Chapter 100 100. Three Promises 2.
"How did…." Kevin wanted to know how Amy knew that Brian Stark wasn't her dad, but he rephrased his words just before he could utter them because he knew that Amy wouldn't expect him to know the truth about her family.
"What do you mean?"
A big grin appeared on her face as she stepped closer to Kevin, declaring. "Now, it's my turn to give you three options," She proposed, noticing that Kevin seemed to be interested in knowing about her past.
She too would love to know everything about him. Things like his birthday, his favorite meal and most importantly, the kind of women he liked.
But all these things could be asked later. She focused on what was more important and continued.
"But unlike yours, mine would be promises."
"Promises?" Kevin was taken aback. He watched Amy approach him with a seductive smile on her face before standing on her toes and wrapping her arms around his neck to whisper a few words into his ear.
"Three promises to be exact."
"Three?" Kevin repeated.
"Yes, if you manage to take me out to the festival, then I'll promise you my first kiss, my first time and I'll share with you a secret that only a few people know about."
"Oh, and just in case you're wondering, Friday also happens to be my birthday," She added the latter with a giggle.
Amy unwrapped her arm from his neck and looked into his sapphire blue eyes.
"So? Do you agree?"
Kevin knew he could always sleep with her whenever he wanted, but he couldn't deny the fact that he was a bit interested in making Amy's dream come true.
He knew Amy always wanted to get out of the mansion, and she had been interested in him ever since he turned the scenery of her room into the front gate of the mansion.
Even though she hadn't really been outside the mansion, the fresh air that had caressed her skin, coupled with the cold steel she felt, made it seem like her dream of leaving the mansion had finally come true.
Kevin wanted Amy as his woman and if there was anything he wanted his women to feel when they thought of him or when they were around him, it was for them to be happy even with the mere thought of his name.
He could also feel that Amy wanted the night of the floating lantern festival to be a special night for her and that was what he was going to do.
He was also interested in finding out how she knew about her parents' death. He took a mental note of all this and nodded to Amy, accepting the deal and she leaned towards his cheek to plant a kiss on it before whispering. "Thank you."
Kevin smiled before staring into the horizon as though he was seeing something Amy couldn't.
"What is it?" Amy asked worriedly.
"I think it's time we returned to your room." He replied, caressing her cheeks and playing with her ears.
Amy smiled and nodded in understanding, though she was sad because she knew that he would be leaving her soon and she was already missing him even though he was still standing before her.
Meanwhile, Mary walked out of her room, and hurriedly headed towards Amy's room.
She had been expecting the tutor to walk out of the room for about half an hour already.
Amy's class was supposed to be over by now, but Mary assumed that they were too busy to notice that their time was up, so she decided to give them a few minutes to wrap up whatever they were doing.
But as ten minutes, fifteen and even thirty minutes passed, Mary feared that they might actually be asleep, not knowing that class was over, so she rushed towards Amy's room.
Of course, the thought of the two of them doing something indecent came to mind but she swiftly brushed it off, as no one would brazenly think of committing such a drastic offence unless they were intentionally hoping for their heads and their little brother to be chopped off.
Still, Mary couldn't shake off the feeling of foreboding she had been having for quite some time.
Her pace quickened as she finally approached Amy's room.
*Knock* *Knock*
She knocked on Amy's door, hoping to hear a reply from the other side of the room.
"Miss Amy, it's Mary, may I come in?"
"Come in."
Mary sighed in relief that Amy was still awake. She opened the door and noticed Amy staring at the work in front of her.
"What is it, Mary?" Amy asked, her voice stern as though she had been interrupted after being on the brink of finding a solution to the question in front of her.
She didn't shift her gaze towards Mary but instead, she remained fixated on the questions before her.
'It seems Miss Amy is still busy with the questions she was asked to solve,' Mary thought to herself, not knowing that Amy was actually pretending.
"Miss, your class was meant to be over half an hour ago," Mary replied, before noticing how Amy's eyes flew wide open in surprise.
"Really?!" Amy exclaimed, stretching her arm to grab her phone before taking a look at the time.
"You're right," Amy rubbed her forehead before resting her back on her chair.
"I can't believe I lost track of time," Amy said, stretching her body before turning towards Kevin who was pretending to be asleep on the desk adjacent to hers.
"Please wake the tutor up."
Mary nodded and turned towards the desk where she placed the silver platter containing the snacks and mugs, and her eyes fell on Kevin who was asleep on the desk.
'I think he fell asleep after waiting for Miss Amy to complete her questions.' Mary thought to herself.
'It seems I was right all along.'
Mary was relieved that her initial thoughts were right concerning her assumption that they were asleep or too focused on what they were doing to notice the time. She was pleased to see neither of them doing something they shouldn't be doing.
