I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 925: Accomodation

Chapter 925: Accomodation

Yuga followed Chatot into the gym, and the bird proceeded to tell Yuga everything that had happened inside the gym.

When Yuga entered the backyard of the gym, he saw a man lying on the ground, beaten and unconscious, with a large Great Flygon guarding him.

He turned his head to Chatot and asked, "Are Zoroark and Liepard okay?"

Chatot wasn't entirely sure but replied, "It seems like they're fine. My Kitty-chan, has taken them to find a Pokémon Center."

Yuga sighed with relief. He hadn't expected Zorua to escape from the Ecopark and evolve into Zoroark in the outside, let alone be targeted by someone.

Fortunately, nothing serious had happened this time, but Yuga realized he needed to teach Zoroark about crisis awareness.

But setting that aside for now, Yuga instructed Chatot, "Go to the police station and bring Liliana here."

Liliana was familiar with the Pokémon of YoYo Day Care and the Verdanturf Gym. She often visited, and Chatot also quiet familiar with her. He even had teased her when they were first met, though it once almost resulted in Liliana giving the bird a good smack.

Chatot nodded at Yuga's instructions and flew off towards the police station. After about fifteen minutes, Liliana arrived with two police officers in tow.

On her way, Chatot had briefed Liliana on the situation, so as soon as she entered the gym, she asked Yuga, "Where is the man?"

Yuga led Liliana to the backyard of the gym. The man had briefly regained consciousness during the journey but was swiftly knocked unconscious by the Great Flygon.

"This man not only intended to steal my Pokémon but also harm them. I believe his actions should be dealt with seriously," Yuga said, pointing to the unconscious culprit, Wisecat.

Liliana was momentarily taken aback but quickly understood Yuga's intentions. Whether Wisecat's crimes were significant or minor, it was within Yuga's power to decide, and Liliana was willing to cooperate with him.

"This man should spend a lifetime behind bars," Liliana concurred.

Yuga and Liliana agreed on the course of action. Wisecat's fate was sealed, and it appeared that he would be spending a long time in jail.

Seeing that Liliana understood his words, Yuga nodded and didn't say much more. He watched as the two police officers carried the unconscious Wisecat out of the Verdanturf Gym.

Yuga didn't necessarily want to harm this man, but since he now knew about Zoroark, simply letting him go would bring potential trouble. Yuga wasn't in a position where he couldn't protect even a Zoroark, but no one liked unnecessary trouble. Some people were like flies - once they stuck to you, it was hard to get rid of them, and they were quite annoying.

Before Liliana left, Yuga stopped her and said, "I hope that what he said about my Pokémon won't spread."

Liliana nodded, assuring Yuga that she would make sure the man kept quiet. If she couldn't handle such a small matter, her two years as the police station chief would have been in vain.

Yuga and Liliana had known each other for a long time, and they had some unspoken understanding. Yuga trusted her, and when she gave her assurance, he knew the matter was settled.

After Liliana left, Yuga returned to the Ecopark.

By the time he got back, both Liepard and Zoroark had awakened. Just as Chatot had said, after receiving treatment from the Pokémon Center, they didn't have any major issues physically. However, Zoroark's younger sister had suffered some psychological trauma.

Originally, Yuga had planned to have a serious talk with Zoroark's younger sister, but when he saw her waking up and her mother, Zoroark, scolding her with tears in her eyes, he decided to let it go. After this incident, he believed Zoroark's younger sister wouldn't act so recklessly in the future.

He spent some time talking with the frightened Zoroark's younger sister and then left the Ecopark. The business in the YoYo Day Care was booming, and he didn't have the time to stay with them constantly.

When he returned to the New Store, his aunt told him that Eisuke and Little Drew had already left, leaving messages that they would visit again another day.

Since Eisuke and Little Drew had already left, Yuga didn't stay long at the New Store. He headed back to the old store. However, as he reached the entrance of the old store, he saw two people approaching him, and upon a closer look, he realized it was Robert and his cousin, Kris.

Yuga wondered why everyone cousin had gathered here today. Just as he was pondering, Robert saw him and exclaimed happily, "Perfect timing, we were just looking for you."

Kris, upon seeing Yuga, excitedly rushed up to him and said, "Yuga, it's been so long!"

Yuga nodded and asked, "Yeah, when did you arrive?"

Kris grinned and replied, "I just got here today. As soon as I settled down, I came to see you. Isn't that considerate enough?"

Yuga looked at her with a teasing expression and said, "Hey, hey, don't try to deceive me. Didn't I hear your cousin say that you both came here for something?"

Kris stuck out her tongue and then laughed, saying, "Well, you caught me. I thought I could save face!"

She patted Yuga's shoulder playfully.

"You weren't like this before. Where have you been all this time? You mentioned you wanted to become a Trainer Coordinator like your cousin, but I haven't seen you in any Pokémon Contest competitions," Yuga asked, puzzled.

Kris replied mysteriously, "I did become a Trainer Coordinator, but I went to train in Kalos. They have a competition there that's quite similar to the Pokémon Contest, and it's very popular. I went there to gain experience. I've come back after intensive training, and now I'm a completely different person. This time, I'm determined to shine at the Wallace Cup and win the championship!"

Yuga couldn't help but chuckle. "Hey, hey, saying that in front of your cousin sounds quite arrogant, you know. He's a top level Trainer Coordinator who has won Pokémon Contest Grand Festival. He's also competing in this year's event!"

Kris laughed and replied, "Well, I have to aim high, right? He's been my role model, and I want to challenge him now!"

Yuga shook his head and said, "Alright, alright, you're quite ambitious. It's good to have goals. Let's go inside, and you can tell me more about your training and plans."

As they entered the store, the cousins continued their lively conversation, catching up on what had happened during Kris's training in Kalos.

Kris said with a serious expression, "A Trainer Coordinator who doesn't aim to be the champion isn't a good Trainer Coordinator! I've worked hard in the Kalos region, and not winning the championship would be a disservice to all the sweat I've shed."

Robert, hearing this, couldn't help but shake his head in amusement. Kris had said this kind of thing many times before, and he had become immune to her passionate declarations. He simply chose to ignore her.

Yuga chimed in, "Oh, you're talking about the Pokémon Showcase in the Kalos region, right?"

Kris responded, "Wow, you know about it too? I didn't expect you to be so well-informed."

Yuga shrugged and said, "I've been to Kalos at least. Such a famous competition is hard to miss. Anyway, you mentioned you have something to discuss with me? What is it?"

Robert explained, "We'd like to borrow your Gym to adjust ourselves and our Pokémon's condition before the competition starts."

Robert was quite well-known in the area, and with the Wallace Cup participants all around town, he would be easily recognized if he trained outside. Yuga chuckled and replied, "Oh, you don't need to borrow it; you can stay there as long as you like. In fact, you can stay at the Gym. It's perfect for your training. By the way, Kris, have you found a place to stay since you just arrived? just live in the gym like Robert too"

Kris eagerly responded, "Really? That's fantastic! I arrived late, and I was worried about accommodations. Thank you so much!"

Yuga reassured her, "It's no problem at all. Your parents took good care of us back in Lilycove City when we were there. Finding a place to stay is a small matter. Don't worry."

With Yuga's help, Kris happily retrieved her luggage and moved into one of the guest rooms at the Verdanturf Gym, ready to prepare for the upcoming competition.
