Chapter 390: Chapter 397 What the hell is Demacia? (Fourth Update)
“Not a good bird?” Yang Zhen was taken aback: “What sort of bird is it if it’s not deemed a good one?”
The Scoundrel Cat’s eyes shimmered with a mischievous delight as it asked Yang Zhen, Do you still remember the Shanggeng Secret Clan?”
“Of course I remember the Shanggeng Secret Clan. The Sinful Clan in the Forbidden Land of Life?” Yang Zhen was confused again: “What’s the connection between the Sinful Clan and Elder Gu?”
“The Sinful Clan and the Ancient tribe both belonged to the Shanggeng era,” Hua Youyue spoke up, her brows furrowed, “But Elder Gu is likely an offshoot of humanity.”
Humans have a different branch?”
After hearing this, the surrounding group of people eagerly gathered closer. They had not heard of these species being part of the Shanggeng era. Plus, aren’t all humans part of the same species? What branches could there be? Immortal Old Ghost Hei and Immortal Shang Yao and other powerful individuals who were at the Tribulation Crossing Period had also paused, their faces filled with curiosity as they watched Hua Youyue and Scoundrel Cat.
Yang Zhen curiously looked at Hua Youyue, it appeared she had thought of something else.
Hua Youyue took no notice of the inquisitive expressions around her, and speaking to Yang Zhen, she said, ”1 can only remember that much. During the Shanggeng era, tribes were thriving. It was a tumultuous time, but I don’t have any clear memories of what happened.”
Yang Zhen turned his gaze to Scoundrel Cat. The cat was surprised before it confessed, “Don’t look at me, I don’t know either. I was always in a state of chaos at that time. How could I remember so much?”
“So you were saying Elder Gu isn’t some ‘good bird’?” Yang Zhen asked irritably. Scoundrel Cat chuckled, saying, “Which one of the myriad of tribes in the Shanggeng era could be deemed as ‘good birds’? Wait till you see the Elder Gu for yourself, they’re strong yet simple-minded creatures who think they’ve been chosen by destiny. They look down on all other clans.”
Yang Zhen looked on, dumbfounded, finally he curiously asked, “Are there people even more flamboyant than I, the Sao Saint?”
“So flamboyant it shoots through the roof!” Scoundrel Cat’s eyes sparkled with an overwhelming excitement as if it was about to see Elder Gu, and thus it became exceptionally excited.
Old Ghost Hei and Shang Yao exchanged glances and nodded, saying, “This cat does make sense. The Elder Gu indeed….”
“Old man, have you lost your mind? In which eye do you see me as a cat?” Scoundrel Cat stared wide-eyed, its hands on its hips and its teeth showing, clearly irritated.
Old Ghost Hei blinked and looked confusedly at Yang Zhen, “If… I’m not wrong with my two eyes, this… isn’t it a cat, it’s… a tiger?”
“I’m a kylin, do you understand? Damn it, old fool. You should count yourself lucky. If this was the old me, I would have slapped you flying already.” Old Ghost Hei darkened his face, his body suddenly bristling with lethal intensity.
Scoundrel Cat shrunk behind Yang Zhen and said, “Nevermind, I won’t stoop to your level.”
Shang Yao stared at Yang Zhen and Scoundrel Cat, a curious expression on his face. Suddenly, he exclaimed, “Are you Yang Zhen?”
“What?” Old Ghost Hei jumped in shock, stared at Yang Zhen in disbelief, and asked, “You are Yang Zhen? But, did you… did you cross the tribulation?”
Yang Zhen was pleasantly surprised to learn that his esteemed name had become so influential. Showing a modest smile, he asked respectfully, “Yes, it’s… me. By the way, what is this forbidden seal that you elders say Elder Gu is going to activate?”
Old Ghost Hei and Shang Yao exchanged looks, forced a smile and said to Yang Zhen, “Young friend Yang is truly a rare genius. To achieve the tribulation so quickly, you must have received a revelation from the natural forces. Congratulations.”
