Chapter 221: Fierce Rival Cynthia

As time flew by during Yuga and the others' fishing, evening approached, and a lush green island came into view.

"Lily of the Valley Island is almost here. Get ready to disembark," Grandpa Julian's voice came through.

"Got it!" Yuga and Reggie replied loudly after packing up their things.

From a distance, Yuga and the others could see a bustling crowd of people coming and going at the Lily of the Valley Island pier. Despite being evening, there was no shortage of people.

After disembarking, Grandpa Julian said to Reggie and the others, "I'll come pick you up again once the Lily of the Valley Conference is over." With that, he sailed away.

"Take care on the journey, Grandpa Julian!" Reggie waved and shouted.

Walking on the streets of Lily of the Valley Island, they encountered many trainers with their Pokémon and vendors selling their wares. The island was lively and bustling.

Although the Lily of the Valley Conference was still several days away, most trainers, tourists, and vendors had already arrived, causing the island to be overflowing with people.

"We should first go to the Pokémon Center to register. Once we register, we'll receive the keys to our accommodations in the player's village. Otherwise, we might end up sleeping on the streets tonight," Reggie suggested.

Arriving at the Pokémon Center, they found a long queue at the registration desk. Reggie stood in line for nearly half an hour before reaching Nurse Joy.

Reggie's identification was different from the one obtained from the professor; it was a unique trainer's ID, similar to an ID card in Yuga's past life. This ID was automatically issued when you registered as a league trainer.

The one from the professor was more advanced, not only serving as identification but also symbolizing the identity of a descendant of the league's main line. Holders of this ID received special treatment when staying and dining at places like the Pokémon Center.

Though Reggie's parents were already part of the league's main line of trainers, Reggie hadn't yet switched to that status due to his early debut.

"Very well, please leave it with me," Nurse Joy took Reggie's badge and identification, then scanned them under the scanning device, confirming Reggie's identity and the authenticity of the badge. Registration was completed smoothly.

"Welcome to the player's village. Here's your room key." Nurse Joy returned Reggie's badge and identification with a smile and handed him his room key.

"Thank you, Nurse Joy." Reggie accepted the items, expressing his gratitude with a smile.

Next, Reggie led Yuga and the others to the player's dormitory.

The player's dormitories for the league tournament allowed friends and family members accompanying the participants to stay with them. This way, Yuga and Paul wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to stay.

Following the room number on Reggie's key card, they quickly found their room.

"Yuga, you're here!"

As Yuga and the others prepared to enter the room, a voice sounded nearby.

"Flint! Volkner!"

Turning his head, Yuga saw Flint and Volkner standing side by side.

"Why did you arrive so slowly?" Flint rushed over and hugged Yuga, then looked at Reggie beside him. "Is this your friend?"

"Yes, this is my friend, Reggie." Yuga introduced, "Reggie, this is Flint and Volkner, also my friends."

"Hello!"

"Hello!"

"Hello!"

All three of them exchanged greetings with each other.

"This time, the three of you are all participants, but you're also each other's opponents," Yuga said with a smile.

"Even if we know each other, I'll still give it my all," Flint said confidently.

Volkner looked at Flint's confident smile and shook its head without saying a word.

"That's the spirit! I'll give it my all too," Reggie also said with a smile.

"Is this your room?" Volkner pointed to the door in front of Yuga and the others.

"Yes, what about you?" Yuga asked.

"It's quite a coincidence, we're staying right next to you. Three doors down," Flint laughed heartily, using the term "next door" several times.

Following Flint's gesture, Yuga looked at the room next to theirs and said, "That's indeed very close."

After settling in their room, Yuga and the others joined Flint and Volkner at the Pokémon Center for dinner.

"I didn't expect the official tournament to be so generous. Even the food is delicious and looks quite high-end."

Inside the Pokémon Center, Flint spoke while eating heartily.

Yuga and the others shook their heads and smiled. Flint's eating style was quite embarrassing, and even his partner Volkner couldn't bear to watch.

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Yuga noticed a figure with blond hair entering the Pokémon Center. He turned his head to take a look.

Cynthia!

Yuga immediately recognized the female champion who was extremely popular in the original storyline. Although she appeared younger now, her appearance hadn't changed much.

Perhaps Yuga had been lost in thought for too long. Flint, sitting across from him, nudged his hand with his cutlery and teased, "What's wrong? Have you taken a liking to someone?"

Hearing Flint's voice, Yuga snapped back to reality, shook his head with a smile, and said, "No."

Flint grinned mischievously, "There's no need to be embarrassed. She's indeed very beautiful. But let me advise you, if you're interested in her, you better give up."

After Cynthia entered the Pokémon Center, like Yuga and the others, she ordered some food, found a seat, and started eating.
