Paragon of Death

Chapter 198

198 Chapter 197: Killing two dragons

“This is not something you ancient relics can decide on!” Damon sneered coldly as he reached for the souls and a powerful explosive force erupted around him, pulling the entire world towards him.

If these ancient beings think they can just come and do as they wish then they are wrong! Damon was fed up with letting these old beings decide their fate!

He will control his own fate!

Buzz!

The world began trembling as the two sides battled fiercely for the two souls.

Damon watched as the world chains bound the four dragons, greatly reducing their power but even then he was finding it hard to get that weapon off their grip!

[Let me out! I can take those souls for you!]

A cruel voice bloomed in Damon’s mind, making him shudder in fear!

Almost immediately his green pupils vanished and his eyes turned completely back.

.....

The air around the battlefield seemed to change as a new kind of aura revolved around Sol.

“Sol....” The ancient dragons grimaced as they felt the familiar aura.

“And here we thought you had been bested by this puny human. I guess the rumors are wrong” The ancestral dragon of destruction said with a wicked look in his eyes.

It gazed at Sol and nodded in affirmation but almost immediately its eyes turned fearful of the man standing beneath them.

Bang!

The ground cracked as more invisible chains shot out, binding all four dragons!

“You!” The four were terrified but Sol paid them no heed, instead he spoke to Damon who watched everything transpire from within.

“Unless you can control the power of the world and bend it to your will, you will never be acknowledged by the world as a new god! Keep this in mind while you keep fighting my battles for me! When the time comes I will be taking back this body and claiming my place as the true deity for this realm!” Sol bellowed in fury as he greedily consumed not only the souls of Raizen and Fei but the soul fragments of the four ancient elemental Dragons.

Bang!

As if knocked out by an invisible force, Damon’s eyes glowed back to life as his pupils turned green again. His figure stood at the peak of all of it, there he stood with a calm but uncertain face looking into the distance with pain in his eyes.

He may have won this battle but he has lost far more.

What happened just now proves that Sol can still take control of his body even if it’s only for a short time. With such a threat lingering around, Damon was disturbed and couldn’t help but imagine the amount of damage he could do in just a minute.

Brrrrrr!

Damon suddenly frowned as he felt the power swelling up in him. Shutting his eyes, his inner mind opened and he found himself in a dark room where Demos and Sol were sealed yet at the center of it all, a combination of the powers of the four Ancestral dragons surged forward, threatening to shatter him from within.

Hmph!

“Not knowing one’s strength!” Damon snorted disdainfully as he flung his hands forward as more black chains shot out from all sides stabbing into the bodies of the four dragons.

He may not be able to control the world power around him but he can control the power of his mind. As soon as he pinned the four dragon soul fragments down, the fierce flames they had conjured vanished into thin air.

“Many who came before you have tried but even then, they lost” Damon shot Sol and Demos a glance before returning his focus to the four dragon soul fragments.

“Your case will be no different!” Damon snorted disdainfully.

Xiu!

His eyes opened in the realm world and when it was done he could only see Gerald standing at a distance and looking at him. Behind him were the son of heaven, archmage Kratos, Kaido, Dillian and Duke Hail

They all arrived here as soon as they realized something was happening around their borders only to meet the corpses of the two Draconian tyrants that have been destroying villages and towns in the central continent. Then there was Damon who stood like a statue in mid-air, in all his glory and power.

The moment Damon looked back at them, they shivered but they did not retreat.

“Thank you for your help this time. I owe you a debt I hope to repay someday” Gerald cupped his fists and bowed while speaking calmly.

Damon’s fierce gaze softened drastically as it fell on Gerald. Amongst the entire Gyro Kingdom, it is safe to say he was Damon’s personal favorite from this crappy kingdom.

“This is a debt you will pay by handing over the Gyro Kingdom to me.... For the sake of this continent and the human race as a whole. If you wish to survive long enough, you all need to follow me” Damon said calmly but Gerald shook his head in refusal without hesitation.

“I apologize but the Gyro Kingdom is not something I can give away nor is it something you can just take. It’s far more than a mere item!” Gerald said with a stern look on his face. He would fulfill any other wishes Damon may have but giving away Gyro Kingdom to a stranger is not something he would be willing to do.

Hearing this Damon frowned but said nothing yet. He had expected this reply but he wasn’t expecting it to come so easily like this. He was hoping Gerald to try and find out why he wanted the kingdom or something but that never happened. Why?

Because this is something Gerald will never agree to even if the entire kingdom is burning to the ground!

That’s why he didn’t even attempt to know why.

“Sad... because I came here with the plans of taking it. To be honest it’s a lot easier now that more important figures are gathered in one spot. As long as I can kill you all, the gyro Kingdom is mine” Damon said calmly.
