Chapter 86: Next Step In The Relationship?
Kyle tried to end the conversation but he felt like the woman was testing him.
He sighed because he knew that he would run into her once again but this was an opportunity for him to scratch her car and pay for the damages.
That way, she would not only know that he could buy the very car she was trying to show off but there would be no lingering attachment after he had done so.
"Hey, did you park that way intentionally?" Kyle finally asked her, he hadn't moved yet.
"Why would you ask that? Are you saying women can't drive?" She questioned with a raised brow, her demeanour was different from the woman he met inside.
She was more aggressive and confrontational, he didn't know what was wrong with her but drama was the one thing he didn't have time for.
He was going to remove himself from the situation but only after putting her in her place.
"No, just you. You are clearly a bad driver if you can't even park right…" Kyle was blunt, he wasn't going to censor his words.
The most annoying thing about all of this was there were other places that she could have parked.
This was equivalent to a guy skipping multiple urinal stalls to take a piss right next to you.
" I'm just pulling your leg!" The lady burst out laughing but Kyle didn't find this amusing.
Quite the opposite, this was no joke and he wasn't in the mood either.
"Well, you're pulling the wrong one," Kyle fired back, words rolling off his tongue so smoothly, that one would think he was born with the grace of wooing women right from birth.
The lady winked suggestively and this confirmed that she had not only tried to get under Kyle's skin just for the fun of it but flirted with him.
Not a lot of things irritated Kyle but this was one of the few things that did, he hated people like this. He misjudged, she didn't want to interact with him because of his money because it was clear she was doing well for herself.
She wanted to because she was trying to humble him for some unknown reason, a pointless show of power.
Kyle left the place and headed back home to get some rest, he was exhausted as it was and needed the comfort of his bed.
He parked his car and noticed that Jones wasn't around, his car was missing after all but considering the project they were about to embark on, this was expected.
"Man, I can't wait to fucking sleep," Kyle said, he left his bag in the car.
He was beginning to wonder if the steps he was taking to avoid Aiysha were over the top because it was an inconvenience to him.
Kyle walked to his apartment but the one thing he dreaded came to pass, Aiysha was standing in the hallway but she hadn't seen Kyle yet.
This gave him the option to either turn and return to where he came from or carry on with his plan to get back into his apartment.
There was no telling what kind of interaction awaited him with Aiysha but he knew he could control the narrative of the conversation.
He quickly recalled all of his conversation with Aiysha but he wanted to see how she interacted with others to see if he was overthinking it.
If this was how she talked to everyone then it would make more sense and in turn, make Kyle less on guard around her.
"Oh Kyle, it feels like ages since we last spoke," Aiysha spotted him ruling out his chance to retreat.
"Haha! It does feel like forever. How have you been?" Kyle exchanged formalities with her and all Aiysha did was smile.
"I have been great and it looks like you have a part to play in that," Aiysha confessed.
Kyle already knew what she was referring to without asking and that was the money but he didn't want to go into details.
"I guess you're welcome but I need to get some rest now," Kyle said with a slight bow.
Aiysha couldn't further the conversation either because Kyle didn't give room for that.
"It looks like your little girlfriend has tired you out," Aiysha commented prompting Kyle to stop in his tracks.
"The walls aren't soundproof, you know," Aiysha added. Kyle was embarrassed by this but Aiysha couldn't see his face so she had no way of knowing this.
Kyle didn't say a word before finally making his way into his room and shutting the door behind him.
"Did I say something to upset him?" Aiysha muttered to herself, she realized that she had brought up a personal affair and discussed it like they were friends.
He wasn't the only tenant she had heard of having sex so why was he the only one she went out of her way to inform them about their fornication?
She should have kept her mouth and wondered if she had crossed a line that she wasn't supposed to.
"Damn it, what has gotten over me?" Aiysha thought to herself before returning to what she was doing.
-
Kyle sat on his bed before his back hit the soft cushion on his mattress and then his energy disappeared. He couldn't do anything else at the moment.
"So she heard us and thinks Calista is my girlfriend?" Kyle wondered but he didn't try to clear the air because maybe this would shut the door to the possibility that could develop feelings for him.
He wanted to get rid of Calista from his harem with the card he got from the lottery draw. Besides, getting rid of Calista from his harem wouldn't mean that his access to her would have to come to an end.
Calista was a good fuck and that was all she was good for. Kyle would have called her over but he was aware of the movie's production starting today.
He kept in contact with Yuki, Mr. Nakamura's assistant and he wasn't going to interfere with that.
It was time for Kyle to make a move on Jane and take their relationship one step further.
