Chapter 111 111. Aptitude Test.
Right after Kevin and his men left the agent house, Wolfgang went ahead to carry out the task he was asked to do while Kevin took the four men with him on his expedition.
Wolfgang made a few calls to some friends of his and Kevin was able to rent a submarine suitable for what the mission entailed.
Kevin wanted this mission to be carried out discreetly with little to no trace of them left behind.
It was currently six in the morning and they've been sailing for hours now, in search for the first cargo ship importing the drug into the City.
They haven't spotted the first ship yet but there was a growing positive feeling in the group that it was only a matter of time before they spot the ship.
In total, there were four ships heading towards the city at the same time and each one of them were coming from different routes to not arouse suspicion.
"Boss, we've spot the first ship," One of his men pointed at the ship spotted in the radar.
Kevin acknowledges it and ordered the men to close the distance between them and the ship a bit before ordering to fire the torpedoes.
"Now!!"
The torpedo was launched and the submarine instantly submerged itself under water while Kevin and the rest watched through the radar as the warhead came into contact with the ship within seconds.
*Boom!!*
The ship exploded to smithereens, leaving no room for the people in the cargo ship to detect the torpedo heading towards their way.
Everyone in the submarine rejoiced at the sight of seeing the ship exploded before them.
Kevin glanced towards the agent whose hands and feet were tied and his lips were taped. He then turned towards his men and ordered them to move to their next target.
With one ship out of the way, it meant there was still three ships to take down before sunset.
But each ships were about three to four hours apart from each other and this meant it wouldn't be easy for them to take them all out before sunset.
Even more so because, there was only one submarine available for their mission.
Kevin let out a sigh and took a seat before glancing towards his phone.
"It seems I might not make it in time to take Amy to the festival," he muttered sadly to himself.
___
Meanwhile, in the Stark's mansion, Amy was getting ready for her aptitude test today before she suddenly heard a knock on her door.
She turned towards the door excitedly, knowing who would be knocking the door at a time like this.
It was Mary.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Miss Amy, your tutor is here for the aptitude test,"
"Come in," Amy responded, knowing she still had five minutes left before the test began. She immediately took her seat in preparation for the test.
But as she turned towards her room door hoping to see both Sasha and Kevin like always, she was surprised to see only Sasha walking in to her room.
"Uh? You came alone? What about the tutor?"
Sasha smiles and replied. "He'll be with us shortly," She assured Amy before taking a seat in preparation for the test.
Kevin informed Sasha last night that he would be going to meet his relatives in preparation for the floating lantern festival that will be taking place later today before midnight.
He messaged her this morning, saying he would try his best to meet up with them while Amy was doing the test later today, but he made it clear, there was also a possibility he won't be able to make it there in time as well.
But Sasha didn't say this to Amy. She wanted her to feel relaxed and focused while having the test.
After all, Amy's success was vital if Kevin is to remain being her tutor.
Once she had taken a seat and had noticed Amy was mentally prepared for the test, she asked. "Are you ready?"
Amy nodded and so, the test began.
The test was a hundred questions and would be needed to be solved between a period of two hours.
And just as Sasha wanted the test to be, she noticed Amy was really focused in answering the questions.
In the next ninety minutes, Amy was done with the test.
"All done," She said, stretching her arm before resting her back on her chair.
" You're done?" Sasha's was surprised by this because Amy still had like thirty minutes left and she wanted her to cross-check her work before submitting but Amy assured her, she had done that a couple of times before finally saying it out loud that she was done.
"Alright, I'll be taking this with me," Sasha took the answer sheet and walked out of Amy's room before being brought into a separate room by Mary where she could mark it in private.
Amy plopped down her bed with her arms and legs unfurled, while staring at the ceiling and mulling over why Kevin had yet to come.
"I was hoping I could see his reaction when he finds out I passed the test," She pouted cutely, before turning to the side and hugging her huge pillow.
The results of the test weren't out yet but Amy was confident she would aced the test and would only deliberately get some questions wrong.
After all, she didn't want Brian Stark to think the questions were too easy for her.
Actually they were, but that's because of the amount of hard work she had in studying for the test.
After about an hour later, Sasha was done with the marking.
Mary approached her, holding a silver platter with a mug containing tea in it.
"Thank you," Sasha received the mug before sipping the tea and resting her back on the chair.
"Are you done? How was it?" Mary asked in anticipation.
Sasha noticed this and placed the mug on the table before responding.
"She passed the test and only got two questions wrong," She replied with pride and joy laced in her voice as she was glad everything turned out great.
