Paragon of Death

Chapter 219 - 219 Chapter 218: Armanthos

219 Chapter 218: Armanthos

Damon frowned as he realized something was wrong. Judging clearly based on his knowledge he couldn’t see Blink losing this fight but his gut feeling was telling him otherwise!

“The capital can wait!” Damon decided but before he could move he was already surrounded.

Swoosh!

A strong fist of wind blew by and two figures could be seen standing in mid-air. These two were amongst the closest friends he once had in this kingdom.

“That is my successor you are trying to harm. I won’t allow it!” Duke Hail said with cruel eyes.

“Hmph! The fact that you are here means you really had the mind to kill Daniel Ross. Something inside of me hoped you would stop there, but I guess there is no going back now” Gerald Gyro stood with cruel eyes and his robes flapping in the wind.

If Armanthos is to complete his task then they need to hold Damon here and he understood that. His cold eyes remained pinned on Damon who seemed to ignore them and kept looking in Blink’s direction.

“This successor of yours, what is he called?” Damon asked in a calm and cold voice.

“Armanthos” Duke Hail responded coldly. It seems the news of Daniel Ross’s death was still a bit too overwhelming for him. In his opinion, that was Damon’s last chance of redeeming himself but unknown to these people, Damon wasn’t the one that actually killed Daniel Ross.

.....

It was his student.

“....” Damon silently gazed at the person with a deep frown.

He could tell he was older than this person but it was by a year or two at most.

Hmph!

“I will get this over with fast and go to my disciple!” Damon declared coldly.

...…..

Whoosh!

Blink’s eyes yanked open as an invisible domain exploded from his body spreading far and wide. As it moved, it blended with the world and became one with it making it unnoticeable.

This was Blink’s anomaly!

As the zone kept spreading, it finally reached Armanthos but stopped there, causing Blink’s eyes to dilate due to shock.

What the hell?

Blink was flabbergasted since he has never seen something like this before. An anomaly is a cultivator’s way of merging his power with the world to improve his advantage on the battlefield. As long as the world admits nothing should be able to stop but somehow this man was able to stop his anomaly from completely coming to life!

Every other place was under the effect of his anomaly except for everything within a hundred meters radius of Armanthos.

“What the hell are you?” Blink was terrified and the confidence he was gathered washed away instantly.

“The laws of the jungle, the strong will thrive and the weak will die. How dare someone weaker than me attempt to trample within my territory! Are you not scared of death?”

Boom!

Blink felt an incredible pressure befall him and he quickly fell to his knees with blood running down his nostrils and eyes. On his face was a completely terrified look and his body swayed from side to side with the wind before collapsing to the ground instantly.

Lone Wolf secret technique: Gaze of Alpha

Armanthos eyes slowly lost their glow as he gazed at the unconscious Blink. He already ordered Blink to give up from the beginning yet he kept fighting. In the end, he lost without even putting up a fight!

Pitiful!

Armanthos snorted disdainfully before walking toward Blink’s unconscious body. His hands slowly emerged from his sleeves revealing red and silver claws. He soon reached Blink’s and crouched before raising his hand to land the killing blow!

Swoosh!

Armanthos eyes chilled as his hands moved accordingly and a combination of red and silver lights exploded from his claws.

Secret technique: Brilliant claw!

His body skidded backward as he left behind a long trail of fierce but even then he barely made it in time!

Peng!

Pst!

Blood squirted out of his throat and his right hand was cut off from the shoulder.

Blegh!

Armanthos spat out a mouthful of blood before revealing a cruel smile. He turned to look at a figure standing a few meters away with his back turned on him. The dagger in his hand seemed to be phasing in and out of reality while a dreadful death aura could be seen diffusing from his body.

“Impressive… If I wasn’t a werewolf I would be dead already” Armanthos gave an honest praise as he turned to look at Blink completely.

He picked up his hand and attached it back, leaving Blink to watch it heal. Just like that the cut on his throat healed as well.

“If you didn’t move your head when you did, you would have been dead. I don’t think you survived because you are a werewolf. I believe you survived because you are strong” Blink responded blankly with a face void of emotions. It felt like the introduction of the diabolic aura from the black gem on his chest made him a different person.

Heh!

Armanthos revealed a cruel grin that revealed his fangs. The sudden change in Blink was even more terrifying but for someone like Armanthos, he saw this as an opportunity to fight someone strong.

If Blink can satisfy his blood lust with this power then so be it.

He didn’t even care if he died, or was it really because he didn’t care?

No, it was simply because he believed he just can’t lose.

The lone wolf never loses a fight!

Hmph!

Boom!

Fiery wind surged around Armanthos while his hands remained folded around his chest.

“A lone wolf needs no pack or army. A lone wolf is the embodiment of perfection…. I am Armanthos, that name will never know defeat!” Armanthos said with a confident smile and Blink remained motionless.

“Impudent fool” Blink sneered as he tightened the grip on his twin silver daggers.

His eyes seemed to reveal a bright silver light as more silver daggers formed out of thin air, twirling around Blink in the form of a run of daggers.

“Come at me!” He ordered
