I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 287: Heaven Killer

Chapter 287: Heaven Killer

There was a wide grin on Elliot's face when he saw that the quest was completed.

This meant that he can absorb the artifact and the Manual doesn't want it.

"Remember, you have to tell me everything that happens after you absorb this artifact," Madam Locraine said. "My records need the information. At least as a consolation since I can't be the one to absorb it."

"Got it," Elliot said and walked in front of the stone chair. There was an intense and powerful aura coming from the item. It wasn't like one of the artifacts Connor brought from Inferno. This felt like it was a couple of times more than those.

"This is a Celestial-rank artifact," Madam Locraine said. "This means that the artifact is very powerful and it can change an Adventurer's course of life. One whiff of this power and you shall become great."

Elliot gulped and placed his hand on the chair. He felt like his hand was going numb as the power coming from the chair was reacting with his touch. "Madam Locraine, this artifact is very strong."

With a deep breath, Elliot brandished his sword and tapped his Weapon Gem on the stone chair gently. The item lit up with a bright yellow color, igniting with a surge of power that Elliot felt like it was making him high.

'Absorb artifact?'

Without a second thought, Elliot tapped the yes button. He let his Console absorb the artifact, letting the newfound powers run through his veins.

'Artifact absorbed.'

'Skill [[ Heaven Killer ]] gained.'

The name of the skill alone gave off the idea of what it can do. Even when Elliot wasn't the sharpest person in the world, he knew it was a power to slay a person from Heaven.

With a smirk and a slight disappointment, Elliot turned to Madam Locraine, "It gave me a boost against Heaven dwellers."

"What does it do?" Madam Locraine's eyes widened. She ran towards Elliot and held his hands. "Elliot, what does it do? Is it an offensive spell? Defensive?"

"A boost," Elliot said. "But it takes Arcane Points. That's going to be tricky."

"I have antique items that has a linger of Arcane Points in them," Madam Locraine said. "But I will give them to you for free. I need your performance for my study, Elliot. Let's go out and test this."

"Then, I will gladly volunteer as your subject," Elliot offered. "I'm willing to give you all the information you need."

"Good, good," Madam Locraine nodded. "But first we need to"

The room suddenly darkened. The ember lamps all died out in a flash. There were three black figures that leaped in rapid motions throughout the room. It looked like they were Stealth Knights, roaming around and watching over them.

Elliot was about to take a step forward when Madam Locraine opened her fan and raised it to her side to block Elliot. "Don't move."

"Madam Locraine, what is happening?" Elliot whispered. "Are your Rogues warning you about something?"

"These are not my people," the woman said. "Come out now."

The figures continued on moving from one place to another. They were moving stealthily but at the same time, they were exposing their presence. It was like they were hiding, but they want Madam Locraine and Elliot to know that they were there.

"We're here for the Excalibur," a voice said in a whisper-like voice. It was a voice that held mystery but also an underlying threat.

"You will never get King Arthur's sword," Madam Locraine grit her teeth. Her free hand was clenching, the veins from her arms were starting to get visible as she trembled in anger. "You even dare enter my vault."

"Madam Locraine, who are these people?" Elliot whispered.

Before the woman could answer, a tall male figure walked past the glass casing of the antique items and the column stands. He tapped each casing as he pass through the aisle, the glass firing electric shocks that doesn't seem to affect him.

"We are Madam Locraine's previous workers," the man replied to Elliot's question. "You know, we were her strongest Rogues."

"But then" a female voice spoke this time. As the man walked, there were two more figures that walked on either side of him, appearing from the shadows. "She hoarded the sword that our clan desperately wanted."

"As if it was yours in the first place," Madam Locraine scoffed. "Your petty clan stole this from the ancient kingdom of Camelot. You then harnessed its power to benefit your own selfish goals and then"

"It doesn't matter!" the other woman screamed. "Givecherie clan will have the sword back and we will take the crown from House Alorde."

"Pathetic little b*tches," Madam Locraine whispered and spun.

Elliot gulped when the woman's sequin dress morphed into a tight bodysuit. The suit hugged Madam Locraine's body tightly, the woman held her breath as she felt the tightness of her suit.

"Still looking disgusting as ever," the man chuckled and the women laughed.

"These" Madam Locraine stopped herself and leaped from the ground. Elliot gasped as he never realized that the woman could move so quickly. The boy gasped as he saw that the plump woman's body became slim in a blink of an eye. Her body was now an hourglass shape, her thighs and her arms looking like sticks, making her look like a Stealth Knight.

"And there we go," the first woman chuckled. "The transformation of the ugly to meh."

"Everyone has the right to look like what they want to look like," Madam Locraine. "In this world, as long as you have the right morals, no matter what you look like or what you like, you're accepted."

"Pathetic quote," the man laughed lightly. "It's been years and you're still this petty? Thinking that everything should be equal even those who are monsters."

"I saw a Champion in the kingdom's little competition," the second woman said. Her words rang on Elliot's ear like they were bells. "There was a man who dressed like a woman. That was disgusting. After we take Excalibur, we'll kill that freak"

A swift breeze of cold air went past through her. The woman huffed after she heard a sound of flesh landing on the ground.

Elliot was right behind them, his eyes glowing with a bright red color. His sword was out, extending in front of him and blood dripping from it.

The woman fell to the side, losing her balance as she felt the blood ooze from below her knees. She looked at her missing limb, screaming as she felt the pain.

"You don't deserve that leg," Elliot said, lowering his leg and looking at the three. "Insult my friend again and you'll lose more than your leg."
