Chapter 343: [Bonus Chapter] I Don't Want To Kill You!

"So you were trying to act smart," Bloom sneered while watching the few survivors inside the head. He didn't need to do anything anymore as his last attack cracked the head open, and launched a new barrage of lightning inside.

All he could see was tormented faces. All he could hear was screams of pain and despair. Yet he stood there motionless watching all this without feeling anything.

Not even a speck of guilt towards them.

He knew if he didn't act this way, he would be the one getting tormented and might even lose his life at the end.

This was the simple cruel fact of this world, this new world he was now on its doorsteps.

"It was foolish to come at me like that," he finally turned around and jumped off the giant head to the ground. Once there he moved in calm steps towards the shocking faces inside his mansion.

Dealing with players then monsters was something, and defeating this gigantic mecha was another.

He noticed the awe in the eyes of many, fear and doubt in all. Even his butler gave him a scared look, a look that he would give to a real monster.

And Bloom didn't mind that look actually.

"So," he reached Liza, who was more terrified and shocked than others, "do you trust my words now?"

Liza tried to open her mouth and say something, yet the next moment she stood there with a gaped mouth and empty words.

She couldn't express what she was feeling at the moment. It wasn't easy to see this, or accept the fact of him defeating this supposedly lethal mecha.

"Do you know who they were?" he asked, trying to jump over the shock.

And all she could do was to nod in confession.

"They were the ones you were afraid of, right?"

Again she nodded.

"Then you should stay with me," he said, "I have something important to do in the game in the next few hours. During this you'll help others here to secure the area and oversee the construction going on."

"Are you... alright?"

At this moment Nara, who stood away paralyzed by what she just saw, finally came over her fear and shock and ran towards him.

The moment she got near, she jumped to his arms while asking that.

She was feeling numb all over her body out of shock. Yet she knew one thing for sure; inside his arms she was safe.

Nothing would harm her no matter how deadly it was as long as she kept herself by his side, inside his heart.

"I'm fine," he simply hugged her and patted her head softly. "Nothing can harm me in this world, or the other one."

"Can you please be more careful next time?" she moved slightly away while raising her teary eyes to meet his.

"I didn't get any injury at all," he confidently smiled, "so don't worry about me."

"Can you promise me that... please?" she pleaded and he had nothing else to do but to comply.

"I promise," he said before taking a deep breath. "I have to go back now... there are many things that I need to do there."

"At the game?" Nara was surprised by his words, "can't you let this for the morning?"

"It would be too late by then," Bloom touched her soft face while adding with a warm smile, "don't worry about me. If they could beat me in their game, they wouldn't have taken all this risk to attack me at my game."

Nara didn't understand his meaning fully, yet next to them Liza understood it perfectly well.

"I believe you two should discuss a lot before I return," he turned to Liza before adding, "I would be greatly disappointed if I returned and found you gone."

In a warning motion he turned to gaze at the dead mecha outside the mansion as he added, "it would be a great regret if I stumbled one day over one of those mechas and killed everyone inside to find you one of them."

Her face changed when he said those words. Even her body faintly trembled, yet he and Nara noticed this reaction instantly.

And he could only smile in triumph. He already cleared up his point here and all he needed to do was to retreat and wait.

No sane person would put himself in such a situation against him, not when she saw him crush that terrifying machine like it was nothing.

"Antoan," Bloom then shouted at his butler who came in a hurry. At this moment Antoan wasn't only loyal to his young master, but also quite terrified.

"I'll go inside the game now. Take your orders from Nara and Liza," Bloom said while moving his head between the two of them. "When I come back, I want to see this entire area being renovated the way I wanted. Or else..."

Bloom didn't need to continue. His threatening words were clear enough to make Antoan shiver. Bloom didn't like dealing this way with his butler.

However he was quite sure his butler wasn't feeling threatened from their enemies quite enough. He didn't want to come back to this world and find nothing happened.

He was sure that his upcoming fights inside the game would end up in his victory. That would get his enemies more enraged and desperate.

People in desperate moments would choose to do things that would seem reckless and risky.

So he had to take advantage of any chance of peace he got from now on. He gave his butler a long look before giving his two girls a goodbye look.

Then he turned around and headed inside the partially destroyed mansion of his.

Inside he found many capsules lined up in many rows. They were now getting power from the main power source of the mansion. So he didn't need to worry over their integrated batteries for now.

He randomly selected one capsule before jumping inside. He closed the lid and his eyes while muttering:

"I'm coming to you now... Bastards!"

Then he entered the world of the game once more.
