I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 208: Flint and Volkner

Chapter 208: Flint and Volkner

Yuga, accompanied by Chatot and Noctowl, arrived at the Pokémon Center in Jubilife City, planning to stay for the night.

Upon entering the Pokémon Center, Yuga noticed that the Pokémon Center in Sinnoh was no different from the one in Hoenn; the facilities and environment were quite similar.

Upon entering, he heard the TV in the Pokémon Center broadcasting a voice.

"Recently, the annual Sinnoh Lily of the Valley Conference is about to take place on Lily of the Valley Island. Trainers from all over are now starting to flock to the island..."

It seemed that the upcoming Lily of the Valley Conference had stirred up the entire atmosphere of Sinnoh.

People inside the Pokémon Center were also engaged in lively discussions about the Lily of the Valley Conference.

After registering his accommodation with Nurse Joy, Yuga ordered some food in the Pokémon Center's lobby and sat down.

At that moment, Yuga suddenly noticed a red-haired young man and a yellow, spiky-haired youth entering the Pokémon Center.

Flint and Volkner?

Yuga was acquainted with these two individuals. One was Sinnoh's future Fire-type Elite Four, and the other was the strongest Gym Trainer in Sinnoh. He wondered why they were here.

The two of them also registered their accommodation with Nurse Joy and then left the lobby of the Pokémon Center.

Yuga didn't pay too much attention to them and continued to eat his food.

Although he didn't have much time to explore Jubilife City, enjoying a meal while looking out the window at the bustling city was a pleasant experience for Yuga.

As the owner of a Day Care, Yuga usually didn't have the time, like other Trainers, to embark on adventurous journeys to various places in the Pokémon world, experiencing its splendor and magic. However, occasionally coming to a new city like this, being able to pause and quietly feel the local atmosphere was a different kind of enjoyment.

Through the window of the Pokémon Center, Yuga could see the roads that led in all directions, the bustling pedestrians, the modern architecture, and the prominent billboard of the Pokétch Company.

Sinnoh's Pokétch Company was a major enterprise just like Silph Co. in Kanto and Devon Corporation in Hoenn. It was also a leading force in driving the economic development of Jubilife City.

The next day, Yuga, as usual, woke up early and brought his Pokémon to the backyard of the Pokémon Center to train.

As for Chatot, the lazy one, when Yuga woke up, it was still lying in bed with his legs in the air, drooling and sleeping soundly.

Neither Snorlax nor Noctowl required training, so Yuga left them in the room.

Yuga's few Pokémon had always progressed smoothly in their training.

Absol's training plan, focused on Future Sight, had already shown initial results. Its responsiveness and environmental awareness had greatly improved under the influence of foreseeing the future.

The only shortcoming was that its own strength couldn't support its brain's lightning-fast reaction speed, leading to deviations in its actions.

Currently, Yuga was gradually shifting its training focus toward enhancing its physique and raising its level. As for learning new skills, Yuga wasn't too rushed; after all, even if it learned numerous skills, without the ability to effectively utilize them, it would be pointless.

Thanks to its remarkable innate talent, Vivillon had consistently been the fastest-progressing member in Yuga's team. Especially in terms of comprehending and utilizing skills, it possessed unparalleled natural gifts.

For the Quiver Dance skill that Yuga had consistently emphasized its training in, it could now perform a Quiver Dance while moving. Even in the face of incoming attacks, it could smoothly execute Quiver Dance while evading.

As for Chimecho, Yuga's intended role for it had always been a pure support Pokémon. Under Audino's tutelage, its abilities in Heal Pulse and Heal Bell had grown increasingly proficient.

Additionally, its development in the Gravity skill had progressed smoothly. If it hadn't been for its quick wits, during the battle against Hunter J's Ariados, Florges would have fallen much sooner.

What caused Yuga the most headache was his starter Pokémon, Florges.

Her progress in developing the Misty Terrain ability had been slow, and at times, Yuga had considered abandoning his initial speculation. However, Florges was stubbornly persistent, firmly believing that she could achieve it. Yuga had no choice but to go along with her determination.

Although Yuga's conjecture about the terrain ability had yet to be realized, Florges had not been without gains. Her use of Fairy-type energy had become increasingly proficient, and her ability to generate Misty Terrain had grown faster. Additionally, she had become adept at creating Grassy Terrain as well.

While Yuga was instructing his Pokémon in training, he suddenly heard an explosion and cries of alarm. Unable to resist his curiosity, he rushed over to see what was happening.

Yuga was an early riser, and at this hour, there was no one around. He wondered who else could be up so early and causing such a commotion.

Circling around some trees, Yuga arrived at another training area and saw a fierce clash between an Magmortar and an Electivire. However, the Electivire seemed to be acting strangely.

It was blatantly disregarding its Trainer's commands, launching indiscriminate attacks all around it. The training area was already in shambles.

It was in a state of confusion.

Should I help? Yuga wondered.

Clearly, these two Pokémon were engaged in battle training. If he intervened, he might disrupt their training, but if he didn't, the Electivire's situation would only worsen.

At that moment, the people on the training field noticed Yuga and his Chimecho. They shouted towards Yuga, "Hey there, can your Chimecho lend a hand? Our Electivire seems to be losing control."

Since the Trainer had spoken up, Yuga didn't need to hesitate any longer. He turned to Chimecho and said, "Chimecho, Heal Bell."

As Chimecho shook its body, a clear and melodious ringing sound echoed. The confused Electivire gradually calmed down amidst the chaos. However, it seemed somewhat exhausted.

"Thank you so much."

Once the Electivire had calmed down, the Trainer of the Magmortar expressed gratitude to Yuga. That person with distinctive red curly hair was indeed Flint, whom Yuga had seen yesterday.

"It's nothing much, just lending a hand. I was actually debating whether I should help you guys," Yuga replied with a nonchalant wave of his hand.

At that moment, the Trainer of the Electivire recalled his Pokémon into its Poké Ball and approached.

"Thanks to you, my Electivire gets unusually aggressive when it falls into a state of confusion, even more so than other Pokémon."

Speaking this time was Flint's friend, Volkner.
