediately went into the bathroom to clean herself.
Before she finished showering, the bathroom’s door suddenly opened.
She held a bottle of soap in her hand, wanting to throw it at anyone who entered carelessly. When she realized who had entered, Ella could only stare at Christian and Nathan, who looked both serious and wide-eyed.
What is this?
Ella breathed a sigh of relief because at least, the person who barged in wasn’t someone with ill intention. She leaned against the bathroom’s wall to balance her body and immediately covered the important parts of her body by squatting on the floor.
“What are you doing?”
“I wanted to ask a question,” Christian said first.
His eyes were locked on Ella’s body and his face was much calmer after realizing that the traces of their passionate night from yesterday were still clearly visible on Ella’s body.
Unlike his shameless father, Nathan felt a little embarrassed at the thought that Ella was naked. But after thinking that Ella was going to marry him, he immediately got up the courage and said in front of Christian, “I also wanted to ask something.”
“What is it?”
Ella huddled in a corner, hoping that the father and son would soon leave her alone.
“I heard you want to marry my son, is that true?”
Christian’s words startle Ella.
This guy wouldn’t skin her alive because of this problem, right?
Just as she was about to shake her head, Nathan’s voice rang in her ears. “Old woman, you said you liked me. Don’t dodge now. If you lie to me, I will never forgive you.”
Ella could only swallow her words back.
She couldn’t answer.
She didn’t want to upset Christian and she didn’t want to disappoint Nathan either. So in the end, she decided to remain silent.
“Answer it!” Christian said in a deep voice.
How dare this woman be silent and not answer his question. Seeing Ella’s appearance, it seemed that it was true that the woman said she liked Nathan.
Christian himself had never heard Ella say that she sincerely liked him.
At the thought of this, Christian felt irritated.
“Ella, you better find a way to explain all this to me,” having said that, Christian walked out of the bathroom.
From the way he closed the door, Ella could tell that Christian was very, very angry.
Nathan blinked repeatedly. Before he could say anything, Christian had left him alone.
He saw his father coming out of the bathroom, rushing after him to the door. When he got to the door, he said to Ella, “Old woman, it seems that father is very angry.”
Ella could only stare at the door helplessly.
She could see it too.
Nathan didn’t hear Ella’s answer and continued to talk to himself. “Father must think that a woman like you who always makes mistakes doesn’t deserve to marry me. No problem, I’ll talk to him again. He would definitely agree. But you also have to be firm. As long as you insist on marrying me, my dad can’t stop us!”
