Chapter 405: A bit moody?
Chapter 405: A bit moody?
It was night by the time Tang Li woke up. She opened her eyes and glanced at the ceiling dazedly. Rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand, she yawned and rolled to the side. All the lights in the room were turned off except for the bedside lamps.
She glanced at the other side of the bed which was empty and cold. Was she dreaming about sleeping in his arms?
Shaking her head, she sighed and pushed herself to sit on the bed. Her body felt numb for a few minutes. Removing the blanket off her body, she noticed that she was wearing the same clothes since yesterday.
Her nose scrunched up in disgust as she got off the bed and ran inside the bathroom immediately. After taking a shower for almost one hour, Tang Li put on a robe herself and grabbed a towel before walking towards the bed.
Sitting on the bed in the dim lightings of the room, she lazily dapped the towel on her head wiping her wet hair.
''Lili, are you awake?" Mo Yuhan's voice was heard much before he entered the room.
She raised her head to look at him before averting her gaze.
He pursed his lips to stifle his laughter when he saw her extremely slow and lazy movements as she dried her hair. Grabbing the towel from her hand, he helped her dry her as gently as ever.
She closed her eyes, relishing in his soft and soothing touches.
"Here, it's done," He put the towel away before carrying her up in his arms, "Time to eat."
Her arms wrapped around his neck instinctively but she did not say anything.
He carried her all the way downstairs and placed her down near the dining table before pulling a chair for her.
She took a seat and glanced at the wide variety of dishes spread on the dining table, all of them were her favorites.
Taking a seat beside her, he extended his hand to serve the food on her plate.
She grabbed his wrist, "I am not hungry. You can eat first. I'll have something later," she softly said before standing up from the chair."
"Fine then. I am not eating too," The man softly said making her pause.
She turned around to look at him and raised an eyebrow, "Is it emotional blackmail?"
''If that works,'' He softly muttered looking at her like a guilty child, ''How long will you not talk to me?"
She opened her mouth to say something but decided against it and turned around to leave.
He grabbed her wrist.
"You"
''Shhh.."
Standing up from the chair, he dragged her towards the couch placed in the middle of the dimly lit living room.
He sat there first before dragging the woman onto his lap and locking her in his embrace.
Her lips twitched, "What are you doing? Let me go," She struggled a bit but the disparity in strength couldn't be more obvious.
"Not letting you go until you talk to me," He softly said, looking at her in utmost seriousness.
"Why do you even care?" She snapped, "Weren't you fine not talking to me for days? You even refused to recognize me. You came here all the way without informing me. After everything, I thought we would be going through all this together but you wanted to send me back. Yesterday, you didn't bother waking me up and left all on your own. Do you know how scared I was when I heard the gunshots? And after all thatyou still teased me? I thought wewere really dying," The more she spoke the more she felt indignant.
She could not forget how the whole yacht blasted to smitheries. Even though their helicopter was at a distance, they could still see it.
Regarding everything that happened in the past, she thought she was not holding onto it anymore but when he always faced the dangers alone, all those things automatically came back to her mind.
She sighed and shook her head, "Let me go. We have nothing to talk about anyway."
She tried to get out of his embrace but the man pulled her closer interlocking his fingers behind her back, "Not letting you go," He said, stroking her cheeks, "Yesterday, the situation was urgent but everything was under my control. And you were sleeping so peacefully that I did not have the heart to wake you up As for the rest of the things in the past, I'll not repeat them.
"What about your prank? I really thought we were dying," She bit her bottom lips, looking at him with an aggrieved expression on her face.
Mo Yuhan shook his head helplessly, "When did I prank you? I was about to say it but you kissed me first. I did not get the chance to say it."
The corner of her lips twitched. Did he have to say it like this? "I thought we were dying and we might not kiss each other again. What are you blaming me for?"
The man laughed, "I didn't blame you," With that, he cupped her cheeks and peppered soft kisses all over her face.
"Lili.."
"Uh-huh?"
"Are you still angry?"
She blinked at him, "I was not angry at all."
He pursed his lips with an expression that said 'I don't believe you at all'.
"OkayA little. I was just a bit moody?" She smiled at him.
He pecked her lips.
She loosened his grip from her waist and this time he let her. Standing up from the couch, she grabbed his hand and dragged him, "Let's go and eat first. I am hungry."
"Didn't you say you don't want to eat?" He chuckled, letting himself to be dragged by her.
"I was throwing tantrums. Couldn't you say that?"
Walking closer to her, he nuzzled his face near her neck, "You're not giving me that silent treatment again."
She paused and turned around to face him, "Mark says a couple should give each other space. I was just doing that," She spoke, trying her best to hide the teasing intent in her voice.
''That's why he is still single," Mo Yuhan nonchalantly said, "I don't want space. You should cling to me all the time."
She laughed, "You're so childish."
"You're not ignoring me again?" He asked, promptly avoiding her remark.
"Fine fine. I'm not."
