Paragon of Death

Chapter 194

194 Chapter 193: Forcing the enemy to retreat with mere words

Swoosh!

Countless sword lights filled the sky as the God of sword brandished his swords at the enemy, filling the space with countless sword lights but even then, Damon didn’t seem moved as it seemed like anything within a certain range of him would be reduced to ashes.

None of his attacks could reach Damon but Damon could reach him almost instantly.

Swoosh!

Damon’s figure was like that of an illusion, vanishing and reappearing at various spots until he reached the God of sword in mere seconds.

Peng!

Three blades swung towards Alex so fast he barely had the time to react. His hand was thrown forward in reply, causing countless sparks to fill the air as countless blade slashes were unleashed in an instant but none pierce the skin on Damon’s palm.

Bang!

Before the God of sword could react, Damon grabbed him by the skull and pulled him down, smashing him into the ground face first!

.....

Bang!

Damon kicked his body away as if he was going against a child not worth his time or effort.

“Quickly, enter formation! Protect the Lord!”

Numerous voices cried out in shock and panic as countless figures raced forward in hope of bringing Damon down before he killed their leader.

Hmph!

Impudent fools!

Damon’s eyes chilled as he casually raised his hand and fierce darkish green flames poured out, covering the sky and raining down on the world beneath like a tsunami!

“You!!” The God of sword growled furiously as he shot towards the sea of hell flames anger in his eyes. In normal circumstances, the God of sword won’t be moved if he were defeated by Damon but watching Damon try to wipe out his subordinates enraged him!

“Hmph! Even with my cultivation defect, an inferior being like you cannot compete against me. Maybe that’s why the world has chosen to replace the old gods” Damon snorted disdainfully and watched as the entire hell flames were just about to collapse.

“There is nothing I cannot cut!” An enraged voice could be heard as the sea of flames split in two and before Damon could react, the God of sword was standing behind him, sheathing his sword.

Puff!

Damon frowned deeply as blood squirted out of his throat but the cut was shallow.

Whatever it was the enemy did, it was so fast he couldn’t defend against it. For a spirit realm expert to catch him off-guard, it was truly shocking.

“Not bad,” Damon muttered with a stern look on his face.

He gazed at the figure standing with broken swords in his hands. Crimson-red blood flowed out of the torn part of the host’s hand, leaving Damon with a cruel smile.

“All that just for a little cut? Was it worth it?” Damon asked with a raised eyebrow and the God of sword turned to meet his gaze.

He refused to speak without looking into Damon’s eyes and undertaking his intentions.

“If we run we achieve your goal and the world sees you as their new savior. They will really be under your banner, making life a lot more difficult for us” the God of sword said with a calm look on his face.

“Hmph! So you would rather die here at my hands? No matter what choice you make, I come out on top” Damon said with his hands placed behind him gently, while his legs levitated slightly over the floor.

Hearing this God of sword frowned. If any of them were to die now, they would only end up boosting Damon’s power to levels far beyond what it should be. In reality, there was no way they can come out of this on top.

“You had this in mind before attacking?” God of sword asked and Damon only smiled in response.

To others, each battle must be won but to Damon that meant nothing. As long as he won his fight, the others will naturally follow suit so he found it amusing that God of sword would dare harbor thoughts of winning against him and his team.

Wasting more time would only make things difficult since it would give Damon more chances to make an attempt on his life. Should Damon succeed, the balance is broken and his team will be forced to retreat.

The outcome will always remain the same. The only thing to question now is whether he will make it out of this alive or not.

“Your choice” Damon said with a calm look on his face.

Seeing this the God of sword frowned and his hands instinctively reached out for his blade but he seemed to stop. Damon’s domineering figure was enough to keep him on his toes and when considering his next action he concluded only a fool would choose to fight Damon now.

“Withdraw!”

Giving the order, god of sword stood behind his retreating forces while gazing at Damon coldly. He dared not attack but he wasn’t the type to give the enemy an opening to deal more damage to his soldiers. With great grief and regret, he stood and watched as his greatest enemy stood some distance away and he is unable to do a thing about it.

He felt frustrated but couldn’t vent it out. For now, he could only watch in silence while silently swearing to repay Damon’s kindness by a hundredfold. Seeing the God of swords forces retreating, the others began retreating as well. They needed to escape as well and they couldn’t hesitate when going against the God veins hosts.

While these people were retreating Damon revealed a cruel smile and turned into a ball of darkness, shooting towards a certain direction. This man was supposed to be his prey, he is also one of the main reasons why he died. Now he has sensed the aura of this person again, he definitely won’t let it slide.

“I will have you all pay the debts you owe!” Damon practically hissed those words as he shot into the distance without hesitation.

Meanwhile, the other hosts and members of the blood mountain could only stand and watch Damon vanish from their vision.

“There he goes again” Gin sighed.
