Chapter 96: The Eve Night of the Battle
Chapter 96: The Eve Night of the Battle
These videos caused the desired effect, as many started to post on forums, asking about how to join the alliance. Dante replied to them all by a single post, where he announced the date of opening the doors to accept players.
It was tomorrow morning at the main gate of the alliance headquarter.
Oya then stayed there checking the forums, while reading and assessing the reaction of players towards this announcement.
For her enemies, no single move or post was made against the alliance, and that made her realize how unwell they were feeling right now.
As for the rest of the players, part was willingly asking to join, while others were just making comparisons between this alliance and the freedom alliance. as they waited to see who would prevail to join later, and the last part announced their own alliances, yet to be built.
Oya recognized most of the players announcing their alliances, as they were all players she once met or dealt with, or their names once passed by her in the past life of gaming.
She just sighed, as she then decided to close all that, and focus entirely on planning the next thing she needed to do here; the war preparations.
She had a huge war to prepare, and that war would be enough to devastate the whole world, shocking all those watching this war between her alliance and that nasty freedom alliance.
In fact, she wasn't that busy dealing with war preparations. Her friends were all busy, dealing directly with the huge influx of players that appeared the next morning in front of the alliance headquarters.
Thousands above thousands of players came and asked to join, and thus the long and time consuming period of testing, selecting, and organizing them into the alliance frame started.
As for Oya, she only had a huge fight the next day when she killed millions of seeds in the ridge zone. As she had nothing to do, she didn't hurry to kill the seeds and gates summoned by them fast, instead she kept herself busy there, summoning more skeletons, strengthening them all, and in the end over a week had passed, and she finally got bored and started finishing the fight fast.
She now had a huge army of NPCs counting in millions following her orders, and only a handful of NPCs remained in this domain, not loyal to her, not freed from the seeds.
And she didn't plan on killing their seeds at once, as such Ela and her master arranged for a thousand NPCs with seeds to work in the headquarter various buildings and stalls, while they recruited hundred thousand NPCs to complete the working power of the headquarter.
The time was running fast, and when Oya returned home, she found that the place wasn't empty and desolate as she left it! forget the alliance headquarter which was now filled with players, the area outside the headquarter was now showing signs of foreign players coming here to make trade with others of her alliance!
She just passed by many independent stalls, made by thousands of players, and thousands more were just passing on them, making all various deals here.
She giggles, as like this her small headquarter was deepening its roots on the ground, transforming the area around it into a huge town.
"I need to hurry and build the alliance town," she muttered, as she had the stone to establish a village, given to her by Ibro. She just felt melancholic when remembering him, as all her current success and glory were gifted to her by Ibro, who had all these long ago!
In fact she was feeling lonely, much more than before, as she was currently very strong, and all her closest friends were busy, either taking care of this alliance new promising stunning growth, or trying to level up the players joining recently at the ridge zone, with the help of many NPCs, so they could prepare better for the upcoming war.
She entered her fort after taking a long and detailed tour in the headquarter. The places were all filled with players resting, talking, or laughing, making her feel quite satisfied, currently, with the growth of her alliance.
As she entered her palace, she found her main players waiting there for her; Salsola, Dante, Avada, and Mila, with big smiles over their faces when they spotted her coming. They were in the middle of speaking and discussing something when she interrupted this with her presence.
"What are these smiles for? Spill it out, I hate waiting," she said, while climbing over the stairs of her throne.
"It's nothing big, just we have crossed the border of hundred thousand players," Avada said, while Salsola added:
"As for their levels, the weakest is now level thirty, much stronger than anyone else at that freedom alliance."
"We will crush them all," Mila added, in her usual aggressive tone.
"The forums are all filled with topics of support and praise and envy to us. We are already in a place where no one can threaten, no one," Dante said.
Oya sat over her seat, feeling the familiar feeling of being high and mighty, took a deep breath, before saying:
"Don't let these successes cloud your judgment, this alliance is totally controlled by monsters, and it's not that easy to break them, even with all our current might."
Her words made the faces of everyone sink! They totally forgot this simple, yet crucial fact! they weren't facing a normal player alliance, but an alliance sat and controlled by monsters!
"Do you think they will risk showing up their monstrous side to us? Won't that backlash against them?" Salsola hurriedly said.
"No, it's the opposite," Oya said, correcting her mistake, "they never put us in their eyes in the first place. if not for us disturbing their plans, killing their future monsters, they wouldn't have rushed things up like this. We need to be sure that their attack will be strong, unpredictable, and everything is allowed in that fight, anything to crush us, the first and last resistance against their invasion, in their opinion of course."
Her words silenced everyone, making all their happiness and pride wither away!
"What should we do now then?" Dante asked, "should we lower our requirements, accept more players?" he said.
"No, it's enough what we got right now, as our real strength isn't in these players, but in my skeletons and our NPCs allies," Oya said, explaining things further to them, "we need to look weak, so they could use all their force without any reservations. If we appeared mighty, they might retreat for now, not caring anything about their face, and prepare more for us."
She then paused, before leaning her back to the throne, taking strength from it, while adding, "mark my words well, they won't step a single foot against us except when they are very sure about their success in crushing our forces, burning down our forte, and killing all of our players."
And her words proved to be right the next day. As there was only one day less for the great battle, a huge uproar was caused in the forums, as there was a sudden system notification in the early hours.
"System notification: monster outbreak has started in the area of Ihnasia ridge. Players there must be cautious, as this area is now considered as a player off zone."
The system notification got repeated all day long, making everyone feel much doubt and fear. Everyone returned to the headquarter using the return alliance scroll, while all players standing in front of the gates vanished, alongside with players filling the area in front of the headquarter from before.
In mere hours, all the area around the alliance headquarters got emptied by fear and doubt, while Oya left her main players to deal with the chaos inside her alliance players, while she was busy dealing with something else herself.
Many reports came from the depth of the ridge, where many of her NPCs' army was stationed; huge numbers of monsters appeared, and the bad news was these monsters were the vanguard of any monster invasion on their previously destroyed worlds!
"So, it has begun!" Oya muttered, while listening to the reports of Ela and her master. These monsters weren't easy to kill, as they had hard defenses.
If not for the large number of NPCs there, and the swift decision of Ela and her master to regroup them all in one place, they wouldn't be able to secure themselves against them.
The next bad news came from the info Oya heard about these monsters; they could kill the true souls of players! that meant any player killed here would be really killed in reality!
Despite knowing that, she didn't even think about issuing a retreat order! All the time she was only thinking about what Ibro would have done if he was in her place right now! of course that was just a psychological approach of her mind to relieve her stress, make her accept the harsh decision here, but it really helped to calm her down, and make her take the right decision.
