Chapter 939 Involvement of divinities

The hall was designed to be like an indoor coliseum, a hall that had seats all around it in a spherical manner.
There was a certain distance between all the seats and there were steps on certain distances in the hall.
'Hide yourself, Lucy.'
[{ *Understood, master.* }]
The ceiling had lights for most parts and for the rest, it was just dark.
A lot of things in here were controlled with magic, artifacts, and magic engineered devices.
The ceiling as they all had seen until now was clear, just like any hall ceiling that they would know about. There was nothing special about this ceiling until now, at the very least, there was nothing special until the headmaster looked up, and the rest of them followed their gazes…
[{ "What do you see, Rein?" }]
Eon was looking up, and even though he did not want to, his eyes had turned blue.
He was seeing something that should not have been present here, at least not like this.
[{ "I'm seeing something crazy, darling… there are eyes…in the sky." }]

He could tell whatever she was seeing was not something she could put into words. There were a lot of things wrong here, and as someone who could see the true nature of all things, this must be something even more absurd for her than it was for him.
[{ "Do you wanna see it…?" }]
[{ "Yes, please…" }]
He was holding her hand earlier, but now that they were looking at these… things, he wanted to see them as they were instead of with his eyes that could not understand them and was showing them to him the best way he could interpret them– as lines. Very, very complex bunch of lines.
He instinctively knew what he was looking at, but it was just too unbelievable so, he wanted to see the truth that she was seeing through her eyes.
-Ooooooooong.
So, he just cast his Solnova spell, something that caught the attention of some of the people in the conference, and after a moment, he was seeing what she was seeing.
[{ "Damn…" }]
And this was even more absurd.
[{( One understands why one was being so insistent. )}]
There were eyes on the ceiling that had now turned into an endless starry space. Unique eyes that did not belong to mortals.
[{( I sense something pure within that corrupt person… this does not make any sense. )}]
These eyes were speaking, looking at everything and everyone present in this conference hall as well as in many different places around the world.
They were not mortals– these eyes that they were seeing right now were the manifestations of the divine bodies of the beings that had graced them all with their direct gazes.
[{( What is happening here, we do not understand. One must find the answer, the question is deep. )}]
There were nine of them.
And, even though they were using their true voices, no one was affected by them.
It seemed like everyone was frozen still in their place, only a few of the people present could move in any manner or perceive anything happening there.
Even Rein and Eon were frozen by an unknown power. At least though, they were able to use their powers and energy.
That was enough for now…
[{( This is not related to us. We have nothing to do with this. )}]
[{( WE will have to check that for ourselves. )}]
They were not like Wali and her partner, they were not like the Keeper, and they were not like the ancient tree, or that unique divine being they met on the outskirts until now.
As someone who had seen the true form of a divine being, Eon could tell these beings, these individuals present here right now were, in fact, the divinites that people long the attention of…
"I request the Masters and Guardians' close attention on this matter."
The headmaster was the only person present here that could move and speak freely.
It did not seem like his movements were restricted in any manner. He was free, and he was looking directly in the eyes of the EYES that were looking down at the rest of them.
[{( I would like to analyse that corrupted being. )}]
There were nine of the eyes. Six of them seemed to belong to certain creatures while the rest of the three belonged to different concepts that made these divinities.
"That would be appreciated…"
As Rein was seeing, the eye that had moved to the front was a blazing flame. A flame so strong it reminded Eon of the true form of his master.
But this eye did not contain as much wisdom as his master's unique eyes did in her true form.
There was a different eye that had that kind of vast wisdom, one which resembled the vast earth and seemed to be representative of this very earth.
There was a gentleness in this eye that was unlike any other 'Gaze' any individual seeing this had ever encountered.
[{( Seeing a corrupt being that could hide its existence this well is strange, however, for one to have such sanity that it sat through this entire conference without reacting to any of the information on these 'evil' demonic cultists produces a new question. )}]
From what the two of them could understand, it was obvious that THEY had seen and observed everything that had happened in this conference.
