291  End of the party!

Zhao Tian and Natalie Thompson sat there silently as they heard the minister yapping about those nukes.

Music began to play and the waiters again began to serve the beverages.

The people could only sigh in their hearts. After saying a top secret so casually, now they are serving beverages and playing music.

Some people began to stand up and leave the place. Along with the small crowd, Natalie Thompson left the place and following her, Zhao Tian also left the party.

As Zhao Tian came out of the party, he saw Natalie Thompson hurriedly walking through the royal hallways to exit the palace.

Zhao Tian narrowed his eyes looking at her back, wondering whether to follow her or not. "No, I will go and meet Luo first."

As he made his way down the dimly lit alley, he swiftly donned his dark robes, concealing his identity as he crept towards the back of the palace, where he was set to meet up with Cai Luo and Hun Xiang in their designated place. There is a large tavern with brilliant lights and Zhao Tian sensed the presence of both of them on the upper floors of the tavern.

As he entered the tavern, he got side glances from the people who were sitting, but they didn't mind him much, as many people come and go out of this tavern on a daily basis.

He quickly made his way up the stairs and knocked on one of the doors as he faintly uttered "Luo."

A few seconds later, the door creaked open and Zhao Tian saw Cai Luo wearing her mask. "Come in."

Zhao Tian entered the room and lowered his hood, removing his mask. *smooch* In the next instant, Cai Luo wrapped her arms around his neck and took his lips in a soft kiss. Zhao Tian too, without hesitation, reciprocated the kiss.

Pulling back from the kiss, she hushed in his ear in a low voice "Glad you are alright, Tian."

Zhao Tian smiled gently and patted her head as she asked "What happened at the party?" and at this time, Hun Xiang also walked closer to them.

Zhao Tian spoke in a low voice so only the three of them could hear, "It's just the minister showing off about the nukes to the big shots. And why did you order a room here?"

Hun Xiang gestured at him and walked to one of the windows in the room. As the three of them walked to the window, a chill night breeze hit their faces, tousling their hair.

Hun Xiang extended her hand, pointing at a large building in the distance, quite close to the castle.

Zhao Tian squinted his eyes and Cai Luo muttered in his ear "The research lab. According to Xiang's findings, it is where they mutate humans into wolves while also researching the nukes."

"So we need to destroy that first."

Cai Luo gave a faint nod upon hearing this "Yeah, as long as we destroy that and kill the researchers, we can stop them from creating nukes."
