I'm the Owner of the Pokémon Day Care In the World of Pokémon

Chapter 150: Team Aqua of Lilycove City

Chapter 150: Team Aqua of Lilycove City

When Yuga and the others were playing beach volleyball, May became very interested and insisted on joining them.

Norman and Caroline couldn't resist May's enthusiasm and eventually agreed.

With May joining, the numbers on both sides became uneven, so they needed one more person.

Both Norman and Caroline felt they were too old to join, and Max was too young, so Robert called Kris over.

May joined Yuga's team, while Kris joined her cousin's team.

Luna, Rand, and May were all children, and Budew, Swablu, Misdreavus, and Blitzle weren't much older. So, during the game, Yuga, Robert, and Kris were mostly accommodating to them.

The group had a great time playing until noon when Yuga's group separated from Norman's group and returned to their seaside hotel for lunch.

Since the Clawitzer and Clauncher they had tamed were still with Yuga, he planned to go to the city center of Lilycove to buy some Pokéblocks for them in the afternoon.

Pokéblocks were the kind of thing that usually filled a Pokémon's stomach with just one or two pieces, so even though Yuga had a total of over thirty Clawitzer and Clauncher, it wasn't much trouble to feed them.

Since he was only going to buy Pokéblocks, Yuga didn't disturb others and went to the city center alone.

Even the Pokémon he brought along were only Linoone, Greninja, and Audino. He left the rest of the Pokémon at the seaside hotel so they could relax. After all, their training was quite intense every day.

As for why he brought Linoone and the others, it was because they were no longer actively participating in training.

At Yuga's Day Care, the Pokémon that weren't actively training included Audino, Linoone, Swellow, and Great Flygon. Linoone and Audino were fine; they would usually help out at the store and ecopark. Swellow and Great Flygon were the epitome of idleness.

But Yuga didn't intervene much with them.

Firstly, their strength was relatively strong, especially Great Flygon and Audino, who were like semi-dominant figures.

Secondly, they couldn't be considered Yuga's true Pokémon, especially Audino, Linoone, and Swellow. They joined Yuyu's Day Care as employees, so Yuga respected their autonomy.

With Linoone and Audino by his side (Greninja was in a Poké Ball), Yuga walked through the streets of Lilycove City, admiring its bustling scenery.

Although this was Yuga's second time in Lilycove City, he had only passed through before to get to Johto. Now he finally had the chance to appreciate this renowned city in the Pokémon world.

Why was Lilycove City so famous in the Pokémon world?

Because when cities like Mauville City and LaRousse City were still underdeveloped in Hoenn, Lilycove City, Goldenrod City in Johto, Castelia City and Nimbasa City in Unova were collectively known as the Four Great Cities of the Pokémon world.

Back then, cities like Jubilife City in Sinnoh, Saffron City in Kanto, and Lumiose City in Kalos had not yet developed. It was only with the passage of time that regions rapidly developed, and many cities rose to prominence, eventually surpassing Lilycove City's status. The title of being one of the Four Great Cities of the Pokémon world faded as well.

Nevertheless, Lilycove City remained prosperous. It connected the land and the ocean in Hoenn and served as an important gateway for international exchanges. Moreover, it was the most popular location for Pokémon Contests in Hoenn. It boasted the largest Contest Hall.

Being a gateway for Hoenn, Yuga could see people with Pokémon from various regions walking the streets, such as the Shinx from Sinnoh, the Patrat from Unova, and the Furfrou from Kalos. This city's diversity and inclusiveness were fully displayed.

Here, Yuga saw art galleries brimming with artistic flavor, bustling department stores, and even Pokémon Trainer clubs. However, Yuga didn't linger in these places much; after all, he wasn't here to play today.

Devon Corporation also had a branch in Lilycove City. Yuga usually bought Pokéblocks from there. Today, that was his destination. Even though the department store sold Pokéblocks as well, Yuga didn't go inside.

As Yuga passed by an alley beside the department store, he suddenly saw two men wearing headscarves and blue-and-white striped outfits carrying an unconscious person into the alley.

"Members of Team Aqua?"

Yuga recognized the distinctive attire of Team Aqua members at a glance.

"Linoone, Audino, let's follow and see." Yuga turned to the two Pokémon beside him and said.

Yuga wasn't someone who like to meddle, but he certainly disliked Team Aqua and Team Magma, two troublesome organizations, especially after Team Magma had attacked him before.

Yuga was content with his peaceful and carefree life, but the existence of these two organizations undeniably posed a threat to his current lifestyle. If they achieved their goals, it would lead to turmoil in Hoenn.

"Audino!"

"Linoone!"

Audino and Linoone nodded in response to Yuga's words.

So, Yuga discreetly followed the two Team Aqua members with his two Pokémon, wanting to find out what they were planning.

As Yuga got closer, he realized that the person they were carrying was a woman with short brown hair.

Passing through the alley, they arrived at the front of a warehouse. Yuga saw them place the unconscious woman into a truck, unaware of where they intended to take her.

Just as the two were about to sit in the driver's seat to leave, Yuga took action.

"Linoone, use Shadow Ball!"

A black Pokéball struck the truck door, preventing the two Team Aqua members from getting in.

Yuga had changed his mind about intervening because if they got into the truck, he wouldn't be able to catch up. Unlike movie and TV protagonists, he wasn't adept at concealing himself and climbing onto vehicles.

"Who's there!"

The two Team Aqua members dodged the Shadow Ball attack. One of them shouted loudly and cautiously released their own Pokémon, two Corphish.

As soon as they released their Pokémon, two more Shadow Balls shot out, knocking the Corphish to the ground.

Seeing their Pokémon being immediately defeated by this unseen adversary, fear crept into the hearts of the two individuals. They trembled uncontrollably.

Retrieving their fallen Corphish, they each sent out a Zubat and shouted, "Whoever you are, come out! Don't hide like a coward."

Observing their rather lackluster strength, Yuga saw no need to remain hidden. He stepped out with Audino and Linoone from the corner of the wall.
