Chapter 103 103. Crimson Gangster.
But as many eyes stared in anticipation of who was actually going to come out of the car, a young man stepped down from the car.
Even under the darkness of the night, his striking red-coloured suit stood out as everyone's gaze fell upon a man with crimson hair, crimson eyes and a crimson goatee beard as well.
Though he might look like he was in his late twenties, his toned biceps and muscles couldn't be concealed completely by the suit.
"This way boss," Wolfgang gestured towards the warehouse and the young man followed right behind him.
The throng of gangsters stared in awe as the sheer aura being emitted by the young man was simply astonishing.
He certainly looked like one who was fit to be in the top five gangster boss ranking of Amber City, but no one had ever seen him before now.
"Do you know him?"
"No, I don't think so."
"And you?"
"Have you seen him before?"
"Nope."
No one knew who he was but everyone wondered if this young man could actually be part of the reason the meeting was set up in the first place.
It would certainly make sense if he was the one who wanted the meeting and not Wolfgang.
Then, it meant that he needed Wolfgang due to his connection to the underground world.
Meanwhile, as Wolfgang continued to lead the way, the eyes looking directly at them were too difficult for him to avoid.
Pretty much everyone, had their eyes set on Kevin, and even though Wolfgang wasn't the center of attention, he still felt like their gaze was going to drill a hole into him.
He also recalled when he met Kevin at their rendezvous point before driving here, Wolfgang had thought that he'd made a mistake in thinking the crimson-haired man was actually Kevin, but Kevin assured him that he was the one.
'I think I can understand why they're all staring at him so much.' Wolfgang mulled.
'He looks fit, rich and someone who could make waves in the underground world.'
'But no one else knows that that's just the weird part, because just a few days ago I could have sworn that he looked a lot younger with brown hair and blue eyes which changed to crimson when he was really angry, so how the h.e.l.l did his appearance change so much?'
'Could this be a part of his ability as an Awakened as well?'
'Well, it has to be. After all, his strength and speed even rival that of an Awakened.'
'I don't think I should be surprised anymore after watching him mutilate my men.'
'But I hope he'll be able to handle the irritating attitude of the four gang bosses waiting for us inside?' Wolfgang hoped to himself as they both stepped into the warehouse.
Although Wolfgang recalled Kevin's hair and eye color correctly, the current change in him was due to the face mask he obtained as a reward for one of his previous quests.
As Kevin and Wolfgang entered the warehouse, their gazes fell upon four men who were sitting on four different sofas with their right-hand men standing behind each of them.
The warehouse had a huge amount of space within it and could allow a lot of people to gather inside it. But because of how serious the meeting was, most of the lackeys and goons were told to wait outside.
The furious expression on their faces wasn't too difficult to discern as they were feeling very irritated after waiting for quite some time.
"Hey!! Wolfgang!! What is the meaning of this?" One of the four bosses growled, his intense glare fixated on both Kevin and Wolfgang.
"The meeting was scheduled for eight in the evening and here you are attending the meeting you set up yourself late. Would you care to explain yourself?" The second boss brought out his pistol, aiming its muzzle at Wolfgang.
The third boss raised a brow at the other two of his colleagues. "Drop your guns. We're all here for the same thing."
Just as the third suggested, the fourth boss who was also the most notorious among the four, harrumphed, bringing their attention to him as he added.
"I agree. We all came here for the Mistletoe you promised us. Now, drop them and let's be on our way, is what I would like to say, but it seems you summoned us here for something else asides from the grams of Mistletoe you promised us."
The fourth gang boss initially thought he was the only one Wolfgang contacted but after seeing everyone else here, he came to the conclusion Wolfgang had something really important to say to bring everyone here.
Although Wolfgang had given Kevin a briefing on how he was able to summon all four of them here, using the lure of the drug they coveted so much to bring them here. With the choking smell of the drug itself all around these guys and the presence of a few white powder residues on the table before them, Kevin could understand why Wolfgang took such measures.
Kevin was even more impressed by how Wolfgang specifically called those who were greedy, even with their own men when it came to mistletoe.
This meant that these guys sitting in front of him would do anything for the drug.
Meanwhile, most of their men standing outside only got to have a little portion of the drug once or twice a week.
The fourth boss furrowed his brows and asked the question on everyone's mind. "So, Wolfgang, who is this man and why have you set up this meeting?"
Wolfgang sensed the tension in the air and the impatient gazes of the other men in the room, so he spoke first.
"He's the one who's here to provide you all with the drug."
The first boss' lips widened into a grin as he leaned forward from his sofa. "Now, you're speaking my language. Why didn't you just say so in the first place? Come now, let's get straight to business, I heard the price you'll be selling it for will be half the market price, is this true?"
