Paragon of Death

Chapter 190

190 Chapter 189: A gamble

Bang!

The doors of the courtroom opened and Sol walked in with Gin, Cyrus, and Elsa following him tightly from behind. Sol’s calm gaze shifted to the figure seated on the throne while having bandages wrapped around him.

Seeing Blink seated shirtless with so many sword cut wounds, everyone was stunned. Cyrus, Gin, and Elsa were not expecting to see this, since the kid they left behind was a fourteen-year-old boy who apparently loves to play all day. His current looks were completely different from what they remembered. The cold look in his eyes seemed focused on Damon’s body housing the devil himself, Sol.

“I guess Damon Ross did a good thing when picking his successor. You surely surpassed his expectations” Sol said with a slight nod.

Coming here they could see the chaos and battle that just took place. Coming in here and seeing the way everyone treated Blink it was obvious he took charge while they were gone and has been protecting the blood mountain since then.

“My master. You have stolen his body... give it back” Blink’s voice was calm and cold enough to send shivers down the spine of anyone who heard it.

“And why would I do that?” Sol was stunned by the strange request which he considered dumb.

“You fail to understand what I’m doing here. I’m telling you what to do, not asking you what to do” Blink said coldly as his hand casually reached for the Silver daggers on the armrest of the throne.

The black gem on his chest kept pouring out more corruption and power as they all looked toward Blink’s changing body.

.....

“What the hell did Damon do to you?'” Elsa was stunned.

Right now, what she was seeing was not the little child they left behind. It was a cruel human corrupted by the death magic which supposedly made him stronger.

Sol seemed to ignore Blink as his eyes shifted to the four figures standing behind him.

“I created the true bloods. I put everything in place for your rise and my return. I expected you four to be far more cheerful when you see me” Sol said and the four lowered their heads.

“Even if you are not happy to see me. I don’t think I have done you so much injustice that you would let a child speak to your savior this way!”

Buzz!

The room turned cold as the gaze of the four changed slightly and their eyes began turning blood red as if they were responding to Blink’s words.

“BLINK STOP” Gin said in a bid to calm the situation but it was already too late.

Blink stood to his feet with a cruel look in his eyes while holding the daggers in his hands tightly.

“Do you really think you can hold down my master for long? Do you think my master is so weak that just anyone can take his life?” Blink said while casually walking forward.

“I am Blink, the successor of the true death mage and the one still in charge of the undead army which should be under your control” Blink said coldly.

Buzzz!

Everyone’s eyes widened in shock as they realized he had a point. If Damon was truly gone, the undead army won’t be here. It won’t be protecting Blink just like Damon ordered.

If he is still alive then there is hope!

Everyone’s gaze shifted to Sol, who remained unfazed by the sudden change in mood. His cold gaze was pinned on the sources of all these problems.

A child!

Right now the loyalty of everyone in the room was shaky due to the probability of Damon’s return. Seeing him like this, made Sol frown. What does Damon have that commands such loyalty from these people?

Why would they pick a youngling over an aged elder like him who guarantees their survival?

“Even if he lives, he is sealed within me. He will never come back and you all need me to survive this storm!” Sol said with a stern look on his face.

“We have been surviving just fine with Damon in charge!” Blink retorted fiercely as his eyes blazed with silver light!

Impudent!

Sol growled as he stretched his hands forward and the black gem in Silver’s chest began trembling violently while the black fog grabbed the others by the neck and dragged them along.

You Dare!

A furious scream erupted from Damon’s body as the grip on everyone vanished and the darkness power returned to the gem in Blink’s chest!

“MASTER!” Blink’s eyes shone with gratitude.

He knew it was a risk to provoke Sol to hurt him in hopes that Damon would react but he still did it. He had faith that his master won’t let anyone hurt him, even in death.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Death energy kept exploding from Sol as he retreated spitting out blood fiercely.

“You still dare stand in my way? Do you think I won’t kill you too Demos?”

Damon’s furious growl filled the sky as more explosions erupted around his body. Seeing this Gin frowned but quickly pulled out his blade and slashed forward!

Pfff!

Blood squirted out of Damon’s chest, stunning Sol and everyone else!

Bang!

Gin didn’t hesitate to go shot into the air as his attacks go fiercer and soon countless energy arcs filled the skies, falling on Damon alone!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

“What the hell are you doing?” Cyrus ran over and asked but Gin signaled him to be quiet with a simple hand gesture.

His cold gaze was on the figure within the dust. Slowly the edges of his hair turned green and his pitch-black eyes formed green pupils.

“Welcome back you rascal,” Gin said with a smile.

Damon looked forward with a cold look in his eyes. He slowly raised his hand and shot a thumbs-up at Gin before collapsing.

Bang!

“Shit!”

“Master!”

“Damon!”

Everyone screamed and ran over. Their eyes were filled with shock especially since this was the first time they have seen Damon so fragile.
