Chapter 86 86. Leaving The Mansion.
With a smile on his face, Kevin replied. "Deal."
He deactivated his (Cubic Fabricated Reality) skill, lowering the cube as Amy dressed up before walking away, her hips swaying with each step she took before shutting her bedroom door behind her.
The sound of the door closing startled Sasha awake as she raised her head from the bed, rubbing the lingering sleep from her eyes before taking a good look at where she was.
Her eyes fell upon Kevin who was seated beside her on the bed while smiling. Her eyes slowly focused on his face after a few seconds.
Sasha glanced around once again and couldn't help but notice that someone wasn't in the room. "Where's Amy?"
"Is the class over already?" She added.
Kevin nodded and replied. "Yes, I think it's high time we leave as well."
Sasha nodded in approval as she slowly stood up from the bed before straightening her clothes, but while she was doing this, a knock sounded on the door and a maid entered the room holding a silver platter with Kevin's clothes which were now dry and neatly ironed placed on it.
"Your clothes sir," The maid offered and Kevin walked over to retrieve his clothes.
"Thank you," He said and the maid responded with a nod and a smile before leaving the room.
Kevin slowly turned to his rear and his gaze clashed with Sasha's, but he cleared his throat while motioning to the clothes he was holding and Sasha instantly understood what he meant.
"Sorry," She quickly apologized with a blush on her cheeks and gave him the space he needed to change his clothes.
Kevin smiled back at her.
Right after he was done, he stepped out of Amy's room and met the maid and Sasha standing right outside.
Sasha turned towards him and asked. "All done?"
"Yes," He replied, checking his body one more time to ensure that he wasn't forgetting anything.
Sasha nodded and turned to the maid.
"Please, follow me," The maid said and both Sasha and Kevin nodded before trailing behind the maid while she showed them how to leave the building.
She also collected the clothes Kevin borrowed for Amy's tutoring.
Upon stepping out of the building and walking towards Kevin's car, Kevin and Sasha were surprised to see the maid walking towards them once again.
But this time around she was holding Sasha's purse. It appeared that Sasha had forgotten her purse in Amy's room when she hurriedly left Kevin in the room to change his clothes.
The maid returned Sasha's purse to her and Sasha expressed her gratitude.
The maid nodded with a smile then turned towards Kevin and curtsied a bit before saying.
"The young miss apologizes for her rudeness earlier and says to remind you that you should not be late tomorrow."
Kevin understood that Amy was apologizing for the water she had splashed on him earlier.
And with a smile on his lips. Kevin replied. "I won't."
The maid raised her head with a smile and nodded in acknowledgement of his words.
Then she slowly walked back into the building with a smile on her face.
She had been smiling ever since Amy asked her to deliver her message.
It was the first time Amy had willingly apologized to someone she had rudely behaved towards.
And since she witnessed this act with her very own eyes, the maid couldn't help but think that Amy was truly growing up to be a fine adult.
Meanwhile, as the maid walked into the building, Sasha couldn't help but stare at Kevin as she took her seat in the car.
Kevin felt as though Sasha would drill a hole in him with her eyes due to the intensity of her staring and he couldn't help but ask with a chuckle. "What's wrong?"
Sasha shook her head with a smile and replied with a question as well. "Just what are you?"
"Um, the last time I checked, I'm pretty sure I'm a human," He chuckled.
Sasha snickered, gently slapping his arm while replying. " I know that, but with what just happened before me, I can't help but think that you're holding out on me. Tell me, what really happened between you and Amy when I left you in front of her room?"
Kevin smiled, inserting the key and starting the car. "I just asked her to give me a chance, that's all."
"Really? That was all you did?" Sasha raised a brow, finding it hard to believe that that was all it took for Amy to allow him to tutor her, but Kevin nodded in response, leaving her to ponder about how he really did it.
'Since he's a professor at the Premier University of Emerald City, I'm not really surprised that it would be difficult to find out what exactly he did.'
'But he might actually be saying the truth.'
'I heard a lot of the professors were really good and devoted to what they do, and what Kevin did today just shows how true those rumors are.'
'However, that won't stop me from finding out how he was able to come to such a compromise with Amy.'
'I also need to know how he felt after tutoring Amy,' Sasha made up her mind and turned towards Kevin, giving in to her curiosity.
"And so, what do you think about Amy? Do you think.....? She was about to ask another question but her stomach rumbled, creating a weird atmosphere between them as Sasha's gaze locked onto his.
Her cheeks slowly turned red and Kevin made a suggestion while trying not to burst into laughter.
"How about we continue the discussion after having dinner?" He asked, still smiling.
"Okay," Sasha muttered, turning her head towards the window to conceal her blush even more.
Kevin smiled and drove away from the mansion, heading towards a fancy restaurant where they could both have dinner together.
Although Sasha would have preferred to have dinner at her place with Kevin, she felt that it might be a bit awkward to suddenly invite him, especially when they weren't that close.
Which is why she made it her mission to get very close to him.