The ring that was around the Corrupted person was only blocking it from using its power. When looking through Rein's vision, Eon also found out this ring was connected to the White eye that seemed to be the purest one among them.
And, seeing this reminded him of what the headmaster had addressed these beings as…
[{ "They are [< Masters >] and three great [Guardians] Rein. And the representatives of the lords and the temple gods." }]
[{ "They are divine beasts…?" }]
[{ "Yeah… I believe." }]
The divine beasts that laid the foundations of the island of magic's wealth… not all of them are around anymore, but their descents have kept the roles of their forefathers.
Only one of the eyes, the eldest of the divine beasts, had been around since the time his master taught them a few things.
The Divine world turtle, one of the oldest existences of this world, someone who used to be the youngest back when his master taught the original founders.
The purest of white must be the Divine Unicorn, the blazing one should belong to the decedent of the Phoenix that founded Eon's house, and the strongest gaze of them that was unrelated to any power, authority, or age belonged to the founder of the house that had been considered the strongest for a very long time, the Gaze of the Divine Dragon.
The representative of the Gods was ironically the Goddess of Justice, and the representative of the Lords must be the most recently ascended individual that even Eon did not know much about.
Aside from the two of them, the rest of the three eyes belonged to the Three great [Guardians] that maintain the eternal equilibrium of this world and protect it from the outer threats.
[{ "This really is beyond us, Rein." }]
[{ "I understand why he did not want us to bother with this matter… like damn… there are NINE OF THEM!" }]
If she could, she would shout her lungs out.
This matter was the most unbelievable for her, not because she could see what others could not, but because of her eternal admiration for those higher beings.
She respected the Authority that was granted by Nature, the truest form of power that one could not obtain with any kind of method.
All who possessed this power, this proof, had done something to earn it. And as the person who could see it all, see the height of that power, she could not help but admire it.
[{( Hmmm… this is strange. )}]
There was a red ball of light circling around the corrupted being that had stopped moving when they revealed themselves.
[{( The power hiding this corruption… it is not of divine nature. )}]
"..."
The voice that seemed to belong to the phoenix descendent confused the fellow divinities instead of surprising them or shocking them like it did to the headmaster.
[{( Does one mean a power with a certain origin holds the ability to hide and aid Corruption? )}]
The eldest one questioned the revealer of the new information… However, the phoenix voice did not confirm it until the sphere of red light around the individual extinguished completely.
[{( Yes. I am certain. In fact… I believe we will have to discuss this matter separately. )}]
There was a certain kind of confusion in this rather young voice.
Yet, the rest of them agreed to it as if it was natural for the rest of them…
[{( Very well then. )}]
The elder's eye looked at the rest of the eyes and discussed something internally before looking back down at the rest of them.
[{( Merlin, seems like one would have to take this one away from here for the time being. )}]
"I understand, Elder Master."
The headmaster bowed at them respectfully, and the individual suddenly vanished with a unique green light.
[{( The children one assigned this 'presentation' to. )}]
Then the elder eye looked at the rest of the conference and mainly, at the two who were looking back at them.
[{( Indeed… )}]
Then, the rest of the eyes also gazed into the same direction as THEM.
[{( They are interesting… )}]
Before THEY vanished, a unique shiver ran down both of their spines multiple times, and each one of them was unique from the other.
[{ *Master…* }]
'I know.'
They knew THEY were checking them out in their own unique manner with their own unique powers, and he knew they were going to do it ever since they revealed their existence to them.
His unique mind might be something easily penetrable for them, but it most certainly was not something they can see through easily with Lucy in their way.
And, he did not want them, or anyone else, to know about her unnecessarily just yet…
-Oooooooooooong!
[{( You shall continue, Merlin. )}]
"Yes, Lord Guardian."
All nine of the eyes vanished, and the ceiling returned to normal.
The people present here were freed from the irresistible power freezing them.
And soon… Chaos broke out in the Conference.