Upon hearing Old Ghost Hei’s words, the expressions on everyone’s faces were rather strange. They wondered what would be the reaction of Old Ghost Hei and Shang Yao when they found out that Yang Zhen not only abandoned the Heavenly Tribulation Origin, but also discarded two clusters of it.
Even up to that moment, many people hadn’t fully processed the fact that Yang Zhen had managed to blast apart the Heavenly Ghost Tribulation Cloud so effortlessly.
At this moment, Old Ghost Hei continued, “The Elder Gu are extremely conceited and arrogant, but their strength remains irrefutable. They… said they’d be activating a heritage seal, which apparently had something to do with the Ancient tribe. It all supposedly takes place in the desolate North Garden Ice Cave. We all initially thought they were bluffing but in a short period, they stirred up such an uproar.”
A heritage seal of the Ancient tribe!
Upon hearing this, everyone present showed signs of desiring it.
Ancient heritages always brought greater gains, and it was amongst many of these heritages that people hardly heard about those from Shanggeng’s era, and even if there were, those present couldn’t aspire to them.
It could indeed be said that this heritage was the only one they were certain belonged to the Shanggeng era. How could they not crave it?
However, dealing with the Ancient Tribe was not easy, which is why everyone there decided to band together and head over together.
“Where do these Ancient tribes actually hail from?” Yang Zhen suddenly asked.
The color drained from Old Ghost Hei’s face. It was as if he had recalled something, and he gasped, “Could the legends be true?”
“What legend?” The curious crowd asked.
Old Ghost Hei looked horrified and muttered, “When ancient tribes awaken from their slumber, heaven and earth will once again enter a period of catastrophe.”
“Ancient tribes… perspective from Elder Gu?” Yue Yufeng suddenly cried out, “I have also heard of this legend, I didn’t think it was actually true. Not good, I’ve just remembered something else! The rumors say after the restraints of Heaven and Earth are destroyed, the signs that disaster is to begin will. ..”
Having said this, Yue Yufeng suddenly turned to look at Yang Zhen, the expression on her face filled with apprehension. She anxiously asked, “Yang Zhen, what did you see exactly when the constraints of Heaven and Earth were broken? This concerns the entire Heaven and Earth. We hope you haven’t omitted anything.”
Yang Zhen looked at everyone in disbelief, took a deep breath and said, “Alright then, since it’s come to this, Sao Saint will no longer hide anything.”
He continued, speaking slowly amidst a curious crowd whose eyes were wide and necks craned in anticipation, “When I broke the shackles of Heaven and Earth, Sao Saint did see some things. However, these things don’t have much to do with your so-called Ancient tribe and the legends.”
“Then what did you see?” Scoundrel Cat curiously asked.
Yang Zhen, wearing a strange expression, looked at the crowd of curious people and said, “A group of people were kneeling in front of an ice sculpture. They were praying and crying, shouting something – ‘Long live Demacia!”‘
Crowd:”???”
Long live Demacia?
Scoundrel Cat looked at Yang Zhen with an expression that seemed to say ‘I don’t believe you.’ It asked suspiciously, “Did you mishear?”
“No, that’s exactly what they said!” Yang Zhen was dumbfounded. He wondered if those people had crossed over from another universe shouting, ‘Long live Demacia!’ He himself had sided with the Horde!
If those people had shouted “For the Horde,” Yang Zhen would have found it more plausible. But what the hell was Demacia?
Everyone looked at Yang Zhen with disgruntled expressions, especially Yue Yufeng, who coldly huffed and said, “Yang Zhen, even if you don’t want to tell us, you don’t have to come up with such a ludicrous story, do you?”
“Believe it or don’t!” Yang Zhen retorted, rolling his eyes.
“You ”
Suddenly, Hua Youyue murmured something in a strange ancient language, “Dema Lija Abranos!”
Upon hearing this strange tuning, Scoundrel Cat’s body jolted, “Ancient tongue, open the heavens!”
