Chapter 69 69. Sasha Snow.
It's been two weeks since Kevin left Ruby City and arrived at Amber City. After leaving Ruby City, he left a message behind through Dahlia, informing Vanessa and Drake that he would be staying over at a friend's place in Amber City.
To be honest, Kevin hadn't wanted to do this, but he had to keep playing the innocent little Stepson who was completely clueless about the fake relationship between the two of them.
For now, this was the plan until he returned to the City.
Kevin and Victoria had lodged into a hotel and they were currently in their room with Victoria sitting on the bed cross-legged, and several photos of different women were spread out before her.
She and Kevin had been studying and monitoring the people in the photo for the past two weeks now.
They needed to ensure that their plan was foolproof before executing it.
Of course, pictures of Sasha and the pink-haired girl were among the photos on the bed.
Victoria stretched her arm to pick up a photo of Sasha and turned to face Kevin.
"Babe, she's our target today."
"We can't afford to miss this chance."
"All the preparations have been put into place for her arrival today."
"But what if she doesn't come today, wouldn't that mean that we would have to start our plans all over again?" She thought worriedly.
"Babe?" She called out, but Kevin wasn't listening.
"Babe!!"
He had plugged his ear pods into his ears, listening to some good old country music while doing press-ups.
"I know you can hear me," Victoria pouted cutely and folded her arms under her bosom.
"997, 998, 999, 1000." Kevin stood up right after he was done, smiling at Victoria who continued pouting but was now blushing as well.
Her blush deepened as she saw Kevin walking towards her, and she couldn't help herself from staring at his toned body.
For the past two weeks now, Kevin had taken exercising more seriously and Victoria couldn't believe how ripped his body was and how HOT he was now.
Kevin wiped the sweat off his face and noticed her gaze on him. He sighed and threw the towel straight at her face.
"Are you planning to eat me up with your eyes?"
"Is it a crime to stare at my boyfriend?"
Kevin's lips tugged upwards as he came closer, placed his hand on either side of her on the bed and leaned close to her face.
"Don't come any closer with your sweaty body." She said in mock disgust.
Kevin held his chest as he felt an imaginary arrow pierce his heart. "Ouch, are you saying I reek?"
"Well, duh. Now, go get a shower," She tossed his sweat-soaked towel back to him. But then she suddenly recalled something.
"Oh yeah! That reminds me. We have to revise what you're going to do today," She reminded Kevin as he wrapped the towel around his neck while heading straight to the bathroom.
"No need for that babe."
"Really?" Victoria asked worriedly.
"Yeah, trust me. I've got this," He sent a wink her way while standing at the bathroom's entrance.
"Okay, I will," She replied, staring at the other photos on the bed, but then Kevin dragged her attention back to him by asking.
"You coming?"
Victoria smiled and hurriedly followed him into the shower.
Today was going to be a long day as well as the day their long-awaited plan would produce fruitful results.
Well, that was if everything went smoothly.
___
Meanwhile, after stepping out of the Stark mansion, Sasha Snow was taken straight home by the family's driver.
She walked straight to her apartment but suddenly stopped and pondered.
'Should I go in or check it out?'
'The ladies at the gym have been saying a lot of positive things about their services these past few days, and to be honest, I'm kind of interested in seeing what this specific masseur can do."
Today was a Wednesday, and with it being a few minutes to three, she should have been heading to the gym by now but she was now contemplating attending a spa instead.
Going to the gym was her usual routine as she used it to blow off some steam, but today, she was interested in finding out just how good this new but popular masseur was.
'I heard he only stays for a few hours in the spa. I'll have to hurry if I hope to meet him there,'
'It's not like I'm expecting anything special from having a massage but I just want to know how it feels to get a massage after a hard day's work.
'If it doesn't work out, I'll stick to my gym practice.'
'Oh! That reminds me, I need to text my sister,' She suddenly remembered, then slipped her hand into her purse before bringing out her phone and texting Vanessa about her day.
Of course, it had been stressful and exhausting, but Sasha wasn't going to tell her sister that.
Texting her big sister about how her day went, even though she was a twenty-five-year-old adult, might have been a bit weird considering the world around her, but Sasha had learned to just accept it as Vanessa being an overprotective big sister.
Sasha was glad and appreciated the fact that her sister had managed to find her a job as a tutor.
Her net pay as a lecturer in a university that was currently ranked 15th in Amber City was moderate, to say the least, but now that most tertiary institutions were on lock down, she needed to find a temporary source of income.
So, Vanessa introduced her to Brian Stark, a multimillionaire who owned a nightclub and had a daughter with a huge ego.
She was almost eighteen and so believed herself to be an adult.
Sasha's job was to tutor Amy on the one subject, she found difficult, math.
But Amy was a difficult kid to tutor and would always try to make Sasha's life a living hell.
Sasha would have quit if it weren't because the pay was three times her salary as a lecturer.
'But how did big sis come across such a big shot.' She wondered to herself.
