Chapter 201 - Enticing Rewards
After killing the wounded Level Two zombie, Nile and his pets immediately left the area.
They slowed down their travel after knowing that they couldn't fully rely on the System Map function anymore.
Although it was still a good function, Nile knew that its limitation of only being able to detect moving targets, as well as those visible around him can be fatal to them. Sooner or later, if he still relied on it, he knew that it can cause their demise.
Sitting atop Maximo's broad back, Nile keeps tabs on the System Map as well as his surrounding area. He made sure to not let anything escape from his sight and System Map.
Croco and Maximo did the same, they alertly scan their surroundings, afraid of being ambushed.
Still, their speed was faster than normal.
Based on the System Map, their position was still in the northern part of Daan.
After knowing that there exists a Level Three hybrid at the center of the town- the Town Hall, Nile altered his plans and planned to accumulate points at the outskirts to level up.
The Level Three zombie was also a problem he needed to lookout. It was unfortunate that he didn't have a clear knowledge of its position, or else he would surely avoid that area as much as possible.
His current stats points are now at 27.175 while his apocalypse points are now over a thousand- 1089.5. It was still far from 1500, the price of the peak level two weapon, Guns In One.
However, after thinking about it, he figured he really doesn't need such a weapon for now. Still, he decided to accumulate his apocalypse points for now and spend them at the right time.
On the other hand, he also realized that some of his talents had become useless due to the instant adapter he acquired not too long ago.
With the instant adapter, he could basically become a master of any situation. Hence, he asked the System if he could sell it for apocalypse points?
The System replied that such functions don't exist. However, it did tell him that he could combine all the level one talents and then merge them to the instant adapter talent to strengthen it.
The Nile didn't linger any longer and did what the System had said.
The peak level two talent now has a '+' sign beside its name- meaning it was strengthened.
He also sold the two swords so his stats profile now looks clean with only one weapon and one talent listed to it.

As he was sorting out his stats profile, Nile suddenly saw two gray dots on the far end of the System Map.
He wanted to avoid them at first, but he realized that he shouldn't do it. First, he already set that area as his destination- northeast of the town Daan. He could not turn around and go to the northwest side of the town of Daan just for two gray dots right?
Not to mention it was a hassle, he had also been to that area before. The mere thought of those dozens of level two zombies of that area still terrified him.
He wanted to kill them and obtain their apocalypse virus, but he knew that he would only court his death if he did so.
Hence, he decided to continue with his initial plan, even if he did encounter the two gray dots, he would not mind them as long as they won't find problems with him.
However, he didn't go there immediately, he didn't come to this town to meet survivors, instead, he came here in search of zombies to kill.
And with that, he heard Maximo and Croco growling, with the earrings of loyalty, they transmitted their thoughts to the Nile.
They found a target.
…
Outskirts, northeast part of the town of Daan.
Two figures donning the same outfit could be seen walking side by side. They wore a long black coat and brown cowboy hats with a pink bandana tied to them.
The two of them were a member of the Pink Surge faction situated at the east side of the town of Daan.
The two of them- Burge and Damian were tasked to go to the northern part of the town of Daan and search for the Beheader there.
The two of them were best friends, before the apocalypse and even now. Their bonds become tighter after fighting zombies side by side for the past two months.
At first, killing zombies at that time was pretty easy. It was only when a week had passed since the outbreak that they encountered a strong zombie.
The two of them were bouncers of a popular clubhouse operating in the town of Daan. Their friendship has started there.
At that time, easy to kill and weak zombies were everywhere but they still felt that death was only behind them as they forcefully break away from that clubhouse.
They then meet an acquaintance, a person that was always present in the clubhouse every night- the Pink Surge Faction leader.
The leader invited them to join the Pink Faction, promising them that their freedom wouldn't be restricted. The leader even taught them how to level up.
After a month, the two of them become level two humans. They are now part of the upper echelon of the Pink Surge Faction.
Ever since becoming level two, the two of them felt that leveling had become harder.
Not to mention the low amount of apocalypse virus, their absorption speed had also become slower.
Even if what they are consuming is a level two apocalypse virus, they still felt that they are already nearing their limit. Not to mention, the apocalypse virus of such levels is hard to come by.
They need to coordinate with the other level two members just kill a level two zombie, and the reward- the level two apocalypse virus would then be split equally among the participants.
However, at this time, the leader promised that whoever found the Beheader, killed or not, will have an entire level two apocalypse virus as a reward.
