Chapter 139: Negotiable? or eliminated.
Battles after battles.
Beast man after Beast man.
Yet, the Death wolf was still standing.
It didn't even seem like she had been fighting. By now she should have been exhausted after battling so many people, but she wasn't, not a tad bit different from when she walked into the cage.
'I didn't expect her to be this strong after the upgrade, though I did send over one million vitality points to her...'
Ha Joon gave a weird chuckle, 'This must be how rich people feel when they have too much money and can't tell when they are spending unusually.'
During his solo thinking, Ha Joon noticed some people dressed in black had begun to move in a strange pattern around the area .
"The last opponent! Smasher!"
Now in the ring with Terra, was a Bear Beast man, grunting and groaning as he stared at her furiously.
The crowd weren't too excited, the death wolf had won every battle since she stepped in, there was no doubt she would win this one too.
"Fight!"
Just like every other opponent that stood before her, the Bear charged forward.
Terra was more than ready to intercept, her fist clenched, and her feet taking a well balanced stance.
The moment her opponent leaped to the air to pounce on her, she immediately took a single step to the side, her fist colliding with it's jaw.
This was where all her opponent dropped. On the first attack.
The bear beastman though- did not.
He suddenly turned his head to the side, with his sharp and dangerous mouth open.
It was unexpected, Terra had no way to react.
Before she could even think of pulling back her hand that was already all the way inside the beastman's mouth -
**Chaaaap!**
Her bones were crushed.
The bear beastman had snapped his jaw on her hand, wrapping it off from her elbow.
As soon as the bear dropped to the ground, his back rolling on the ground.
The cheers of the people that had been quiet for a while came raining in.
But then they noticed something was off.
Not only was Ha Joon calm, but the wolf girl that was bleeding out did not make a single noise, not even a hint of pain was written on her face.
'I can't feel the pain... is this because of my master? A strange man is what he is.'
Terra smiled through her gloomy expression, watching as her arm grew back, tissue to tissue.
Obviously this shocked the whole arena.
It was well known that beast men had amazing healing factors, but not so good that they could grow back a severed limb.
"Terra, hurry up and finish him already, we don't have all night."
Ha Joon had his arms tucked as he yelled from outside the cage.
"As you wish... Master."
The final words the beastman would hear, before his head went rolling off his shoulder as Terra sent a flying kick to his direction.
Headless and defeated, the Bear beastman collapsed to the ground, his body soaked in the pool of his own blood.
Terra looked down at him, ignoring the angry and jealous gazes she was receiving from the audience.
"May your soul rest in peace."
Her way of giving her respect to the soul she had just killed.
Just like her, he was forced to fight a battle he never wanted. A slave to the nobles of Camelot.
"And we have a winner! Death wolf!!!" The announcement spoke, some cheering and other gritting their teeth in anger.
Through it all, Ha Joon observed every single one of them, allowing his system to tag them all, including the people in black robes.
He had gotten most of what he needed, all that was left was the visiting he had been expecting since the beginning of the match.
"Good day sir, the boss would like to see you." A man dressed in a black cloak whispered behind Ha Joon.
_grin_
'Bingo.'
It had arrived.
He turned around he faced the individual.
"About damn time. Take me to him."
...
In every illegal business, there was always someone pulling the strings behind the scenes. A place of gamble would have a man trying to make sure his business doesn't sink to the ground.
When a random individual comes into his business and keeps winning the jackpot upon jackpots, it would only be a matter of time before the owner of the business makes a difficult decision.
Either negotiate with the man in a way that benefits both him and the customer.
Or... eliminate him.
Ha Joon knew he was about to face one of those two.
'Question is, which one?'
Ha Joon was seated on the couch, Lyra and Terra beside him.
At the other side of the center table, was the man Ha Joon had been waiting to meet.
The owner of the organisation.
He was dressed in a rather fancy way, a white shirt with a jacket covering it, and a white hat on his head, while holding a cigarette in his mouth.
"You must be the one with the Death wolf." Said the man, sniffing his cigarette to the side.
Positioned all around the room were the same individuals dressed in cloaks Ha Joon had found in the arena.
"Yes, I am. Should I assume there's a problem?" Ha Joon asked.
"Ahh, you are open minded, this will make things easier on my end."
The man leaned forward, staring directly at Ha Joon. Though he could not see his face since it was hidden under the hood of the cloak.
"Open it."
"What?"
"Open the cloak, I want to see your face." The man spoke, his voice far from being nice.
"And if I refuse?"
"Then I'm afraid you cannot take such a valuable slave with you."
The man leaned back on the chair, almost as if daring Ha Joon to say a thing against him.
'I expected this, step one is for them to try and negotiate with me.'
Ha Joon raised his head a bit, "Oh? And why is that? I bought her with my own money, did I not?".
"Of course you did, but see, if you keep coming back here with such a powerful slave, it won't be long until I'm out of business. And besides, there are people who would want her for far more. So how about we do this... I'll give you another slave in ret-"
"Not gonna happen."
'"..."
The man frowned.
"Sorry to break it to you, but regardless of whatever noble you are, when you come down here, you answer to me. I am the governor, do you understand the things I can do to you?"
The man had begun to threaten Ha Joon, something Ha Joon had seen coming a mile away.
"I understand, but I do not intend to give my slave away."
Ha Joon said to the man without one looking away.
He was able to identify that William, the governor in charge of the military supplies is involved. All that was left was for him to leave the place, with his identity still hidden.
The fact Ha Joon refused to accept what William wanted, meant one thing -
Step 2- he was going to be eliminated.
Every individual in black cloak had activated their magic, flames, ice bullets, rock and even lightning, all aimed at Ha joon and his companions.
'Now they want to kill me, typical.' Ha Joon scoffed.
"I've tried to be reasonable with you, but it seems like you are one of those people who just want to give me a headache. You die now, I'll be sure to keep your lady friend entertained and safe."
A grin formed on William's face as he gawked at beautiful Lyra.
Can't say the same for her as she was immediately disgusted by him.
"Master."
"Yes, go ahead, it can't be helped." Ha Joon sighed.
His go ahead was all she needed.
Lyra stood up from the chair without saying a word.
"Oh? You're leaving his side already? Hahahaha, excellent choice, come to me baby, I'll take good care of you. Women are snakes after all."
William felt joy, watching as Lyra was walking towards him.
The joy faded just as quickly as he felt Lyra's fist connect to his face.
Blood spewed, his body flying and slamming against the wall.
Before any of the men around the room could react, Terra and attacked, pouncing on them one by one and ripping them apart.
Lyra had to eventually join in, her's more calm.
In less than five minutes, the two monsters had killed every single cloaked man in the room.
All that was left was William, whose eyes were only half way open to see Ha Joon walking out of the room with his companions following behind him.
"W...wait, you....can't take th...e slave." He managed to let out.
To his surprise , Terra dashed back into the room, stomping on his body multiple times with so much rage, before calmly exiting again.
